Wonderful place for families especially little ones. We went here recently and the kids loved it. (Private school event) There was a merry go round, train, and huge playground area. We spent the day at Blackberry Farm in Aurora and it honestly felt like a mini vacation without leaving the suburbs. It's perfect for kids -- pony rides, train ride, paddle boats, playgrounds and little farm animals to see. My kids stayed busy the entire time and there's enough space that it never felt overcrowded or stressful. Super stroller friendly too which I appreciated. Everything was clean and the staff were patient and kind with the kids. It's a calmer vibe than big amusement parks so parents can actually relax while the kids play. Great for younger ages especially. Such a good spring/summer activity and worth the price for how long you can stay and how much they can do. SO much fun. Made the drive from the city visiting family to aurora to check this place out after I saw some instagram posts about how cool it was. It is truly fun for all ages. My two year old loved the train ride, tractor ride, and carousel. And we also fed the goats, sheep, and alpaca. The map is easy to follow and even though we spent two hours ago we easily could have spent another two here! They have a cute little gift shop too. We visited on the 4th of July. I appreciate that it was open during the holiday. This was the perfect place for my 4 year old son. He could do every activity. We were there for 3 hours and could easily spend more time there if we wanted. Activities: Paddle boats Tractor ride Train ride Large play ground Carousel Pony rides Historical Museums Petting zoo It is $10 per person for non residents including adults. It wasn't that busy when we went so it made paying $30 less bad. The concession stand was reasonably priced and they had a decent amount of options. Hot dog, burger, chicken strips, nachos, slushies, popsicles, fries, etc. The food was pretty good. I would definitely come back! read more

BlackBerry Farm feels like a hidden treasure find and such a fun spot to bring little kids. It's a museum, farm, theme park, and playground all in one, but condensed into a manageable but still enjoyable space. Tickets were $10 per person (for everyone over 1 year old) and they have discounted tickets for residents local to Aurora. Hours are 11am to 5pm and you will end up staying the entire time. Everything was a hit, from the train ride to the paddle boats to the carousel rides. They also have pony rides, tractors wagon rides, plenty of playground space and farm animal feeding (an extra $3 per cup of feed). We came on a Sunday and the crowd size was just right. We got tickets at the gate, no need for reservations. Majority of attractions had minimal to no wait. There were multiple private parties going on that day so this seems like a very popular spot for the locals. I love that there were plenty of large picnic tables so it was easy to find a spot to eat lunch. read more

It was a free museum day on Wednesday August 16, 2023. We joined friends for a fulfilled day. I paid $4/person to be able to ride all of the rides. Me and my daughter enjoyed coming here. Knowing that the animals are rescues and have special needs and they hire employees with special needs was inspiring and wonderful to know that someone is actually helping a community. The farm has so much entertainment for kids (and also for adults with an inner child)! It has great playgrounds, a train that travels from the station around the lake and through the tunnel, farm animals that you can feed, a tractor that will take you to an old house with horses, and children can ride ponies while seeing the old-town museum buildings. I love their seasonal preparations - there was a small pumpkin patch for Halloween and the Christmas-decorated train. You can easily spend several hours there without getting bored, and there's a farm restaurant if you get hungry. I only wish they would be open for winter or at least for earlier spring months. read more

Until last weekend it had been about 10 years since I'd been here. Our last visit was when my son was pre-1, and he was stroller bound with a nook in mouth. They have a neat 'village' to walk through as well as a small train that runs around the perimeter of the property. Fast forward to last weekend. Absolute fantastic day for the kids. Easy to get around. Pay $9 for 2 and up but you get unlimited access to rides. We went on this beautiful Sunday...no waits..the ponies, carousel, hayride, train and playground area are fantastic for the little ones. My 5 year old granddaughter loved the little zipline. Nature is beautiful all around. Grounds are well kept and clean. The summer food area...picnic and water all around. Kudos to this place because they don't rip you off. Great burgers...$3...hot dogs 2.50..chicken tenders and jumbo pretzels all around 2.50. Thank you for being reasonable. Most places charge $8 for a hot dog...this is family friendly. Love Blackberry Farm! I grew up in the Aurora area and used to go here as a kid on field trips. Today I brought my 2 year old and I love to see that it is still flourishing and timeless. The park is super clean, and tons of fun for littles. Crowds were not terrible and all attractions were up and running. This is such a cute place for little ones. Unlike many places, the nominal admission fees cover all activities inside the farm. We went on a late Saturday morning when it wasn't busy. The farm was clean and spread out. Restrooms were plentiful and also clean. They have farm animals, a playground with zip lining, "bike area", corn play area, carousel, train ride, hay ride, pony rides, paddling in the pond and various historical displays on site. They also have a little cafe and plenty of picnic seating throughout the park. We saw that there were a couple birthday parties that took place in reserved seating areas. We spent at least 2 hours there, but could've stayed there longer as the admission covers an all day visit with no limit on the the attractions. Our little one had a blast and we loved the laid back environment. We will definitely be back. read more

We went to blackberry farms for their free day this week. I'm not sure what the pricing is on a normal day, but I do know that residents of the area get a discount. The location is a bit of a drive, but it's a great place!!! There is a huge playhouse, very fun, but if you have little ones, it can be hard to keep track of them unless you follow them around. There is a merry go round, a train, and a hayride. The kids can also ride ponies! We didn't get a chance to checkout the animals or the paddle boats, but they look like a lot of fun!! There is a snack stand with lots of food options, but we packed a lunch!! I would definitely recommend blackberry farm! read more

Our toddler enjoyed the choo choo train ride, carousel, twisty slides, toddler play area, animal barn feeding (though I was the one doing the feeding for sanitary reasons), and metal rods slide. My husband and I were traveling through the area and stopped by the BlackBerry Farm. This venue may be geared towards children, however there is a great deal of history in this place. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to speak with a Blacksmith, tour the grounds to see and feed the animals. We also had the opportunity to see antique vehicles. This was truly a great experience! I encourage you to go to this location if you have the time. This place is a favorite. We typically visit once per month during the summer and fall. They have wonderful theme days and events, the park is clean, staff is friendly and my son loves everything there is to do and see. As far as four stars, there are a couple reasons. 1. The pedal car area has dilapidated cars: some missing doors, steering wheels, etc. The area also seems to have ride on toys for either 1 year olds or 4 year olds... my son who is 2.5 can't fit into the baby cars and is too small to peddle the other cars. The milking cow has been broken forever as well. There are sand tables here but one has sand... this section just needs some TLC. 2. It seems that on most days I visit, something is closed... the paddle boats, horses, etc. 3. The carousel needs some love. Hide the eye sores of the inside. Kind of ruins the nostalgic feeling of being on one and reminds me of a rough carnival ride. read more

This is such a fun place to take the kids. If you come make sure you give yourself long enough to see the whole place. It is so big. Bring your own food, or eat before you come. They don't offer much at their concession stands, and what they do it expensive. They have pony rides, a marry-go-round, train rides, paddle boats, a petting zoo, huge play ground, zip lines, omg the list goes on. All included in the price of admission, which is cheap, so take your kids. They have special days and events that are going on often. They have civil war days where they show you how to make candles and have tee-pees up. They have events in the fall where you can paint pumpkins.. they do demonstrations and learning activities. This place is a gem for young families. My oldest is 9 and is still enjoying coming here. Not as much as the younger ones any more, but she has a good time too. If you haven't been here please come!!! It is a tradition to come here in my family and one I hope won't be broken soon. You would think this place would be falling apart for as long as it has been here, but it is in reallllly good condition. read more

Blackberry Farm is great. I was watching my grandkids (7, 5, and 3) for the weekend and was looking for something fun, engaging and energy-zapping. Our day at this historic farm fit the bill. The kids loved the real animals (especially Olivia-the-Pig) and pretend ones (the carousel). We rode the train, had a picnic lunch, and ran up hill and down dale. They would never have tired of the playground area (though I got tired of chasing them through it) and the zip line was splendid. There are boats and hay rides and ponies. We were there on the last weekend in October so we decorated pumpkins and 'trick or treated' along the way. With all of that, my granddaughter's favorite part was the old, historic schoolhouse with a costumed teacher who read stories. She was certain it was 'Laura and Mary's school' (Little House on the Prairie) and was enthralled. We left happy and tired--they slept all the way home. read more

First of all, the admission price was inexpensive $5 for residents $7 for non residents. My three year old and I had so much fun today! Clean and beautifully maintained. I would highly recommend this place to people with little ones. For a small entrance fee, you are able to ride the train, carousel, ponies, hay ride and paddle boats as many times as you want! There is also a petting zoo/discovery barn area and an outdoor playland. Plus tons of other things to explore. We can't wait to go back! My only suggestion for improvement would be to spruce up the gift shop a little. Maybe start carrying some sun block and there were no child sized hats. Living in the city, I had read about Blackberry Farm many times and was disappointed it was so far away. One weekend, while camping with some friends, we decided to detour and found our way to Blackberry Farm. What a charming place! It was affordable and had so much to do. It wasn't crowded. It was clean. Lines weren't an issue at all. The kids ranged from 3-6 and it was absolutely perfect for them. They had a blast! The paddle boats were great and the kids went nuts over the train and carousel. Really a great time all around! Wish it were closer, but I'll make it a point to get out here every once in a while. read more
