Spa customers get complementary valet parking. The space for the beauty bar is beautiful and relaxing. Dottie did both of my services. She did a fantastic job and was a real pleasure to visit with. She's got a great energy about her; she's really down-to-earth and welcoming. I love that the pedicure was done with FarmHouse Fresh products which are my favorite. If you're looking for a wedding hair stylist, Angela is the absolute best! I initially found Rah Beauty Bar through Yelp and other reviews on wedding websites. I live in San José, so I had to heavily rely on these reviews to pick vendors for my destination wedding in Lake Tahoe, and I am SO happy to have gone with Angela and Rah! From the beginning, Angela was extremely responsive and the excellent communication continued all the way through my big day. She also created a timeline for everyone getting their hair done and was very accommodating to changes in the schedule, even on the day of. My makeup was running overtime, which made me late for my hair slot, but Angela didn't mind and even started working on my hair while the makeup artist finished up. I'm addition, she was wonderful with all of my family and bridesmaids. I made an appointment for a manicure late afternoon this past Saturday. At the last minute, I realized that I didn't do a pedicure too but I was so thankful that Dottie was able to fit me in despite it being her Friday. She was incredibly easy to talk to, made the experience fun (despite my feet being super ticklish) & crazy efficient. I have always loved Rah, and when it came to planning my wedding their was no question as to where I was going to get my hair and makeup done. I didn't even need to look at any other salon because I knew not one would match up to Rah. The girls here are the most talented in town! I felt absolutely stunning and with the price comes the quality! My hair and makeup lasted ALL NIGHT (and some). Not only did my hair and makeup look amazing but my sisters, bridesmaids, moms, aunt and grandma all looked absolutely stunning. Not one person walked out not being entirely beautiful. Angie the owner is amazing too she really worked with me and they helped so much when making my decisions. I would not have had any other business taking care of me on my big day. No one will give u all of this with the long lasting touch. The girls are extremely thorough as well! Wow where to begin, first it was nearly impossible to make an appointment as no one seems to answer phones at the resort or at the spa. Once we were able to book an appointment and due to the large snowstorm I was running 10 to 15 minutes late for my appointment and was trying to call them but again no one answers their phones. In the meantime my grandmother went up to the spa looking for me there was only one person behind the desk and she was on her own phone. So my grandmother open the door to the salon to see if I was there yet. Oh my gosh she was treated as if she had open the safe and was robbing it! The woman put down her phone and started yelling at my grandmother asking her what she was doing she said she was looking for her granddaughter the woman kept yelling and telling her that the salon was a private space and she should not just enter it on announced! My Grandmother was so upset by the experience she just walked out. When I arrived I ran into her she told me what Happened. WOW! She spoke with a manager at the hotel and told him she was canceling the appointment and better not be charged. He said he was going up to the salon to talk to them. Incredibly ridiculous part of this entire story is that no one apologized in anyway. We were later talking about our experience to three other women and they told us we didn't miss anything they were in the salon for hair and nails and all three were very disappointed.
