I've been a member at Blo Blow Dry Bar for over a year now, and I couldn't be happier with my membership! I've tried several stylists there, and they've all been wonderful, but Damaris is my girl! She is absolutely the best -- so talented, so sweet, and I always leave loving my hair. One of my favorite parts of having a membership is never having to wash and style my own hair. Would love to do a poll: if you receive an email on 1/14/26 about an encouragement to sign up for a Blo Membership with a specified $80 a month & it comes from the Blo Rocklin location, and because of this email, you cancelled your existing Blo membership and re-enroll, is it the owner's responsibility to rectify the situation? No disclaimer. No asterisks. When you are given the owner's number, she stops responding as soon as you put any kind of pressure on her to hear you out and open up the room for a conversation (especially after originally leaving a 5 star review and being a Blo member). She refuses to give out an email, and just mentions that she set up a drip campaign 4 years ago and she has no idea where this came from (this came from her location's inbox). I believe that mistakes happen, but attitude and lack of effort to rectify is not a good look for the owner. Bringing this to the attention of others: there are other Blo salons that have $80 a month, even if membership is now $95, if you booked or cancelled under a pretense that came from the official location's messaging, you have a case to stand on. I had a really wonderful experience at Blo. I have never been to a blow out bar, as Im actually a hairstylist of 20 years and wasnt sure I needed a blow out bar in my life. Well let me tell you, I'am now a life long blow out fan! Everyone was so sweet and professional from beginning to end. The salon itself is gorgeous. I was offered champagne, received an amazing scalp massage and truly enjoyed the relaxation of the blow out itself. My stylist did a wonderful job on my hair, she did things with brushes and pin curls giving my flat hair volume, shine and staying power that Ive never had done before. My hair has lasted and still getting compliments 4 days later without having to do much but rebrush it. Normally my hair would look terrible by now lol. I have fell in love with blowouts and love that there are more options now in the Sacramento area. I was excited when I found out that a Blo Blowout Bar was opening. I know I might have taken a risk booking a blowout on the first day and within a few hours of them opening their doors for the first time. But I was blown away! (Haha, see what did there? ) I was greeted by Christie, one of the co-owners, as soon as I walked in the door. The place was bustling at 10am. I was a bit early for my appointment but didn't have to wait too long. I was put in the hands of the amazing Savannah. As she sat me down she asked what I had in mind and if I wanted to do one of the styles in the menu. She also let me know that they can personalize something. I wanted something in between the Holly Would and Pillow Talk so I let her know and she nailed it! After deciding what I wanted I was escorted to the shampoo station and that was heavenly. She thoroughly shampooed and conditioned my hair, I almost fell asleep haha. But as she was washing my hair we began to chat about the establishment. I found out that she is actually an employee of the corporation and flys all over the world to help assist in the opening and training of each location and stays the first day of opening to make sure things go smoothly. Then the blow out began, she did a great job and explained each step as she was going and the products she was using. She made some suggestions to help me get a better blowout on my own. I asked a bazillion questions and she was so patient and thorough in her answers. I learned a lot and discovered some fun new products. While getting my blow out the other co-owner, Patty, came around to say hi and check in with anyone. She was also offering something to drink. I chose coffee because it was early and she brought it out in the cutest cup! (See pictures) The place itself was beautiful and well thought out. They offer blowouts and makeup services. Things appeared to be running very smoothly for their first day of operations. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back! My bridesmaids and I chose to get our hair and makeup done in the salon on my wedding day and we could not have been happier! Everyone looked amazing, and the hair and makeup stayed flawless ALL day long! I felt like a beautiful princess and I received so many compliments. Our experience in the bar was so fun. Christie and the team took the time to make sure we were all comfortable and having fun. She even offered us complimentary coffee, tea, and drinks which was such a thoughtful touch. We had the whole salon to ourselves so it felt like our own private glam session, complete with fun music. The salon was also decorated so cute which made things extra fun! They even had a custom congrats sign made up at the entrance! Chantelle did my hair and makeup and I have never felt more beautiful. She did an amazing job. The makeup and hair trial looked perfect, but the day of my wedding was somehow even better. She listened to my input about not wanting very heavy or dark colors, and having a more natural look instead of heavy contouring. All of the stylists expertly recreated the pictures we brought in and offered advice for the girls who were unsure about what they wanted. I can't say enough how happy we were with the final result. Thank you again to the whole team! You were all incredibly talented and so fun to work with. I was looking for someone to add extensions and style for my girlfriends wedding! It was so last minute and when I made the appointment. It was fast and easy!. The parking lot next to the theater was absolutely jammed. They told me I was 10 minutes late and my stylist could only either wash my hair or do a dry blowout. Had been a repeat customer. The morning of my latest scheduled appointment, my child woke up vomiting and very sick. When calling to reschedule I was informed that I would also be charged a $25 fee for a changing the appointment even though it was due to circumstances beyond my control. They also would not let me use the gift card I have towards that fee. Terrible customer service. We as consumers are clearly not valued. Will be going to and recommending Dry Bar from now on. After a not so great initial experience, I was in a bit of a bind hair-wise and decided to give Blo another shot. The main reason why I decided to come back for another go was the fact that the owner left a very thoughtful message and reached out to me via email about my prior experience. It felt nice that she cared! This time around my stylists name was Denver and boy was she talented!!! Not only did she take the time to understand exactly the kind of look I was shooting for, but she also didn't rush throughout the process of styling my hair at all. Denver put so much care into each strand and I'm so so so happy with the finished product!!! Absolutely unimpressed. I booked a regular blow out (45 mins) accidentally as I have extensions so I should have booked the one with extensions which is 1 hour. I apologized, girl doing my hair was rude about it. She explained typically extensions take longer and the cost is different and she may not have enough time for my hair. Okay, whatever. In the middle of my hair she stepped aside to assist another customer checking out. So that took time away. At the end I was completed and checked out before 45 mins were up, and they still charged me for extensions when she completed my service under the 45 mins they allow for a regular blow out. Not worth it, don't go. Or maybe the girl I had just wasn't the one? I've brought my daughter in the past and loved everything about her experience. Me not so much! Do not go here for their diffuser service! I had an appointment at 10:30 on Thursday 10/12. RosLynn washed and diffused my hair. She did not know anything about curly hair. She put a strong hold gel in my hair and was touching my hair so much it turned into a frizzy, tangled mess! My hair was so dry from the gel. I did speak up and told her I wasn't satisfied, she attempted to fix it with MY guidance. But it wasn't a good experience. Had an appointment for a blowout & deep conditioning by Chelsea (I believe) along with makeup service by Kayla. They were running behind but were able to catch up during my appointment by working simultaneously. The owner Christie is very nice, friendly, and seems genuinely kind. When both Chelsea and Kayla first approached me, neither one introduced themselves and didn't seem to be in the best mood, but I introduced myself and confirmed their names. I later found out that they had had an extremely early start to their day as there was a large wedding party that had come at 6am, so I'm assuming they were tired by the time it was my appointment since I happened to be their last client of the day. Despite the initial lack of friendliness, they both were professional and answered my questions regarding the treatments and provided their recommendations for color schemes and styles including my questions about general hair & makeup, which I greatly appreciated. Throughout the course of the appointment we built rapport & chatted a little, and by the end I really liked them both. As for my makeup, Kayla was phenomenal. I am Asian with hooded eyelids. I've never liked how my eye makeup has looked in the past when makeup artists have done my makeup, but she truly did such a great job of giving me what I asked for (a soft glam look, ombré brows, a narrowed nose and larger lips). My eyebrows were I was complimented in the salon and by my friends when I sent a picture afterwards. I only wish I could have watched her do my makeup to learn how she did it, especially my brows! She very patiently explained things to me when I asked questions and let me know they sell the makeup products used. Kayla's skill far exceeded what I expected since she's only 24 (though she's been doing it for over 5 years)! Throughout the day I kept looking at my makeup trying to see what she placed where, but I know I'll never be able to recreate what she did, lol. Chelsea was also very skilled. She took her time to blowout and curl my hair. I didn't exactly get the style I had asked for, but it was still pretty waves. I have a ton of hair and it was a very hot day, so my hair fell flat by evening time. That happens when I style my hair though so I was expecting this. The last two times I have gone here, I had 2 different stylists, and they both did a poor job washing my hair. They only washed the top of hair, not underneath or my scalp. The total wash took maybe a minute. Today I booked a deep conditioning and a head massage, thinking I would get more of what I wanted with the hair wash...NOPE! The entire process, from the time I sat in the chair to the time I walked out the door was 18 minutes. I was suppose to get and I paid for a hair wash, deep conditioning, head massage, and blo dry with style (curl or straighten). All of that takes longer than 18 minutes, as I have long hair. I had the same hair wash experience as the last 2 times and I had again a different stylist, so they all must do a poor job. My bill was $80, but in 18 minutes, I did not get $80 worth of service. read more

Yesterday, I was on the hunt for a salon to get my hair washed and styled. Since it was Valentines Day, I was having a hard time finding a place. I called my regular salon and of course, they didn't have any availability. I tried a few other salons and they said that they were all booked up. I decided to search Yelp for a Salon not only in Roseville (where I live) but in Rocklin too which is only literally less than a 10 minute driving distance away. The first place I called was Blo Blow Dry and they said they have a 5:15 appointment available yay! I told them I would gladly take this appointment. They asked me for my name and phone number and then they said they would see me at that time. I was a little surprised that they didn't ask me what service I wanted. I asked the lady on the phone if I had to tell her what I wanted with my hair. She said- oh, you want a shampoo and a style right? I told her yes and she said that this is what this salon specializes in. When I entered the salon, it was empty but gorgeous inside and was so neat and clean too. I realized that all this salon provides is shampooing of the hair and a hair style of your choice which is pretty cool; no fussing around with haircuts, trims, coloring or anything like that. They also provide makeup services too if you want it. The woman at the front desk handed me a drink menu and asked me if I would like something to drink; I picked ice water but the other options were wine, tea, coffee or a glass of champagne. I immediately got my hair washed first in a clarifying shampoo (that smelled amazing) then with a moisturizing shampoo. My hair was then blow dried and styled very slick, straight and shiny. My hair looked gorgeous and so pretty for Valentines Day. I will definitely be back the next time I want my hair washed and styled for a special occasion. I showed up for my appointment and the person I was scheduled with was running behind, which wasn't a big deal. But I was told by the front desk girl that Carley Pollack would start me by washing my hair. Ten minutes later, no one had pulled me back so I asked the front desk girl if the other woman would be washing my hair and she said "No, your girl is almost done so she will be doing it now". But had I not asked, I wouldn't have known. Then my stylist RosLynn Turinsky pulled me back to wash my hair, but before doing so, continued to wipe at her nose with her bare hands. I tried to shake it off because she didn't touch me until she had me at the shampoo bowl. I explained to her that I was really looking forward to the head massage that I had paid extra for; which is supposed to be an additional ten minutes. While she's washing my hair, the front desk girl comes over and they proceed to gossip over me about the previous guest that my stylist was working on and how that previous guest had a friend that they had referred and how she wouldn't be coming back because she had the "most terrible experience". It was super unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. Then my stylist only massaged my head for two minutes. It was super rushed and extremely underwhelming. While I was getting my hair styled, the stylist who was supposed to start washing my hair originally, Carley, was talking disparagingly about the Mormon religion with her client. I'm not Mormon, but they didn't know that and it just felt really unprofessional. Overall, my stylist did an ok job on the styling of my hair itself, but I was already so disappointed by the experience that I won't be coming back. read more

Cassie was excellent at check in. She made sure I had a beverage while waiting, and that I was comfortable. Luis was amazing from start to finish. Even though I had a basic wash, he made sure everything was right and was very thorough. I had a "pillow talk" blow out for an anniversary night out with my husband. My hair never holds a curl, but Luis made sure to not let that happen. My hair was perfect all night, and even looked great in the morning. I even had a "quick lip" service done, and Luis made sure I was wearing the perfect color. 10/10 I would recommend and return! read more

Changing my review from a 1 to 3, until I try it again. **************************************************** Let me preface this by saying my friend came with me to both get our hair done for a wedding - she had a great experience, but I did not. My friend was offered a refreshment. I was offered nothing. I had to ask several times to get a glass of champagne (like my friend). That wasn't very cool. As my friend and I were at the bowls getting our hair washed, I glanced over to see my friend getting a wonderful scalp massage. I did not get a massage with the wash at all. The stylist I had did not introduce herself and didn't talk very much. She handed me the book and I chose the beachy waves blow out. When I was done, my hair was curled in ringlets she made about half way down with the straight iron. That was NOT at all what I asked for, but I didn't have time to get it done all over again - as I had a wedding to attend. I could have done my hair better for the day, which was a shame and a waste of money. My friend's hair turned out just how she asked. In fact, the stylist grabbed the girl from the front desk and they asked my friend to pose in front of this darling lighted display and they took several photos of her. My stylist just quietly disappeared and I guess my hair didn't "need" or "deserve" a photo anyway, but it just added to the whole overall negative experience. I then make my way to the front desk to pay, and the woman at the front says "we will take your friend first" (to pay). It was rather rude, and I thought "Why? I was done first, I'm at the counter first..?" I watched my friend get checked out and they wished my friend a fun time at the wedding and she went on her way. When it was my turn to be rung up, they tried to charge me $50 for getting a set of eyelash strips put on. I did get them done (not to my satisfaction either), but I was told it would be $15. They wanted to charge me $95 for my time there... wow. So the woman at the front desk did end up correcting the charge for me. Keep in mind, my stylist didn't say a word and was already headed out the door. Oh, and as I was leaving do you think anyone wished me fun at the wedding? Nope. (It's funny since I was the one who told them where we were headed next.) I had a pretty lousy experience and my hair looked COMPLETELY different than what I requested, and my lashes were not very good either. The only nice thing was at one point (soon after I got there) one of the owners said hi and introduced herself, and the deco in there was cool. Bottom Line: I was really excited when I got there, then I walked out TOTALLY DEFLATED and feeling like a "red-headed stepchild" and I paid for that!! read more

Squeezed me in late and stayed around to make sure my Experience was perfect. Only opened in August and it is super clean but it did not have a brand new shop feel. I can't say enough great things about my experience here. I called last week to ask about booking six blow out appointments for a Saturday morning, knowing it was a long shot with such short notice. I spoke with Christie (who I believe is the owner/one of the owners) and she said she would see what she could pull together and call me back. Sure enough, she was able to get six appointments back to back for us set up so we could keep our party together. I had attempted to set something like this up at the DryBar location in Roseville, but couldn't get in touch with the store to make the scheduling work. As promised, we had three stylists ready to go at 7am for the first of the appointments. Chantel did my hair, and I believe Julie and Iqra did my sister's hair and one of the other girls. All the stylists did a wonderful job and made the day really special for us, even having to be there so early to accommodate us all. We were all offered a drink of choice, and they had all six of us done with plenty of time to spare to make it to our party bus to start the day. The salon itself is so fun and colorful, and the music they had the morning we went was something like a 2000's throwback playlist and it totally added to the experience. We'll be back! read more

I booked hair and make up for my maternity photo shoot. I had no experience with any blow out services, but have had some recent experience with individual make up artists. I was more than happy with my experience. Adriana did a great job on my make up and gave me the perfect natural look with my very minimal and vague description. Brianna then worked her magic on my hair, bringing soft curls to life. My hair typically doesn't hold much of a curl- Brianna specifically asked me about this when she was getting ready to style, along with giving me tips on how to preserve and maximize the curls to make sure they were perfect for my photo shoot. My curls not only last eat magically through the pictures but looked fantastic through the next day. Will definitely be back for my next event, and would highly recommend both stylists! read more

Perfect for those of us with consistently busy schedules! I came on a Tuesday and it was a quick in and out. Everyone I encountered were all really friendly and I'm hoping this business continues to keep friendly faces on because there's nothing more offputting than walking in feeling unwelcomed. My stylist was a gentleman that I can't remember the name off (sorry!), who upon seating me asked what kind of style I wanted. I told him I didn't want anything over the top and my biggest concern was receiving too much hairspray because I didn't want to deal with a tangled mess in the morning. My 4 Stars are for the overall experience and the fact that my curls held with very minimal hairspray for 3 days! My lack of 5 stars is for the hair washing experience. Everyone loves a good hair wash when done right but this gentleman's touch was a little too rough for me and the water was either too hot or really cold and he never asked how the temperature was for me. The hair washing could definitely use improvement and I really hope that this is just an experience thing that will get better with time. Another thing I'd like to add is while I liked my hair I didn't LOVE it because it's not really what I wanted coming in and given then occasion that I got my hair done for. What we had agreed on was a beach wave style but what I got felt more like a Hollywood glam curl. My hair looked great but it felt like "too much" for a simple night out. Edited to add a reply to the comment below: Unfortunately for you my call log shows all calls between us and all were outgoing, none incoming from you. The salon called me once asking to move my appointment in the morning, there was no mention of moving only one. Also, there were many charges going on and off my card but 2 $50 charges remain, not 1. If the woman on the phone were a little more polite it would have gone a long way. Her saying she would discuss the charges with whomever meant that she didn't intend to stick to the written policy. I made an appointment for 12pm and scheduled other appointments around it for my daughter and myself for a special event. I got a call the day of the appointment asking if I could come nearly an hour later. I said I wasn't sure and would try to move an appointment. After a few calls I was able to move one of the appointments a little later so my daughter and I went to have our nails done with the extra time. I called the salon several times through the hour to confirm times etc. (see attached photos) And let them know I could come later. I called one more time as we're on our way because the nail appointment put us slightly over and I wanted to let them know we would be a few minutes later only to be told now they couldn't accommodate us. I was marked as a no show and my credit card was charged to the tune of $290 for 2 blow outs (see attached photos). Most of those charges were cancelled but $100 remained. I called the salon asking about the charges and was told that I was being charged the full price of the services because I was a no show to which I replied that their written online policy is $25 per appointment and I was NOT a no show I was told not to come when I was already on my way. I would have swallowed the $50 charge but the woman on the phone was so rude and said she would discuss it, with whom I have no idea because it wasn't with me. After trying to talk it through with her she said she would discuss it (again) and hung up on me. I won't dispute the $50 even though I shouldn't have to pay it but I won't pay double their written policy, a prompt call was made to my credit card company. Very unprofessional people! read more
