It did seem like she was some type of manager, the way she was working trying to get something done and not giving customer service. I work in customer service as a store manager, that type of customer service will scare away customers, and is a huge No no for me. I would rather go to the store with less shoes. The only person that greeted and gave great customer service was the cashier.

The selection here is definitely smaller but because there are fewer people you probably have a higher chance of seeing something good. I found some surprisingly good electronics (pictured). At the Pomona place I would never have seen this stuff because it'd be gone in seconds. One weird thing about this store is their "deals" section which is the stuff on the shelves. It's mostly big box items but they're all more expensive than new on Amazon so I don't see how that can be a deal. Some of it is totally beat up used crap like an old ass lawnmower with grass still in it selling for $100 when on Amazon it's $85 new. And you'll see a bedsheet set in the regular bins, and then something similar on the shelf for $40. Makes no sense so I just ignore the shelf items.

I'm really disappointed to have to share this review. I decided to try out Railcar for their denim hemming service. I had a simple request: take off 1 inch from a brand new pair of $300 jeans. Unfortunately, they made a serious mistake and ended up taking over 2 inches off, rendering the jeans completely unwearable. I even made sure to take a before photo to document the original length, and after the hemming, I took another photo clearly showing the excess 2 inches that were removed. I promptly sent them the photos, and they agreed to take the jeans back to fix the error. However, instead of admitting fault, they only restored 1 cm of fabric and then proceeded to deny any wrongdoing. I provided them with undeniable photographic evidence, yet when the manager eventually called me, she was aggressive, dismissive, and refused to acknowledge the photos as proof. It was incredibly frustrating to be told that I was only offering "hearsay" despite presenting clear visual evidence. The manager's refusal to own up to the mistake and her insistence that they did nothing wrong left me feeling helpless and out of $300 due to the now ridiculously short jeans. It's really disheartening because Railcar is a small independent business that offers unique services. FWIW the person named Jenna I initially spoke with was understanding and tried to assist. However, the behavior of the manager was beyond disappointing. Her rudeness and refusal to address the situation appropriately has left me with a bitter experience. I caution anyone considering their denim hemming service to steer clear. read more

I wanted a denim vest (old school) with leather trim/accents and found something off the rack. Fits perfectly, the first size he grabbed. Super happy with it, service was great and they have a ton of jackets and vests in stock, also tees, belts etc. Walk into biker history from the 1970s. It's truly a hoot he's still there and quite the character. Top quality handmade garments are a thing of the past - not here! Made in the USA with love. Expensive! But well worth the investment.

I was greeted by Jack, who was very courteous and helpful. I gave him the low-down on what I was looking for and he immediately found a couple of pieces for me that not only would work just fine for the "mafia" theme (I went the modern, sharp gangster look), but would work on other occasions as well. The slim-fit, three-piece I picked out fit almost perfectly, but Jack did some measurements and said he would be able to alter everything for me so that it was a nice, custom fit. The store had a nice selection of shirts and shoes, so I picked those up as well. The suit and all the other items, plus alterations, came out to a very reasonable price. They offer blazers, tuxes, coats, and other fashion-forward items in different colors that will make me want to come back for sure. Definitely recommend this place!

I've had this leather jacket for almost ten years, but in the past two three years, it's gotten a bit too tight. To be fair, I got it during the era of the shrunken leather jacket, iykyk. I brought it to Puac. They told me that they don't have the fabric for it, and gave me direction to this fabric store downtown. I thought, well, I'm in this for the plot, and went where they told me. This let me know that Puac knows exactly what to look for. The fabric store was great, and when I told them who sent me, they gave me a 15% discount off the leather. When I brought the leather in, there was a week and a half turn around. They measured it out, and gave me an idea of how it would fit. I would say that you do pay for the quality of their work. It cost me about a hundred dollars for the tailoring alone, which I thought was absolutely worth it. The leather was $68. This is a jacket that I will continue to wear for a very very long time. I know that this tailor shop can do generally alterations, but I would trust them with more complex alterations and trickier fabrics to work with.
