This place is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away amongst the train tracks and commercial buildings is this awesome little spot to grab a drink and some tasty food. The building is a nice wooden structure with ample parking and an outdoor seating area. Once inside, the beautiful wood theme continues holding a few tables and some bar seating. On the night that we went, there were about six Railhead beers on tap with one non-Railhead cider available as well. The beers were a good assortment including a Kolsch, IPA, Sour, etc. I had a flight of 4 and they were all good. On the food side, we had a personal pizza and a soft pretzel, but they also offer a cheese plate, candied bacon and more. The pizza was absolutely the best that I've had anywhere in the area and the pretzel was delicious as well. The pretzels are made fresh each day (so when they run out, they run out for the day). Watching the pizza cooking in the wood fired oven, with a nice cold beer in my hand was a truly beautiful thing. I should mention that they have 10 different pizzas on the menu, plus a special of the day which means that they had a bigger selection of pizzas than beers and that was just fine with us. Again, everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful and the prices were fair. What more could you ask for? read more

We finally got to try it. We wanted to check it out a few times, but with limited hours, we could never get there. But, we did finally. We walked in and quickly greeted. You order at the bar and then take your drinks and table number and they bring your food to you..there is seating inside or outside. We opted for outside on a nice night.,we ordered the cheese platter, margherita pizza, and the chicken arugula. The cheese platter was fine with cheese, crackers and grapes. Wish there was maybe some meat or fig spread to compliment it. Our pizzas came out piping hot and were good. We were Offered see spices and grated cheese if we wanted. I had a cider to drink that was refreshing and my husband liked his beer too. All was good. We would stop back when in the area. read more

We went on Saturday and we are never disappointed. YUM! We did a tasting and had the pretzel. Truthfully we haven't been out since the pandemic but we sat outside and it was nice and spread out. Awesome pizza! We had the garlic and the bacon chicken ranch. Both were really good. We also got the cheese plate which had several different kinds of cheeses, crackers and grapes. All the beer is home brewed and they sell growlers so you can take the deliciousness home. I had the rail head cream ale and the industrial brew. Both were good, although the industrial brew had a somewhat citrus taste. My wife had the black bird cider. We got 2 growlers of that to take home, so suffice to say, she enjoyed it. read more

Had a great rainy day Sunday visit to Railhead. Sunday has been added to their regular days open. No pizza served that day, but the pulled pork sliders were great along with sides of coleslaw and great homemade baked beans. Ahh, and yes the beers~Great job all the way around. I initially drove out here from the Rochester area to see one of my favorite local bands (Tough Old Bird) perform here. What a surprise when we ordered a couple of pizzas. They were some of the best pizzas we've ever had. Highly recommend the MVP (meat lovers) or the Chicken Bacon Ranch. The atmosphere is good though the dining area is small and a little bit cramped. The first time I came I wasn't up for any alcohol and they didn't have ginger ale. I had to settle for Sprite from a can which was a little off-putting. Since then I've tried some of their own craft beers and they were delicious. I'll be looking for almost any reason to head down to Hornell in the future to get some pizza and beer here! read more

Came here from Rochester with my beer passport. I never would have come to Hornell otherwise, so I'm glad my passport enticed me! This place is a real gem. The four beers I tasted each had a surprising depth of flavor. I was surprised and delighted by each. And the pizzas are really tasty as well. This a nice new little brewery tucked away in a corner of Hornell. The bar tender/ part owner was very knowledgeable, laid back and nice. They had flights with their own craft beers and from other craft breweries. We talked to Andria and Ryan for awhile about travel and breweries. They were super friendly and provided really great service. The prices were great too. This is the best date spot in town as far as my wife and I are concerned. The beer is great, food is awesome but the atmosphere is what sets it apart from the other places in town. If you are looking for your typical sports bar this is not it, but if you want good food and a relaxed atmosphere this is your place. read more

What a great find! We met friends here on Friday night last weekend. Got a flight (4 beers,) tried the IPA and stouts, and brick-oven pizzas. We had the Chicken Bacon Ranch, which I would order again. Also, tried some of the Chicken & Arugula pizza that had a balsamic glaze. Delicious. Live music that night was incredible! Ahren Henby Trio played some classic and newer pop songs in an acoustic setting (I am a sucker for the violin.) Wish the brewery had more room in the dining room. We had six people and it was cumbersome to not only find room, but then we had to move a few tables together. We had such a good experience overall, the dining room size was the only minor issue. Didn't get a chance to try out the outdoor seating. Nice service at the bar. They also have flat screens for the sports-fanatics and those who don't mind commercials in the background. Great pizza, great beer selection. Friendly staff. So good they need to add on to give breathing room. Great bands BUT!! They need to regulate band volumes or you want to leave quickly in this quaint small setting. Oh and yes very sketchy floor transition on your way to the restroom if your not careful you and your spine might regret it.
