We stopped in just for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. We ordered a large size of the Loaded Fries and added brisket to it. It was enormous. Our server, Ella, was very friendly, checked on us often, and warned us that the large was a 40oz platter of fries (just two adults and a toddler, so the concern was valid). For $20 it was a very generous portion. And the brisket was an extra $9 and definitely the way to go. This would be a good place to watch a game, plenty of TVs, some outdoor seating, and our food came out really quickly.

Typical rustic BBQ house inside. Service was good. The Beer was VERY cold to the point it had ice floating in the frozen mug! The baked potato was old and barely warm. The chopped brisket the served with the potato, was very finely chopped and was terribly dry. Needed lots of sauce to make it edible. The Fish tacos were tasty but placed on a cold tortilla and the fish itself was barely warm. The cowboy bean bowl was just ok and again, barely warm with chunks of dry brisket on it that needed sauce to help it along. I also tried the smoked jalapeño margarita and while the heat was there, the mix they use was some kind of cheap, watered down, bottom shelf junk. There is much better BBQ and food in Texas.

We stopped in here on a whim after another local barbecue place was sold out of most of their items. Wasn't sure that we could expect much since the reviews here were not great, but we really enjoyed our trip. The prices were reasonable. The portions were huge. We really enjoyed being able to sit down at a table and order and be waited on. The turkey, okra and the coleslaw was my favorite out of my platter. This ribs and potato salad were his. We still left with a massive to go box and a seriously full belly. Plenty of folks enjoying the patio and the bar so there really is whatever vibe you're looking for for the day here.

The driest brisket I've had In a very long time.

Stopped in to get lunch to go. I've lived in the area for almost 7 years and never stopped in. The cashier suggests the special. Half chicken with 2 sides and drink. I also wanted 1/4 pound of sliced beef. That half a chicken was so juicy and seasoned well. The sides are typical canned fast food sides. That brisket was heartbreaking. It was close to jerky. The driest, brownest piece of brisket I've seen in a long time. It literally crumbles when you pick it up. I'll stick to the chicken. It was excellent! No pics of the chicken as I inhaled it.

$16 for a burger and then a $4 window tip to show gratitude and I get this! WTF is this?? It's like a kids cheese burger. I knew I should have gone to Whataburger or Daynes BBQ. What a joke this place is feel sorry for the old people who don't know any better.

I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant. The place was pretty full when I showed up. It was very cozy inside good country vibe but unfortunately, I had to chopped brisket sandwich, mashed potatoes, and pinto beans. The sandwich was a little cold and too greasy for me. Maybe it's just me. I'm sure they have a lot of other great things on the menu to try. Service was good waitress was excellent and bubbly.

The pork belly was really good as well, prefer the beef burnt ends personally but really good nonetheless. We had the chance to visit it yesterday for a Friday afternoon lunch They were moderately full, but the service was reasonably quick, with the staff being pleasant and helpful. Unlike most barbecue joints, their menu is totally à la carte. While they do run special meats or dishes for a month or so, they do not have a daily special on the menu. There are no 2 or 3 meat plate specials in other words. We ordered 1/2 pound of the turkey, a "Beefy Texan" sausage along with a side of the "Frito pie beans" The turkey was very tasty and moist. It's amazing what happens to Turkey when you cook it in a pound of butter. The sausage was good, not dry not too spicy. Good. With the beans, it was kind of hard to tell just how good they are. This was a serving of pinto beans, topped with shredded cheese and then topped with chili cheese Fritos and jalapeños with creamers. It kind of works. It was very tasty. It was also kind of a surprise as I was not told about the chili cheese part. We also got some brisket to try and again it was very good exactly what you would expect for a good barbecue place in Texas. It was well smoked, it had a delicious bark And was very tender Overall, we found Dayne's to be to be a good BBq restaurant. As a plus it was easy to get to. While we would probably go back if we were in the neighborhood, this would not be one of my favorite places.

Anyway... A friend and I stopped in just a few minutes after they opened mid-week and were very disappointed. That an the fact that the young lady we followed in the door was on her first day as a server EVER didn't help. The bbq that we were served look as though it had been pulled out of the refrigerator and put in the steam table just minutes before we ordered. Both of our plates of food were cold and the meat was an unappetizing gray color. My friend's order was screwed up, probably because the new girl had zero idea of what her duties were or what the menu combinations were made up of. We heard her introduce herself to the cashier as the new server and she was turned our way to take the order with no idea of what she was doing, no idea of what was on the menu, etc. Flavor was unimpressive and honestly I was so put off by the whole situation that I didn't even make a stink. I just paid and left the plate of food. I know this place gets some decent reviews and maybe our visit was an anomoly, but I won't be giving them a second chance. 3/18/2016 - Received the comment below from the owner who gave a bit of an explanation as to why things may have gone awry at the time of my visit. I'm happy to see the owner will be more involved and pleased that he has taken the time to drop me a note. If he is willing to reach out to me, then I feel that I can do the same and I will give TBS another shot if I find myself out that way.
