The store is chock full of STUFF for children and women in junior through plus sizes; then there's the jewelry, shoes, bags, and other accessories. The selection is rather overwhelming. This is a place where I'd have to come in knowing what I'm looking for in advance. I think Rainbow markets itself toward young women & teenagers. Interestingly, this store is very narrow & very deep. It felt like I walked a city block to reach the back of the store. Prices are cheap cheap cheap; the entire back of the store is $3 to $5 & I would wager that nothing in here is over $25. However, the merchandise is pretty uninspiring. It basically runs from basic to trendy. Nothing formal or suitable for the office. The shoes & handbags are pretty tacky, and the quality of clothing construction runs from subpar to average. I had to leave because the hip-hop/pop mix was making me a little insane. Other than that, it was very calm. If you know you want a certain type of tank top or something, Rainbow's a good pocket-friendly bet. Otherwise, nothing special.

Artistry is manifest in both modern and antique Persian rugs and while the current political situation in Iran has attenuated some art, if you are discriminating and go with weavers for whom this art has been passed down for 4 or 5 centuries (particularly single-knotting) Persian carpets remain the pinnacle of hand-woven artwork that you can put to daily use. My wife and I both like hand-woven tapestries, e.g., we have a Two Grey Hills (Navaho) weaving on a wall. Curious, due to what Woven Treasures has on display in their front windows, we decided to go in to see what they might have in a runner. As a rule of thumb, I favor the colors and designs of carpets from Tabriz and Qum, and were very direct, specifying the dimensions and provenance (Tabriz, if possible) of what we were looking for, and Parviz, after selecting several Tabriz runners from a surprisingly large stock, provided a wealth of detail on each. We zeroed in on a stunning instance of what we had wanted and bought it. As it took a bit of time to prepare the carpet for transport, Parviz walked us through some of what he had and it dawned on me that he was more docent than merchant. The runner was a perfect fit for the corridor it was intended for, both artistically/aesthetically and dimensionally. Sadly, the third dimension had been neglected; a closet door that opens onto the corridor had a rather "tight" fit with the hardwood flooring. I had fallen hard for it, but its footprint limited its placement elsewhere in our flat. Reality coerced me into returning the runner, so while sad, I took its return as an opportunity to upgrade an area rug (Azerbaijan) we had in our home for more than 30 years. Again guided by Parviz, we did so with a rug woven in Isfahan that we're very happy with. We have a piece of art, which is a good value at any price.

It is very close and really has a spread of necessary helpful items for a post delivery mother/wife/yourself, whichever the case may be. They have pumps and extras of all the equipment. Maternity and feeding bras. Tons of helpful nursing items such as the "breast friend" and shields. One of the things that makes this place great is the lady who works there, Sue. She is always helpful and knowledgeable about whatever you're looking for now matter how dumb your questions are. They also accept FSA cards. Why do I know all of this you ask???? Because I had to go a dozen times in the first two weeks after the baby so that my wife wouldn't have to leave the house - yeah, I'm that guy.
