Even the "organic" section didn't inspire confidence and looked questionable at best. Noticeably better quality for organic at similar or lower prices at Aldi or Lidl. The worst part was the raspberries: every single one of the four containers I bought had mold growing in the bottom layers. That's not a minor quality issue - that's outright unacceptable for produce being sold for consumption. At that price point, it would have been more cost-effective to buy fewer, higher-quality containers at Whole Foods rather than four unusable ones Overall, the produce quality is extremely poor and freshness seems like an afterthought. I regret buying from here again, and I won't be making that mistake in the future.

Since moving to Roxborough over 29 years ago, I have been shopping at Stanley's Hardware. I have…read morenever had a negative experience with their customer service. Last week they went above and beyond, clearly deserving of media mention. Last summer I purchased a Weber Grill. I immediately had an issue with the casters not working. I called Ernie who dispatched his crew to retrieve the grill and try to fix it. It was missing many screws and one of the casters had fallen off. The crew brought back the grill, supposedly fixed but I have had difficulty with the same casters since last year. They will lock in place, and not stay unlocked thus making it almost impossible to move my grill. Finally, last week one of the casters just broke off entirely. This was two days before my July Fourth cookout. I called Ernie back and he immediately remembered me and dispatched another crew to assess the situation . When the crew arrived, they realized they would again have to take the grill back to the shop. A few hours later I got a call from Mike asking me if I wanted to have the repair done by Weber under the warranty or if I wanted them to try to put on new casters. I told them to put on universal casters because I did not want the same casters from Weber. A few hours later I got a call from Mike telling me the repair was complete and could they drop off the grill. I said sure and how much did I owe them. I was then informed I didn't owe them anything. I cannot thank them enough. I especially want to shout out Ernie, Mike and the owners , Mark and Alex Jaconski who run an exceptional business.

Stanley's is the classic small business the neighborhood wants to keep in place for their needs big and small. I've been blessed that I haven't had too many emergencies in my house but knowing a Stanley's run can be done quick sets my mind at ease. The best I can do to support them is to continue to visit in those non-emergency moments like when I need a key made or a small piece of hardware.

The KOP J Crew is also one of a select few to carry wedding and bridal dresses in store. Typically, due to high demand, this store requires you to book about a month in advance, but my gal pals and I lucked out and were able to join a group wedding event with less than 7 days notice. We showed up right on time and were seen immediately by Theresa. She had the three dresses we were interested in - Arabelle, Nadia, and Heidi - pulled and ready for us in two separate fitting rooms. My girlfriends are uber slender, sizes 0 and 2, and were able to try on each of the dresses in the correct size (WAY impressive). They even had some petite sizes (recommended for ladies 5'-2" and under). Theresa also pulled two dresses in the colors we were interested in - making the choice between misty rose and bright coral even easier. Word to the wise - the misty rose is really pretty, but may be too light to flatter most skin tones. After less than 30 minutes, we were able to make a decision and order the dresses. We were told it would be a 4-6 day lead time, with free returns up until the wedding to boot! Unfortunately the ordering process wasn't as easy as the fitting. My two bridesmaids filled out separate order forms, but their dress sizes were mixed up. They received a small discount for the inconvenience, but it's up to them to return the dresses to their local store, or pay to return them via snail mail. Even with the mixup I'd highly recommend scheduling an appointment - just be sure to double check the order confirmation forms.

UNIQLO as a whole will charge slightly more than you might expect, but you're getting the quality stuff, especially when it comes to their special fabric lines.
