This place gives me a panic attack! Everyone is crammed in. Cars are on top of each other and the inside job is mediocre at best. Very rushed job, you still need to get in there and give it a wipe and my car isn't that dirty. The worst part is the complete disregard for the community the way they leave allll that garbage in the parking lot. They just throw the garbage out of each car into the floor. 1 star. I went here for a normal car wash and when I got home I realized my front license plate that was in my trunk was gone. The trunk was only opened while they were servicing the car. Plates don't just magically disappear. Now I have to deal with filing a stolen plate report and going to the DMV to get new plates because of something that happened while my car was in their possession. That's a huge violation of trust. When you give a business your keys, you expect your property to be left alone. If you come here, remove everything from your car and check your belongings before you leave. In the area here, this is absolutely the best Car Wash. The Syossett car wash is decent but after the car is through the wash, maybe they spend three or four minutes doing the inside. At rainbow they take their time and they do it thoroughly. Also, the store itself is nice, they have a nice comfortable leather couch and they even sell Coca-Cola in a bottle, yes, a bottle! This car wash is also a little less expensive than others but delivers more in terms of the quality of the wash. My recommendation is to tip nicely after they give you your car back If you are satisfied; they work very hard here and I'm sure most of the people are immigrants and they can sure use the money for food and living costs so if you have it, be generous. read more

To all the negative reviewers, I genuinely want to know where else you're getting your car washed in this area that's as thorough as Rainbow is, at as competitive of a price. I've tried several other car wash options in the area and none do as good a job as Rainbow, and virtually all of them cost the same if not more. I came here on a Monday morning and this place was packed as usual. I opted for their interior and exterior package which includes getting the windows properly cleaned inside and out, which my car was in desperate need of. $29 plus tips for my two hard working attendants later, my car was sparkling. I did have to wait a bit to be able to pull my car out of their driveway while the ones surrounding me were still getting serviced, but luckily I wasn't in a rush. My biggest tip for anyone coming here is to make sure you're giving these guys ample time to work their magic. Rainbow Car Wash in Hicksville is always busy, hard to get in an out of on a busy Old Country Road. I order a decent choice to do the much needed cleaning of the car. I give a good tip to the 3 people who worked on it. Seems the workers though nice enough people, do not speak English to communicate. As I'd had a garden box with sharp edges I asked the girl to place it in the front - where it had been taken out of from the floor. She put it on the leather seat. The chairs fold up and down. Yes there was much to clean with air hose and vacuum. She left a different seat up and when I went home to place it down , it was like sweeping it under the rug. as there was dirt and hair on the floor. Then I had a choice, bring it back or clean it myself of which the later I did. I was not particularly happy. Despite living about 20 minutes away from here this is the only car wash I will go to on Long Island. It's not so much about how clean they get the outside of the car but how thoroughly they clean the inside of the car. It does take quite some time for them to finish with the interior but I always leave feeling like I just got my car detailed. It's around $30 for a wash and honestly worth every penny. I Paid almost 30 dollars with tax for a car wash w sealant wax. I watched the car go thru the car wash and saw no signs for sealant wax light up. It was washed and went thru a rinse. I spoke to the manager and i explained the situation and he said the sealant wax went thru the rinse. In the car wash world i told him he was full of it and i will not go there ever again. The reason I'm leaving this review is because , during my wash it started to rain! Right when they were finished (ironically ). I called back after I left and the receptionist, was very nice and said come bask when the rain stops and will do the outside and inside again . They paid $150 for their oil change and then they received the coupons, just to come back today for them to be denied by the car wash. Been here over 20 times and each time.. the front desk woman (who is I think the owners daughter) just exudes how miserable she is.. at least she is still respectful. I had an appointment in this area and passed this car wash and saw how many employees were cleaning cars after the wash. I figured I would try it. I got the VIP wash which was $41 with tax. The man who took care of it at the end spent about 30 minutes drying, spraying rims, cleaning spots missed and cleaning the inside. I was very impressed how my car looked especially the inside. This was my first time at Rainbow. I had looked online and it seemed they had a lot of positive reviews so I thought I would give them a try. I purchased a Luxury car wash. The men in the front before the car goes in were very nice. The lady at the register was nice too. My car came out of the wash looking great, clean and shiny. Then a young lady dried the car, shined the wheels and cleaned the interior. As I was waiting I noticed how very many people they have cleaning the cars, which suggested to me that they are successful. Then when the young lady was done cleaning/drying my car, I got into it and I was so happy with how perfectly clean it was. And she dried it thoroughly too. This is usually my go-to carwash. I have always loved them since they opened. The staff is always pleasant, they do a great and thourough job, and I love that they extend courtesy to first responders. However today and my previous visit were far from the norm. I felt very rushed and the job was frankly half-done. Today the entire bottom and middle of my windshield are left near filthy. Very disappointing. :( and I had a similar experience on my most recent prior visit. I hope they aren't going to start to get comfortable and - update 1/16/19 - down to two stars from three. Very disappointed. This is my second bad experience in a row. My back windshield appears even dirtiwr than when I went in. I guess maybe it was "dried" with a dirty towel? And two of my windows still have bird poop on them. The only reason I went to thw car wash. I have never seen a car wash not even be able to remove that before. My mirrors are all spotty. Very disappointing experience. It may be time to search for a new go-to car wash. read more

Okay, so I'm definitely never coming here again. I brought my car in to get detailed, which they boldly advertise as soon as you pull in. The guy who was working the ticketing system told me that they'd do some touch ups on the paint if I bring in a bottle of touch up, which i did, and i handed it to the people inside at the counter and they just looked completely confused. In fact, even when I went to the register and they saw i was getting my car detailed, they seemed really confused. Obviously they "offer detailing" but they dont reallyy offer detailing. I paid $150+ tax for basically a $50 worth Ultimate car wash. Gave them all of my info and they told me they'd call me when it was ready. Almost 5 hours later, i called them and asked about the status and they said "Yeah, you can come pick it up now". I went back to pick it up and saw it in the same spot it was in when it ran through the car wash and it didnt look any better than just their regular $50 car wash. They also didnt do any touch ups with the paint pen i left them and then started to do them on the spot, pretty badly actually. My main issue is that I wouldnt have minded paying $50 for an Ultimate Car wash if thats what i was getting. They basically stole $100 from me for a bs "detailing job". So definitely now going to do business with them again, which is sad because I used to come here all the time. read more
