My first time patient experience was very unpleasant and stressful!! The doctor was very unprofessional/rude over the phone and during my consultation, asking very personal questions regarding my accident (PTSD) very inconsiderate of her. I was also very dissatisfied with my wait time and massage. The doctor did not properly adjust my back/hips. I started getting weekly treatments here during my third trimester . My prenatal massages were given by Claudia. I can't tell you how much she helped me during those grueling last week's of pregnancy! I was in so much pain, I had horrible leg and shoulder cramps before I started treatments. Claudia really knows her stuff, I didn't even need to tell her where the pain was, she just knew exactly where to work by studying the tension in my body. Had a hour deep tissue massage that was followed by an adjustment from Dr. Chau. The massage, by Daisy, was great. She was really professional and was very enthusiastic about trying to get out all the knots. Dr. Chau got my body to crack in places I didn't know it could crack :) The atmosphere of the office was very warm and inviting as was the staff. I'm definitely coming back again. I decided yesterday that I wanted a massage so I checked around on Yelp to see what was near me. Happy to find that this place was halfway between home and work and had great reviews. I called yesterday evening and was surprised to be offered an appointment the next day (today). When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted warmly by both employees at the front desk. The office is spotless and nicely decorated with orchids and fountains and relaxing music playing. I had scheduled the reflexology massage only since I have never had a chiropractic adjustment and was somewhat skeptical. I was called back immediately by Wendy, my massage therapist. Wendy was friendly and the massage was very relaxing. I was impressed to hear she has worked here for 9 years. She clearly loves her profession and spoke so highly of Dr. Chau and the entire practice, I decided I wanted to schedule an adjustment. Luckily there was time in the schedule for me to get in after my massage. Dr. Chau was genuine and caring and I felt at ease right away. She wasn't rushed and answered my questions at length. The adjustment was no big deal and left me feeling great. I don't know why I was so apprehensive but I know this won't be my last visit. I have been here 3 times for a one hour massage and I can not recommend it enough. The place was suggested to me by multiple people so I called and was lucky to get a same day appt. My last two visits Ive had Juan and man, has he been a blessing. Chronic shoulder and arm pain is practically non-existent now. My hips and back feel amazing. Working out 5 days a week takes a toll on the body and Juan has helped me so much over the past few weeks. The past week the left side of my neck and shoulder blade was irritating me. My wifey decided to do a couples massage and made an appointment here. It was $200 for the both of us. I have to say it was $200 well spent. At first I thought it was just a massage. I was surprised when we met Dr. Chau. She was amazing. They also charge you if you cancel even if it's an emergency they dont care. TLDR: A 50 minute massage was included along with my adjustment in my chiropractic treatment and it was covered by my insurance (Anthem Blue Cross). The massage was amazing and the adjustment was great! Highly recommend. I recently moved to Riverside, and have been in dire need of getting an adjustment. I'm a competitive cheerleader (tumbling, stunting, strenuous stretching, etc.), and due to this I have constant severe upper, middle, and lower back pain as well as neck pain and headaches. I've been struggling to find a good chiropractor in the area that accepts Anthem Blue Cross. Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Chau, and I was pleasantly surprised. Despite all the great ratings, I was still worried it wouldn't fit my needs. Since I'm a new patient, I had to fill out a couple of forms through their Ipad system. The whole process was very quick, and after taking my vitals Dr. Chau and I were officially introduced, and had a quick conversation regarding my pain levels. After checking my flexibility, she informed me that my insurance would cover a 50 minute massage prior to the adjustment. I was VERY happy to hear this, as I've always wanted to have weekly massages in addition to adjustments, but couldn't since I've never found a masseuse that accepted my insurance. I believe my massage therapist was Liz (I'm not too sure what her name was, but I will check again next week when I return). The massage itself was great, and really worked out a number of knots throughout my body. While she mainly focused on my back and neck, she made sure to get my legs and arms as well. It was probably the best, and most pain relieving massage I've ever had. Afterwards Dr. Chau gave me a great adjustment. Overall, I was very pleased with my entire experience. She was very gentle and informative. She made me feel relaxed when she did the cupping and alignment of my back. As an add on to my prior review. I just received a threatening letter from Dr Chau. It was dated May 8, postmarked May 10 received May 11 with a threat of legal action May 13. In the letter she claims she has been waiting 5 years for payment. As you can see by her response to my prior post I only treated with her for 3 years. During that time I personally paid for all massages even though A lien was signed stating her agreement to wait for payment until the case was settled. Certainly she knows these sometimes take a while. The case finally settled last month so it is impossible for her to have been waiting even 3 years for payment, let alone 5 years. It sure didn't take long for the harassment and threats to start...including phone calls. This after referrals from both me and my attorney. Yes the treatment was good. Especially the massage therapists. But there is a lot to be said for professional business practices. read more
