I called NJ Home Maintenance and scheduled an appointment for an appointment. A few short days later they arrived at the house for the estimate. They dropped off a few samples along with an explanation sheet explaining the benefits of each. I was rather surprised by the price which I consider to be more than fair. I hired them on the spot and could not be more pleased. The work performed, punctuality and communication were all without parallel. The original estimate was simple and they are very quick to schedule you and give you an estimated time frame (weather dependent). Overall, they did a great job. I will say, they are a bit on the pricey side compared to other companies in the area. We had gotten an estimate for some powerwashing/roof cleaning and their quote came in the highest so we unfortunately didn't use them for that service. However, they do a fantastic job. I'm sure the quality of their work is there. We just didn't to spend so much money at the time. They also take credit cards which is a plus!

When I wouldn't budge, they tried to sell their other products -- moquitoes, ticks, laundry vents. When they did the work, they left an awful mess of sticks and some leaves all around the perimeter of my house. I called mulltiple; you never get the same representative twice. After speaking to several people, the manager argued with me when I insisted they clean up the debris, stating they don't do landscaping. I was asking them to clean up the mess that they had made. My yard had been clean beforehand. After many calls, they came and cleaned it up. The fellow in charge of the crew was very nice, unlike the office staff. They do send a text to say they are coming -- "in a few minutes or an hour," very specific. After 2.25 hours of waiting for the third visit, I called and got the typical "some jobs take longer," and that I didn't need to be there. No? And responsible companies call if they are running late, but I was told that the crew has no way of contacting the client. Obviously, they should change the text to "we will be there sometime today." Ned's Gutter Cleaning is a terrible company to deal with.

Deegan offered roofing/shingle replacement for $9,000, which included removing flashing. When job…read morewas done, they told me and I handed a check to the work manager. Within a month, a carpenter was on the new roof repairing wooden shingles. He noted no flashing had been added to the roof line, which could result in serious damage to house structure. We asked Deegan to come back only after several requests and proof of pictures from the carpenter. They replaced the flashing. On worker stated to us "This should have been done right the first time." In addition, roofers left debris throughout flower gardens and destroyed one front bush in a row of bushes through debris tossing. Deegan acknowledged, paid some money, but bush in this line can not be replaced and negatively affects front facade at time of house sale.
