The technician attempted to reuse a towel that had already been used on another customer during my sister's pedicure service. This was witnessed and confirmed by another customer in the salon. Only after being confronted did the technician stop disputing the matter and obtain a clean towel. The owner's attempt to minimize this conduct raises serious concerns regarding sanitation practices within the salon and whether similar incidents may have occurred previously without customers' knowledge. Equally concerning was the technician's conduct following the incident. While she attempted to adjust the water temperature after my sister notified the technician that the water was unbearably hot, she never apologized, or demonstrated any concern for my sister's comfort. Instead, she began scooping water from the pedicure basin with a bowl while my sister sat there visibly uncomfortable and distressed. At that point, my sister no longer felt safe or comfortable continuing the service because she had lost confidence in the technician's judgment, professionalism, and hygiene practices. What is most disappointing is the owner's response afterward. Rather than addressing the matter with empathy or accountability, the response came across as passive aggressive, dismissive, and condescending. A timer was set to ensure that I received the message for the correct amount of time and the same was done for the callus remover, paraffin and hot stone treatment. This response is disappointing, not because of disagreement, but because of its flawed logic. A customer raising a concern about an interaction is not an act of hostility, nor does it constitute slander. I left my comment on this platform with the expectation that, as a business owner, you would first reflect on the appropriateness of the staff's response. A simple acknowledgment or clarification would have been sufficient, and I would have been willing to try your services. When a business is open to the public, a respectful exchange between staff and customers should be the starting point. We arrived around 5:55 PM, and my husband's pedicure was finished by about 6:20 PM. I did use the restroom before my service, but that took 1.5 minutes? Meanwhile, his entire service--including the sea salt scrub, cuticle care, and callus removal--was completed before my cuticles had even been touched. My pedicure wasn't finished until just before 7:00 PM. It felt like the services weren't paced well, especially considering we came in together to celebrate a special occasion. I don't mind if one service takes a little longer than the other since I clearly had polish but a 40 minute difference for the same package felt unreasonable for the price we paid. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers who come in together. Before I get into the negative, I have to give my pedicurist 5/5 stars. She was amazing--she took her time, paid attention to every detail, and really took great care of my feet. I absolutely loved the service she provided. She didn't really speak to me because she could tell I was frustrated at the miscommunication and was also told by the front desk to call next time if I want a particular tech. I was contacted by the salon to try to make things better, which I appreciate, however it shouldn't have come to this in the first place. Needless to say, here we are 5/20 and I have not gone back. My nails are still so brittle that you can visible see where the nail was filed down vs the new growth. The nail on my left pinky is lifting so I have to be extra careful with it.
