Overpriced for the quality you get. Brought my own deco nail stickers and 3D stickers and still end up being charged as if I didn't bring my own supplies. Yukari did my nails. She shaped the gel tips well, but when she started applying the gel, that's when everything went wrong. The shapes started to become uneven, surfaces of the top coat became roads filled with potholes, and massive leftover gels on my skin! I didn't catch these details until a few days later, which was too late since I was already overseas for my vacation. I didn't have time to message her until I got back, and explained that I was on vacation, which I told her that I will be going on vacation shortly after that appointment at the salon. Her respond and I quote:" I am sorry to hear that but it already passed 2weeks if you tell us immediately we could do fix( like top coat or shaping one more time ) . I saw your nail pic you brought your own 3D stuff ( hand made ) if you put a lot of stuff like that it very hard to put apply top gel and even everything . Please understand." 1. She knew that I was going off for vacation, maybe that's why she rushed through everything thinking that I couldn't get in touch with her. 2. Complete BS! Top coat shouldn't peel off that easily even with 3D nail decos. I have had my nails done multiple times in the past and never had an issue. Will not be returning to this salon ever again. I hate to give small business bad reviews however I feel the need to warn future customers. While Yuki is great at what she does, she runs her place with a I don't need your business attitude. I had to reschedule my appointment the second time (with a week's notice) and it was clear that Yuki was not happy. She responded with a link to make the appointment online (vs. text) and placing a deposit via Venmo. If I cancelled or reschedule at the last minute, then Yuki has every right to be upset. However, I gave her well advanced notice. Don't go to Japan Beauty Plus unless you can commit to your appointment 100% of the time. There are hundreds of nail salons in DB that are more accommodating and flexible! read more

I've been coming here for almost a year. Before this place, I was driving 45 miles away to get my nails done every 3 weeks and I really wanted to find a place closer to home. I did not realize that the gel they use is extremely damaging to your nails. This week I went in to get my gel removed, I want my nails to take a break. I was shocked to learn that I had to pay $20 for the gel removal but I had already driven for nearly 2 hours so I agreed to pay it. Their gel removal process involves using their hand drill to literally sand the gel from your nails, they do not use the soak off product. I asked for a manicure after the gel removal. I don't like nail polish, I just like my nails buffed. As Masumi went to buff my nails, she quickly learned that my nails could not be buffed because she left some gel on my nails. Masumi attempted to buff and only a tiny portion of my nail was shiny. She cautioned that if she removed all of the gel, my nails would be very, very thin. She suggested that I put nail polish on, but I did not want nail polish. So I left with dull nails that were very uneven. As I went to get in my car, I immediately noticed that all of my nails hurt. Even the light grip of the steering wheel caused me some discomfort. When I got home, I cut my nails down super short to help alleviate the discomfort. I'm still experiencing discomfort in my everyday tasks like writing and typing. If something hits my nails, I feel discomfort. I will not get this type of gel anymore due to the damage that is caused to my natural nails. Over the last few months, I no longer felt like the quality was there. When I would come in for a new set, I noticed the gel from the previous set was never removed completely (now I know why) and sometimes there would still be color on my nails. I noticed they feel comfortable in covering up leftover elements from your previous nails. My nails would not be completely flat, I'd notice lots of small lumps and bubbles in the final products. I used to go to Nail Factory in Torrance and my nail tech The prices are pretty expensive. You are charged $10 to remove your gel. A simple one color gel application is like $50. If you want any designs, you will get charged. One time I got a french tip and added a silver line under the white. Each line was $1. The french tip was very expensive. The quality is very good. My nails have never lifted or anything like that. One time I wore my nails for 5 weeks with no issue. They can replicate designs if you'd It's very easy to book an appointment, I usually make appointments a couple days in advance with no problem. They do good work, I just wish the gel wasn't so damaging to natural nails. read more

Chie is amazing! I'm so beyond impressed with how she did my nails, like seriously, this woman can make any of your kawaii nail design dreams happen. I've come in twice already with a month in between. My nails stayed completely in tacked - no chipping, no breaking, no bending - and I do a lot with my hands. At regular nail salons, I'd be lucky if it lasted past a week, but it's really just because I use my hands a lot. I was really impressed with the quality of the gel and how fast she was when making each individual design. I was expecting to sit there for a couple hours but was out in just a little over an hour. Prices are also more affordable here than at other salons that do kawaii nail service. Be sure to make an appointment in advance! They do get filled up, but I've been pretty lucky thus far. And don't worry if you come in not knowing what design you want - they'll give you an ipad with hundreds of design options that you can choose from. Disclaimer: I don't know anything about make up. I got eyelash extensions for the first time before my France trip since I had planned to take engagement photos. I heard you don't need eye liner with most extensions, and I didn't want to attempt to butcher my eye liner for the photoshoot since I didn't hire a makeup artist in France. Yukari was amazing to work with, and I was recommended by a good friend of mine. I made my appointment through email, and she was extremely responsive. This place was really difficult for me to find, but if you're circling around in that large plaza, you're in the wrong location. The salon is actually accessed from the small street, and it almost looks like an office building. Yukari did upsell me when I got there--I wanted the $99 lashes and had emailed her about them already, but she suggested the $150 when I was at the salon. I wanted really natural ones, and my main concern was comfort. I did NOT want to feel like I was wearing fake lashes if they were going to be on me 24/7 so clearly I was sold on the $150. Because I arrived a bit late, and Yukari had an appointment immediately after, I felt she rushed a bit installing my lashes. In about 30 minutes, she was done with both eyes. I barely felt a thing when she put them on, and I barely felt any different leaving the salon. Except I had much longer and fuller lashes than I had walking in, and they looked extremely natural and were light as a feather. These were so natural even my coworkers and friends had to ask if they were fake or real. During the same appointment, I also got gel nails done with the Taiwanese girl. She was very detailed, but she made me bleed a few times using that automatic cuticle remover. She got way too close to my flesh, and I have really thin skin on my hands due to using steroid creams on my eczema. She said that's never happened to her before, but I'm probably not going to get my nails done there again. Also it's pricey AF for the same quality elsewhere. I would give 2 stars for the nails and 5 for the lashes. Yukari did give me the 10% new customer discount. Overall, there are a few things I wish would have been different: feeling rushed and maybe not bleeding? Also, I'm not sure how the $99 lashes would have been different from the $150 ones, but I'd probably opt for the $99 ones next time and see how that goes. I'd definitely recommend Yukari for lash extensions. She's extremely skilled and knows exactly what she's doing. read more

Absolutely loved this place. I can't wait to go back. The technicians were very meticulous and detail oriented. My nails lasted slightly over two weeks which is longer than most gel places I've been to. My besties last about 3-4 weeks. They are on the pricier side but the quality of the gel is hard to beat. I got a simple nude design and my bestie went all out. We each had different technicians but both were talented with their nail shape/designs. These are the little things I notice and appreciate after trying so many other nail salons. The filing and shaping of my natural nails and how they evened each out perfectly to one another is something I notice when I say "details". I'd definitely recommend this place to other people. You need to make an appointment though. Their Diamond Bar location is small and can only accommodate so many people. There is parking on the street and in a lot near by.
