I also really like the color she helped me choose. The salon was a little busy, so I waited a few minutes, but not long at all. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and really listened to what I wanted. It was the best thing I have ever done. This place was referred by a friend that has been with one of their beauty technician Coco, who also works at their other location in Alhambra. I am pretty picky when it comes to facial service because most places would leave me scars or redness during extraction and just doesn't seem fit to my skin type. So I was very happy to found this place. None the less with Coco. She was very patience and detail oriented. She make sure everything is alright before moving forward. She also does this very unique Chinese "gua Sha" (scraping lightly on the shoulder back and towards the head) method as part of their detox facial. It was always very relaxing. The whole facial takes about 1.5- 2 hours, and cost $100. I think it is very reasonable with some level of shoulder massage and full facial treatment. I also highly recommend their microblading service. I've also gone through this service with Coco. And as an Asian, I do think she understands a lot of Asian feature and was able to recommend a good brow shape for me. Both my mother in law and sister in law have done microblading somewhere else, only mind have last the longest in color and in shape. I have short brow and love long eye liners. So this save me a lot of time in the morning. And she even make sure I was my face normally and applied the antibiotics cream for three days to avoid inflammation. I am definitely continues to be a regular here. Tip: it's upstairs above of Hecca if you can't locate it from entering the plaza.

I got my nails done for my proposal. I wanted a pink nude gel acrylics. I've never gotten my nails…read moredone professionally. I didn't know how sensitive my nails would be during and after the appointment. I've watched videos of acrylics though. I had Sunny do my gel acrylics. Sunny was nice and very chatty. Sunny only used the drill to file my cuticles. He didn't use a cuticle pusher at all, just kept changing the sanding band bits. He used the cuticle clippers after and cut me on a few nails, didn't apologize or acknowledge me bleeding. He wiped my bleeding thumb off with a dirty towel. The fumes for the primer and powder was super strong! I had to breathe through my mouth. The door wasn't open and no fans were on. My nose burned when I breathed through it, that's how strong the fumes were! I showed him the picture of color nails I wanted twice. When it came to picking the color, he said he had the perfect color. I tried chiming in that the color pink was too light for me. However, he didn't hear me and started applying the color he chose. It was too late to be angry, disappointed or annoyed about the color. The session was about 80 minutes. My acrylic gel nails cost $45 but I tipped and paid $60. I don't know how clean the place is, the nail grinder was put away like normal and the towel was still on the table afterwards. I don't know if I'd do this again, the experience was shocking to my nails and me. The nails are pretty but not what I wanted.

This time instead of calling in I used the online appointment system. I clicked the techs I wanted and it was confirmed on the screen I would be serviced by them. I also added an appt for my husband a few days before my appt online and got online confirmation that we would be serviced at the same time. Day of the appt I got a text saying my tech would be late. I said that's fine and I would send my husband in to keep his earlier appt. They then told me that the online system was incorrect. We got to the salon and while my husband was getting his service, I was told my tech was booked and I would be with someone else. I told them I got online confirmation of the tech id be with, they said it was wrong. This is where it all went downhill. I don't even remember the girl's name but I was ensured she would do a good job. I don't get mani/pedi often so I was looking forward to this. She used an efile on my nails and, like a few other comments, filed my nails so thin that a couple broke in their parking lot. She didn't really speak to me because she could tell I was frustrated at the miscommunication and was also told by the front desk to call next time if I want a particular tech. This option shouldn't be available online if it doesn't work. My nails started to burn that when she finished cleaning my cuticles I cancelled the rest of the appointment. I was contacted by the salon to try to make things better, which I appreciate, however it shouldn't have come to this in the first place. Needless to say, here we are 5/20 and I have not gone back. My nails are still so brittle that you can visible see where the nail was filed down vs the new growth. The nail on my left pinky is lifting so I have to be extra careful with it. I really thought I found my new shop because it's much closer. My old nail spot has been servicing me for 20+ years so looks like I'll be making the trip back there.
