I purchased a car for my son and we've had several things done at this place. For the most part with no issues until recently. We paid to have them do the brakes front and back 10 months ago, today my son was driving and of the brake calibers literally fell off because it was never tightened down correctly to begin with destroying the inside of his rim. I told him to call them since they are right down the street and maybe they would do the right thing and stop by and see if they can get it fixed, considering we have giving them thousands in repairs and modifications and he was told sure but we're gonna charge you all over again, so even though they didn't do the job right the first time they actually have the stones to ask for more money. I took my Toyota Highlander to this shop last week. The woman that was in the office, aside from not being able to stand up and was swaying, was literally drinking a bottle of beer right in front of me. She said her name was like Martina or Mardeena? I really couldn't understand her thru her mumbling slurred speech. She was extremely unhelpful. She said she couldn't deal with me and she called her boss (?) in the office to help me. He was just as RUDE as she was drunk. He said that he doesn't deal with nigga's who disrespect his woman and told me I needed to leave. I told him I come there to get my truck worked on, and the young man with the beard was always extremely courteous and helpful and could always answer my questions, no matter how weird they sounded. The woman kept yelling thru the door that was behind the desk. She sounded like she was fighting a monkey back there. There was alot of noise coming from behind that door. She was calling me the gorilla from Manilla. She also said I shouldn't be allowed out of prison during the day because I am too black to be allowed in public. She screamed something about me selling drugs and killing people. She was definitely off her rocker. Mind you, this was about noon. The Man would not tell me his name. He looked like he has just done a line of coke off the floor. He has white powder under his nose and grease on his face. And he smelled like he brushed his teeth with Jack Daniels. She kept screaming something about a mat. I don't know if she was saying his name, MATT, or she was laying on a mat. I really couldn't make it out. But WOW, she was loud! So, the man told me again to leave his business. I told him I would and I will call his boss, although I have no idea who that could be. But then I remembered how most women complain. On the computer. Seems like more people read about places before they go. Generally, I would not complain about a company, but this is more about those people. The company is amazing! The young guys that work there are always nice and help me. I am not sure what their problem was, but maybe the company should take a look at their management. IF that is what they were. She was still screaming when I left, after coming in there for years, and always being happy with my service, these people seemed to be continuing a party they started a week ago. I don't know much about cars; U called to ask questions and was yelled at by the guy on the phone who then brought multiple other men in on the joke because I thought I could get work done today on my off day. I would give this place zero stars if I could!!! I Went there for a evap code and which point the mechanic Austin told me it was the evap canister, I asked him when it could be fixed and he told me to wait so he can call to see when he could get part in needless to say while he called I text myself the part number he was calling for. He gave me a quote for 670 dollars .... Which I assumed was decent cause the evap canister is about $575! Well it turns out the part he ordered for my car was NOT the CANISTER!! But the evap detection pump which is $150!!! The next morning I called Mathew and explained situation and told him the part was being delivered today and it's a shame that his employees are robbing from people and I would not be coming back. Mathew then told me if I get the part he would install it for free and that Austin was fired! Well I got the part, Austin was back working there, and when I returned to get my car Mathew charged me $107 dollars (for the diagnosis!!!) but he told me if the check engine light came back on he would return my diagnostic fee!!! Needless to say the light came on within 2 days!! I took my car elsewhere!!! So people BEWARE!!! That was definitely shady business!! Charging me almost $700 for a part he was never gonna change and I actually purchased the detection pump for $40 bucks!!! read more

Horrible experience with a horrible shop. Austin is the so-called muffler man over there that runs the place with Rosemary in the office. These people are all from YOUR PLUMBER, a plumbing company's ex employees. So I took my wife's car in for a check engine light and they told me my catalytic converter's were bad after waiting since seven in the morning till three in the afternoon and I was only the second person there they put on the new parts, also saying that were allegedly factory which turned out to be Amazon parts because he added the part number to the invoice. After leaving the shop the vehicle broke down within 1 mile the check engine light came on and I had it towed to my mechanic because by that point RAINBOW MUGFLER WAS CLOSED. Mechanic looked at it and said what have I done here because the parts don't even go for that car and the welds also were horrible so even if it wanted to work it wouldn't. I then proceeded to contact them and to my disbelief they didn't want to help or do anything for me but hang up the phone. I then have to dispute it with my bank and after the bank spoke to them I was issued a refund fully due to their lies and horrible business practices. Stay away from this place!! read more

Horrible. $375 repair turned into &1000 after returning 3 times for a simple exhaust repair. Then my ac went out. They said someone replaced my condenser which I never authorized. I paid a 2nd shop $1245 today for the ac repair and oil pan repair that was jn welded. I think both were damaged by rainbow. On the third visit, The police came to escort out another dissatisfied customer who also was burned by this shady shop. He wanted a refund and got trespassed. Pulled in on a Thursday late in the afternoon needing a hanger bracket for my tail pipe, which had broken, I did a temp fix with a coat hanger wire ( yes, I'm very mechanical...NOT ). Paul, the service manager said that his muffler man had gone home for the day, so if I could come back on another day they'd have it fixed in no time. So I said I'd return Saturday. On Saturday I returned, had a wait of maybe 10 min. They brought the car into the bay and had it fixed in another 10 minutes! When he told me that it was all finished, I asked "how much do I owe"? His answer was "have a good day" again I said no really how much? His reply was something we never seem to hear anymore....NO CHARGE!!! He said just keep us in mind when you need a repair. Well, that I will certainly do! In this day in age of over charging for repairs, it was very refreshing to have this great experience. It kind of renews my faith in my fellow man. I was so happy and satisfied with this place. On our trip to Largo Florida are Tire got a nail in it and it had a flat tire. I changed it took it off and threw it in the back of my wife's Grandma's car drove it up the Rainbow Muffler set there for maybe two three minutes until they were really busy talk to the gentleman up there and I told him what happened he took my tire and he went back he's like yeah I'll give him a boys to plug it he went back took me out plugged it wrote it out and said have a good day and I said wait a minute let me let me how much has it and he said don't worry about it we're good you have a safe trip back. When I arrived it was about 10 minutes before closing on a Friday, the Manager Kap was very professional, hospitable and a all around nice person. He processed my vehicle so he could get it in first thing in the morning. The next day he gave me a call at 9 a.m. allowing me to know that he had already taken a look at it and told me how much it would cost me, and let me say the price was so fair and reasonable. My magnaflow exhaust system was ruined by these people I had it done a few months back I was pulling out of my driveway when I kept hearing creaks I am now a mechanic so I put it on our lift & looked at it the welds are shit the guy added his own hanger which should've been only using the OEM hangers he had no consent to drill into my cars body & he used 1 hanger on my muffler which lead to the crack I told my family & friends to stay away from here the welds looked like some kid playing with an arc machine truly disappointed after spending so much money on this to be done the "right" Way read more

Worst experience ever in Florida! I was recommended by the advanced auto down the street to get an oooo change cause they would use my pieces that I bought. WeLl not only did they not usE the oil I bought and the filter I bought but they blew my engine because they used too thick of oil! They proceeded to take my motor apart because one of the mechanics said ThAt something Had fallen in the motor when they were taking it aparrt so the motor was making a thumpinG sound. After taking my car apart to fInd said piece. They apparently found nothing an no damage from them. But apparently there was damage from the oil that I was puttinG in..... not only did he kNow they had blown my engine But they didn't even change my oil and still ttalked me into paying for a bunch of other piece that they didn't evEn replace. Now I am out $1200 with no vehicle! And he tried to buy my truck from me for $200 I finally got the car towed to my house and found the motor in pieces in the bed of my truck. Don't let the outside exterior of the building put you off, these guys do a consistent business for many reasons, but chiefly because they do really good work, they work quickly and they charge a very reasonable rate for their work. Midas up the street, (also very good) is required by corporate policy to not do repairs. A total replacement is required and that would have meant about $1350.00 on a 19 year old car. (Midas was even pleasant about it when a customer in their office recommended I use Rainbow.) Next day I stopped by Rainbow and they replaced just the needed parts for $128.50. Saved 90% and my car doesn't purr like a cat anymore. That's hard to beat. They smile and then get to work. They open at 8:00 am and they are first come first served. We explained our issue to them, and even though they were extremely busy they made sure we weren't in danger if we decided to just keep using the car. It turned out to be a minor issue which they fixed in a matter of 20 minutes (got the part necessary from another place and replaced it). All this in a friendly, highly efficient manner. Worst shop ever outright lied to me!!!!!!!! Thieves I called on the phone trying to find an inexpensive oil change for my son, you know the ones you see advertised for 19.99. So I called down and asked what the cheapest oil change they had was. at first he said 24.99, and I told him I was looking for the cheapest possible for my son as he is a student and doesn't really have any money. So he said I do have something a little cheaper I can doo for 22.00 I say great and he tells me to send him down. So I give him 40.00 bucks because of course he is on empty too. So about 45 minutes later he comes back and throws 8 bucks on the table and said he was charged 32 for the oil change. I said what he just told me 22 he said yeah that is what they told him to and then after it was already done he said it was 32 after the shop fee. I asked him flat out how much it was before I sent him there he never once mentioned a shop fee until after it was done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called to express my concern and I was told they are a reputable shop and that is just how it is I should of known they would charge me a shop fee and when I asked why he didn't just tell me it was 32.oo for an oil change and I would of went somewhere else I was told that is not there problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We stopped by unscheduled before lunch and were given a time estimate of one hour for the Toyota Camry as there were others in front of us. I took my 2003 Honda to Rainbow and was told I needed a complete replacement of my exhaust system for a cost of $1300 plus tax. I then drove to another repair shop and was told that although rusty my exhaust system was fine with the exception of a small leak. The cost to replace that small piece of pipe-$115.00. I brought my Toyota Tundra here to have a new exhaust put on it. A month later I had to have my truck towed to a mechanic shook because my brakes went out on the interstate. You wouldn't think that has anything to do with a muffler shop, however after a look under the truck the mechanic told me that my break line was left touching the exhaust and it melted to the point where my entire break fluid leaked out all at once. So now I'm having to pay almost $500 to fix something that wouldn't be need to be fixed otherwise. I don't even need to list all of the reason why this is not okay. My child was in the car with me when it happened and it was very scary especially considering I was on the highway and not just a regular road. I would highly recommend reconsidering bringing your vehicle here. My mechanic said that there's no way if someone (manager, supervisor, owner, etc.) looked over or inspected this work that they wouldn't have seen that. It's very disappointing and needless to say I won't be going back here or recommending this place to anyone. read more
