    ANC

I've been here twice. I first got gel nails, which were nice, for a week- until they quickly peeled off. Which obviously was disappointing, I didn't bother going back to get them fixed. I decided to give them another chance and went back for ANC with tips. They came out very nice and 3 weeks later still look great. The person who came with me got a pedicure, which they really enjoyed. There's not a lot, really any places around here with great reviews so just wanted to say although the salon may not be the most modern looking, the staff is friendly and do nice work.

Got a regular manicure - love the color!

These reviews are so hit or miss - I wonder if it's the nail tech you get. Mine was great, she was really sweet and I gave her a good tip. However, I didn't like how busy it was and I feel like because they're so busy, you get lost in the shuffle. They'll leave you alone for a while. Forget what nail polish you chose. That's not great - but they probably just need more staff. First time going here and I would probably come back if I were in a pinch.

Excellent job and fast. Jenny did my nails, and they came out just the way I wanted them. I've gone to other places that charge $20-$30 more and don't do a job as good as this. Highly recommend!!

This place gets a big fat ZERO. The nail tech rushed through my nails and they came out horrible. When I seen how bad they were coming out and I asked to take them off the tech assured me that she would fix them but they can out horrible.

    Freddy Krueger got me.

If you get "Johnny", do yourself a favor and ask for someone else; he was so rough with my cuticles to the point that one would not stop bleeding and a huge chunk of skin is now missing (see picture). On a prior visit, "Lily" rushed through it that I felt like I was inconveniencing her. I was happy to try someone else, but "Johnny", aka Freddy Krueger, did a number on me. Make an appointment with "Kiki" if you decide to go. She did my manicure once and didn't hack me to death. One positive is a mani/pedi is only $35, but you get what you pay for. If you want to pay a little more for a better mani/pedi, go see Toni at Salon 109.

Today I went to rainbow with my mother to get a pedicure. I typically receive a decent pedicure but today's was so poorly done I needed to share it. The woman who did my pedicure rushed through, cut my nails too short, and just did a sloppy job all around. She didn't even put lotion on my feet after removing them from the water. She got clear nail polish all over my toes. I am very displeased to say the least. This will be my last time going to Rainbow. I shared my concerns with the woman at the front desk and she replied "sorry." This photos were taken as soon as I got in my car.

Thick uneven "duck" nails as I call them.

I've never had a worse experience. I only went here because I was in a wedding and at a crunch for time. My normal nail salon was slammed and couldn't get me in so I decided to give rainbow a try (use to go here in the past) I was quickly reminded why I stopped going there. The girl who did my anc nails was rude and aggressive. My nails were a disgusting mess. Any thing I asked for she said that's 5 more dollars. They were thick, shaped unevenly, and my nails under were splitting from the anc. I ended up texting my normal nail lady( US nails on western) who took me as an emergency right after the rehearsal dinner for the wedding the next day. Only reason it's getting 1 Star is because I can't get any less.

Sandy is great, it took us a little time to get into a rhythym because my nails are super sensitive so I can't have the ANC (get dip) taken off my nails in the usual way, but she listened and now gives me exactly what i need. Calling to make an appointment can be a little disconcerting because they don't take your name or phone number, however, I have never had an issue with my appointment being forgotten or mixed up. Big parking lot that gets plowed well in winter, so parking is always easy. I was most impressed, however, when I tore my ACL and suddenly found myself on crutches as well as blood thinners yet needed to get my nails done for an event...Sandy was so good about making sure that I didn't slip or fall with my injury. She took extra care of me for weeks to ensure I could move safely from the pedicure chair to the nail station, and even made adjustments to ensure that no accidental nicks happened, due to my heightened blood clot risk. I felt cared for, understood and seen, and I couldn't be more grateful. I highly recommend this nail salon.

I recently moved to the area and went to Nail 7 to get gel powder (ANC). When I arrived, I had get…read morepowder on my nails from 2 weeks prior, when I had my nails done at my former salon in a different city. The nail tech here started using the electric nail filer (nail drill) on my nails to get the polish off, but I explained that my nails are super sensitive to the heat that comes off those machines, so I prefer to have my nails wrapped in tin foil and nail polish remover to get the polish off. She said that the electric filer, was the only way to get the polish off, that there was no other way to do it, to which I explained, "I undersand it's your preference to use the nail drill because it's faster, but it's not the only way. I've had my nails done with gel powder for nearly 5 years and you can wrap my nails in polish remover." She argued with me again and said there was no other way to do it. I decided to let her use the drill since I was already there and needed my nails done for an upcoming event and within minutes, was pulling my hand away in reaction to the heat--I explained again that I wished my nails weren't so sensitive to the heat, but that they are. She then spoke with her coworkers in a different language, and she insisted again that there was no other way, and I repeated myself that there was another option and didn't understand why they wouldn't just wrap my nails in polish remover. Stubborn and argumentative, I ended up leaving with a half done set of nails. Seems this salon doesn't understand the concept of supporting the customer's needs. I won't be back.

If I had to sum up my manicure in one word, it would be HARSH…read more I came in with gel and they used an old school bowl full of remover to soak it off, and it took a lots of soaking. As my hand would sit in the bowl, they had it covered with a dry washcloth. The manicurist were alternate between soaking up and scraping off the polish. As my hand sat in the bowl, the washcloth ended up getting soaked and they just covered my hand again and again with the wet washcloth. I told the technician ahead of time that my nails were very thin and she nodded as if she understood. As she removed the polish, she wore through a couple of my nails, where one tore at my fingertip. Course files were used the entire time, and the area around my nails, ended up being raw. There was no consistency in shaping the nails, I actually left worse off than when I came in. Polish was applied on thinly and unevenly, and required lots of cleanup along the way. Even with the cleanup, I still left with polish around my nails. There was one UV light on the shallow and cramped station, and as one hand would cure should be polishing the second hand on top of the UV light. The manicure seemed to take a long time and I could feel the tension in my back from the way I was sitting. The seat sloped downward and you had to adjust yourself to be sitting straight, coupled with my armed constantly being raised due to the height of the UV light. I left here knowing I had to fix the shape and remove the excess polish once I got home. Avoid this place.
