I paid $50 and was sent home with this full set with dip. This is after I asked her to redo two of the nails as the white wasn't a solid color and you could see my natural nail color coming through. I've literally never written a review in my life but the amount of money I paid for these with how poor a quality they turned out is insane. The nail tech was very friendly and personable. I don't normally leave poor reviews, but these nails did not turn out how I had hoped at all.. The plastic nail extension is showing and the gal never even trimmed my cuticles before starting my nails. When I asked about my cuticles and the plastic showing, I was told that "I had to ask for my cuticles to be trimmed and she would do it next time" and that "no one will be able to tell the plastic is showing under my nail." At the very least they could have given a discount, but instead charged me full price. read more

Got my nails done at this salon. I didn't realize how poorly of a job the owner did with the dip powder until I got home. There are a number of dents in every single finger nail. When I called to ask for them to fix the poorly done manicure they tried to charge me for the service. So I suggested they give me a full refund instead. At that point the owner Maria proceeded to argue with me about why she wouldn't give me my money back. Horrible experience and horrible customer service. Now I have to spend more money at a different salon to fix my nails because I refuse to give Rainbow Nails and Spa my business ever again. They don't deserve one star review read more

I decided to take my mom to get a pedi as a late Mother's Day gift while she's visiting for graduation :) I chose this salon as it had great reviews and wouldn't break the bank...so happy with my choice, I would go here again and again!! The pedi was perfect: expert grooming, great foot/calf massage, pretty polish. She tidied up my runner's feet and made them pretty and soft! Needless to say, that's a victory unto its own. Also, the massage chairs were a dream!! We joked about taking them with us. The owner and a young lady did our pedis, and they were both very friendly. We talked the entire time, all four of us! This place came highly recommended and I am so glad I went! I have never had a more relaxing pedicure (deluxe pedi). I called ahead because I'm used to long wait times at other salons I've been to in the area, but when I got there it was literally just me so I had 100% of Maria's attention. I had a previously had my nails done and felt like I got a sunburn on my fingertips and was afraid to try the gel she told me that was a chemical reaction and not an actual reaction to the light which I found very informative and to be true. Maria and her husband are super sweet. I was a walk-in for a shellac manicure and her husband started me right away, and then he transitioned me to Maria. She is super warm and friendly and I got to know quite a bit about her. Their music playing was great, and she told me that she specifically chooses relaxing music so that her clients feel relaxed and happy. She said that when they are happy with their nails, it makes her happy and is the reason she does what she does. Comparatively, Rainbow Nails has been the cheapest place in this part of town for a shellac manicure, which Maria and her husband perfected! Great color selection and very clean and nice environment. First time customers get the deluxe pedi for a classic price. I also was told they do first time facials for $35! The owner was so nice! The chairs and foot bowls are clean and in working order. Their polish selection isn't over the top but you could always bring your own favorite. My attendant today scrubbed, buffed and microplaned my callouses into submission. I left with relaxed, tingly, and lemon buffed toesys! The environment isnt over the top and fancy but I'd rather not pay for overhead if I can get a good scrubbin' and hot towels on my legs!! read more

New favorite place for pedicures! I got the deluxe pedicure. It was just so wonderful. I have been looking and looking but other places are too delicate with filing your heels, or don't trim the cuticles enough, or don't give a good scrub, or don't give a good massage. I have been coming to Rainbow nails for a couple of months now, and have left happy every single time. I always get the gel manicure and regular pedicure. First of all, the inside is fun and bright - bright pink walls with zebra print chairs, with some colorful flowers/plants scattered around. It is always very clean when I come in. Sometimes when I come in, they are listening to music - yesterday when I came in, they were watching Madagascar on the big TV. One of my favorite movies. Second, it is important to know that there are are only 3 employees that work here - a husband and a wife, and then another woman who does more of the clean up and preparation. I have somehow been very lucky and have gotten in almost immediately every time I have walked in, but I STRONGLY suggest calling first - they can only really help two to three people at a time. They have a lot of stations for doing nails and pedicures, so I asked the wife one time if they were looking to hire more. She said ideally, yes - but she doesn't want to hire on a lot of people just so they can take more clients, but have the quality sacrificed. The most important thing to her is that her clients leave happy with the services they have received. Now that is something I can get behind 100%. Third, it is very affordable and the finished product always turns out great. I used to go downtown to get my nails done, but found Rainbow was less expensive and they did a better job - so of course I switched salons! They spend a lot more time massaging and exfoliating your calves and feet for the pedicures - something I am a huge fan of (who wouldn't be?). I'm confident my toes and finger nails could make it through a zombie apocalypse after visiting this place. They have made me a client for the long haul. It's family ran business, and the staff is always so friendly and kind. read more

Terrible customer service. Owner is very rude. I will never be going here again and I would not recommend anyone to go here. I scheduled an appointment to get my nails done and when I asked for another coat of nail polish, Owner said he did not have time. My nails were very sloppy and done very rushed. When I told him they look bad, he took all my polish off without asking me, left the nail table, and let me sit there while he attended to other customers. When I asked if I should leave, the owner started yelling at me for no reason and told me he is refusing to service me. I do not know these people from a whole in the wall as I was just visiting Kansas City for a few weeks. They do not wear face masks or gloves, and male Owner is very discriminatory. read more

I live in Stilwell, so to drive 35 - 40 minutes to get a pedicure is a big deal to me. Tran is the best ever, bar none! I've been going now for a couple of years and he is so accommodating. Sometimes I make a reservation and sometimes I walk in. My feet are always rough from working in the garden and he won't let me leave until they are baby soft. Maria almost always picks the color out for me, which makes it fun! She coordinates with what I'm wearing, since I'm usually going out right afterwards.
