What a cool shop. I wandered in after my Costco visit and was awed by all the sustainable and healthy living products. I was immediately greeted upon entering. There's a sign asking customers to wash their hands - which is a fantastic way to keep the small store COVID free. Hand & Land has a refillable station for everything from laundry detergent to body wash. You can bring your own clear jar or choose one for purchase. Clothes, jewelry, hair care, cleaning supplies, brushes, oils, supplements, and more fill the shelves. They even carry several local makers' goods. The staff are welcoming and very knowledgeable. Will definitely return.

The shop is exquisite and knowledgeable. I do a little happy dance every time I pull into the parking lot. If you're into Ayurvedic health or just want a more conscious purchase, this is your spot. I've loved every event hosted by the team, every purchase I've bought from there has been top-notch, and they even delivered to locations east of Troost at the start of the pandemic. One thing I would recommend is taking advantage of their soap refills, which I think are relatively well priced given the quality of the product.

I love everything about this store, from the way it smells, to the products offered, to the emphasis on sustainability. The emphasis is on organic, natural products that promote health and healing, and local goods when possible. The store doesn't carry any products with the "toxic ten" in them (parabens, petroleum, phthalates, 1,4 dioxane, artificial musks, triclosan, coal tar derived colors, BHA & BHT, formaldehyde releasing agents, silicone chemicals, petroleum), so if you have a sensitive constitution, allergies/sensitivities, or endocrine issues, you're got a great selection to choose from. The store is warm and inviting, a treasure for the mindfully inclined. Products include skin care, bath & body, hair, home goods, accessories, pantry items, and some crystals/metaphysical items. Come check this place out- you'll feel better for doing so!

Wow!!! If you love little local organic products this is your place. We came in for a yelp event and it was so cute! The store front was very appealing and the products and staff were no different. I purchased some bees wax covers and some cruelty free lavender kitchen spray. I enjoyed seeing all the local products!!! Will for sure be back!

The storefront is only second to the great massage by Aggie. I am excited to try the other services available like acupuncture and sauna.

I was greeted with a glass of water with fresh fruit, my own sandals, and some questions about the service elements I would prefer. The whole set up was so professional! Upon being taken back for my appointment, I was delighted by how everything felt like I was in a five star, high end spa. The rooms were well appointed with the music of my choice and low lighting to set the relaxed mood. I had a body rub and massage with hot stones. Joe found the tense areas of my body and worked to relieve the huge knots in my shoulders. He was fantastic! After my appointment, each guest received a small snack of a beverage of your choice, a small pastry, and fresh fruit. This really put the visit over the top. It wasn't just an appointment, it was an experience. One of the best things?? I found their pricing to be very reasonable! For the for star feel and quality of the services, it's a great deal! I will absolutely be back. What a magical experience!

We were then introduced to our masseuse and led to the our room where we changed then we had a foot soak before returning to the massage room. Our massages were great, 90 mins flew by. Afterwards we were treated to fruit, banana bread and more fruit infused water. Our appointment was originally at 530 but then they moved us around a few times then finally settled at the 645 time. I enjoyed my time here but felt a little rushed at the end cause we were the last clients there before close. Anyway, all and all this is the best experience I have had at a spa and the prices are a lot more reasonable than others. I would go back!

However, it can get busy there and the hot tub chlorine does sting my eyes a bit. There is also a steam and dry sauna there (both men and women in there). Parking is also difficult to find close by with how many people go there now. The women's locker room was nice, but honestly I expected the showers to be nicer and more modern. We stopped by the cafe on the way out. I tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese had apples in it and had good flavor. However, the tomato soup just tasted like thick, sour, tomato paste. It was not creamy like typical tomato soup.

You're better off not signing up and just walking in. 2. Brining guests is a complete hassle and you're charged a non refundable fee of $25 if life changes happen and you don't come with a guest that day. On several occasions I was denied guests even tho it was well before the required 24hour application to request them. On multiple occasions my requests were completely ignored and went unreported to even if they were placed 72hours in advance. I was frequently traveling to KC for work and sports only to be hassled when my wife visited from LA stating that I reached my cap for local guest passes (mind you, she lives in California full time and would visit me about once or twice a month for a weekend) 3. Steam room in women's bathroom is utterly disgusting and wasn't cleaned since I was there over a several month period, how'd I know? The dirt streaks and giant clump of hair that just remained of the floor for over 6months 4. Coming from Los Angeles and the Heimat gym where I pay $350/month, I was excited to try this gym... but this gym is clearly nothing but a wanna-be elite gym. The best part of this place is the flavored water in the women's locker room- And maybe the pools in the summer but good luck finding parking 5. Looking to bring up an issue with the staff and escalate it? Don't worry, they're happy to ignore you. Trust me, you're not gonna miss this place. Only thing it's memorable for is being complicated while trying to use its perks and over complicated. The 2 stars are for the water and the equipment. The cleaning staff is super nice tho!

While it is not cheap, it's worth it. You get ushered back to the bathroom to change. You have your own locker that you can put all your stuff in and lock, so very secure. Very nice bathrobe and sandals to put on and then you go into a waiting room. Very calm and serene. A couple of different flavored waters to choose from and snacks if you're so inclined. Waited in there about 10 mins (you can bring your phone but come on people - you're here to relax. Put the flipping thing in the locker. You can disconnect for an hour). My masseuse came and collected me and ushered me to a nice quiet room. She listened to what I wanted her to do and left me to get under the sheets. The room was nice and warm and I was never cold. The massage was WONDERFUL. I needed a deep tissue and she delivered. Within 2 days my shoulder and neck were worlds better. After the massage they take you back to the bathroom. I super appreciate that there is a shower. The only downside of massage is having that oil all over you and getting dressed again. Loved the shower - very clean and great towels. Highly recommend and will return!

The ball rooms / conference rooms are stunning. The underground lap pool went above and beyond. The dining experiences - The Three Owls restaurant, an evening bar with food options, a morning café and a grab and go snack room - were all top notch. **One very creative addition to their lobby and in the spa for Valentine's Day - they had mini Valentine's Day stationery to send notes to whomever you please, and they'll mail it for you! What a thoughtful addition.** We loved our day at the spa (included in the overnight room!) The spa needs its own review, but just know that with any spa purchase, you have two hours in the Grotto - a collection of steam rooms, dry sauna, jacuzzi, cold plunge shower, essential oil sprays and infused cold cloths, sugar or salt scrubs, and more. With any spa service purchase, you also have access to The Sanctuary - their quiet waiting/relaxation room complete with hot tea, snacks, coconut water, coloring books with pencil sets , encouraging short reads, cozy blankets and more. I'm telling you - with a single spa service, you have enough here to make a whole day out of it! Our dinner at Three Owls was fabulous, but did have a few misses. Our server kept sniffing her nose (about 30 times during our evening), the added chicken breast to my salad was a bit small and DRY, and the baked Brie (delicious) came with excessively crunchy focaccia bread. Basically a giant crouton. Espresso creme brûlée, smoked Mac & Cheese, brisket, and kale salad were phenomenal!! Loved our day at the spa. I hope to be back!! Everyone was lovely!

The lobby is gorgeous and has that early 20th century arcade feel, when each nook felt like it held its own mysteries. The rest of the property is badly in need of a renovation. The pool is too small for the throngs of people using it. My hotel room was dirty and nasty. Tears on the furniture, stains on the carpet, linens and bedding that smelled. Actually shortened my stay as a result. Same with most of the other public spaces. They just haven't invested enough in upkeep over the years. Everything else was overpriced and underwhelming: the restaurant, room service, the spa, even the town itself. There's so much potential to build out a lovely walkable village around the hotel, but like with most such places in Missouri, the opportunity is squandered. It's another impoverished small town that time has forgotten. Bottom line, it has lasted this long because of reputation and because there's not really anything else like it in the area. But that doesn't make it good. If you're in the area, stop by and take a picture and get a coffee at the lobby coffee bar. Then be on your way.
