He spent 25 minutes on-site and only did light wiring on two outlets, but still charged $350 because "that's what was quoted." No materials used, just labor. He did give a $50 discount, but $350 for 25 minutes is the most I've ever paid for basic electrical work. When I pushed back, he said "Google placement is expensive." If you use this company, insist on a basic service call first. Don't agree to pricing until someone actually sees the problem.

Being 25 years old, the second I touched it, blade #5 snapped off so I had to run buy a new Hunter Fixture. With 12' ceilings I decided to have sparky install it and called to get a couple bids. SCOTT SAWYERS was the lowest responsible bidder, his man showed up the next business day as promised and did a fine job. He put on an extension chain and wired the fan to a separate switch so it had the on/off and with the chain, low, medium and high settings. He then wired the lighting kit through the other switches for control going in or out of the kitchen. Excellent job. He then noticed movement in a few switch plates as they had short screws into the J-box so he immediately swapped those for the right length. He then accidentally noticed the bald in a bathroom Fixture was loose so once again, he spent 2 minutes and fixed it correctly while he was standing there. What I am telling you about this firm is not that they did a job for $100 and not that they spent ten cents on 2 screws. Having been an Expert Witness for 30 years, I am telling you this is a firm of good morals and scruples who actually did things they did not have to do. You cannot find quality contractors like this so having taken an Oath of Office, I do not hesitate to recommend this firm. I found them to be reliable and trustworthy. The options started at about $1,000, with a second option around $2,000 and a top-tier option around $3,000. As I recall, the $3,000 proposal included replacing the toilet, while the first two were various levels of "repair." That seems like an awful lot of money for what turned out to be a bad wax ring damaged during a flooring install. I have since removed the toilet myself, replaced the wax ring, and everything is fine. No major repair was needed and certainly no $1,000-$3,000 solution. No wonder their address is on "profit dr." If this company isn't private equity-owned, they're sure doing a good impression of the private-equity playbook: upsell aggressively, present multiple expensive options, and turn a simple repair into a major sales opportunity. What a rip-off. Get a second opinion before agreeing to anything. Buyer beware.
