I called their Wichita store to inquire how many hi-cap mags came with a pistol I wanted to buy. The employee went to the warehouse to check and said it came with three mags and suggested I purchase it online the be delivered to their Auburn store before the hi-cap mag ban. I got the email saying to come to the store and fill out the paperwork and pick up the mags. I drove 74-miles round trip to the store and waited 20-minutes to get waited on and they tell me the pistol only comes with one mag! I told them the employee at the Wichita store said he checked and it came with 3-mags and they said sorry only one! So, I asked for a refund and left a negative review on their website which they erased right away I also had asked the Wichita store if I could purchase another pistol with hi-cap mags and have the mags sent to me and the pistol sent to the store, they said they couldn't do that but other bigger outfits have done that for me! They wanted me to pay over $50 for expedited shipping! Their customer service used to be better but not anymore! read more

They don't follow the law! Don't buy from them. A little of my experience. My rifle arrived there and I had to wait 5 day until they gave me a call and told me I can come and start the paper work. (That's ridiculous) I got there 30 minutes before the store opened. Got into the store 30 minutes after they opened. And then spent another 40 minutes getting paperwork done. Something that should take me 10-20mins I spent almost 2 hours doing. They only let 4 people at a time even though theres way more than just 4 workers. Here is a tip if any of them are reading this. Come up with a "grab a number" system so people don't have to wait in line in rain and cold outside of your store but actually can sit in their cars. Anyway that's not even the worst of it. Washington law say that for a rifle there's a mandatory hold for 10 days. After 10 days the FFL SHALL release the rifle to the buyer. They are not doing that. I messaged them they said it's still being processed (it's been over 16 days now). I called them the next day after doing some research asking if I come pick it up, the person on the phone told me no. He told me that it's 10 days only for lower receivers. Which is completely false. So not it's getting close to 20 days and they refuse to give me my rifle although I legally should be able to have it. I am not sure if I'm supposed to get my lawyer involved or what but it's ridiculous. It seems like none of their employees even know the law and do things based on what they think is right. EDUCATE YOUR EMPLOYEES. They are literally only good if you buy firearms online and send them to your own FFL. And even that I hear people say takes forever. DO NOT buy from them and save yourself some headache. There's plenty of better FFLs that actually follow the law. Since the time I signed the paperwork I was able to purchase and pick up 2 other firearms from Bullseyes Indoor Range. Use them. Give your business to them. They are a lot faster and know what they are doing unlike these clowns. read more

Rainier is the most unique gun store I've ever visited -- completely specialized on ARs and NFA items (suppressors, specifically). They're the cheapest FFL/SOT for NFA items -- $75 to buy from the Internet -- and obviously very familiar with the process. (they're expensive for regular FFL transfers, though -- I use other shops for non-NFA item transfers.) I think a lot of their business is mail order for both rifles and components for the AR platform; the store itself is beautiful (it's like the Apple Store of high-end black rifles), and well staffed. They do have a few other items (some handguns), but it's really an AR shop with a solid NFA component. If you're going to shop here and buy anything significant, join their APEX Club first -- discounts more than the price of membership. They do some great gunsmithing work (I'd never hesitate to bring them an AR, although I probably would't bring them a $120k antique side-by-side shotgun without asking first), and seem willing to help new AR buyers get the right rifle(s). read more

That was on the 12th of February. I write this on the 24th and I still haven't received my product. In fact, it wasn't shipped by Rainier until today with a delivery scheduled for Friday the 26th. That's a heck of a lot more than 3-day select delivery for a product they had on the shelf, supposedly. I'm editing this post. Received my order today on the 26th of February. I brought a rifle from Rainier Arms on line. The FFL that assisted with the transaction sent over all the necessary paperwork to them. When the rifle arrived, it did not come with the magazine. I live in California so high capacity magazines are restricted. They couldn't even send a 10 round magazine with the rifle? But I am an LEO and my FFL did sent over his high capacity magazine permit to Rainier Arms prior to the rifle being shipped. At the time of the purchase, this type of magazine (AR-10 style) were almost impossible to find. So we called Rainier Arms and they had HORRIBLE customer service. They blamed my FFL for forgetting to send over the high capacity magazine permit. Then they said theywould send the magazine but I would have to pay for the shipping! Are you kidding me!? The customer service representative was rude and failed to accept responsibility on their part. They messed up, sent me a gun I can't really use (other then manually loading a single round into the chamber) and made me to pay for the shipping. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I am an avid firearms shooter (for my job and as a hobby) and I would NEVER deal with Rainier Arms again. You lost a customer here. read more

I've never ordered from them before but I saw that they made a charging handle for Sig MCX. I reached out to ask if it would work with the Rattler, as nobody makes Rattler specific charging handles, even the ones listed for MCX. Rattler is different. They promptly replied and stated it would work. I decided to order it as well as a Radian safety for another gun. Customer service was great. Stopped in while vacationing in Seattle for my birthday. After no less then 5 minutes of handling both a VLTOR and Magpul stock side by side, I ended up purchasing the Magpul STR mil-spec stock. Price was just perfect. While they were getting it, the clerk asked if I was military or law enforcement, and if I had ID. I didn't think I'd be carded for a stock, but I provided the credentials he sought. Two minutes later he handed me a User name and Password, with a permanent discount to their online store, along with my new stock. Honestly, this place is as good as it gets for AR15 builders. Rainier Arms will hand over any data they have on you to the ATF, Feds, DOJ, etc. without hesitation so they can investigate legal purchases from citizens. They did this in New York, you can find the info online. They will give the authorities all of your information & purchase history. ANY OTHER REPUTABLE LOCAL GUN STORE WILL NOT & SHOULD NOT DO THIS. They have always cared more about profits than your 2A rights & they are too big of a company to value anything over profit anyways. This is not a small local shop like you think it is. They're in multiple states. The employees at Rainier Arms are also very standoff-ish & tight-lipped talking about any of the current events happening in our state anyways. Lastly, you will likely NOT get a firearm that you legally purchased while you're in your 10-day waiting period (as applicable) since this shop will immediately comply with the loosely-worded ban. Other shops are not operating this way. On top of that, they will charge you a 15% restocking fee. Go to Federal Way Discount Guns instead if you want to shop local. They are actually actively fighting to defend your 2A rights. Also, Fed Way Discount Guns will only charge a $50 restocking fee (much more reasonable). Do you know who won't charge you a restocking fee if you don't receive your firearm in time due to the ban? Buds Gun Shop online. They stated that you will get a full refund if you don't get your firearm before the ban. Stay away from Ranier Arms. They just want your money. Previously I had placed a few online orders, that were shipped to me but this was my first time in the store. This time, I had placed an order online, for in store pick up and had a second order from an outside vendor, which included items that had to go through an FFL. Of course this was during the mad rush, thanks to the WA State democrats, with their anti gun agenda, getting ever closer to passing their unconstitutional tripe, that would ban many common firearms, along with random parts and pieces, that these loons find scary. Anyhow, I came in toward the end of the day and there was still a decent line of customers, so I got to see quite a few interactions. I have to say, it was pretty impressive, considering they had been dealing with an endless stream of customers all day long, yet the guys working the counter were still pleasant as could be, while continuing to work quickly at getting customers out the door. I took it to my lgs (local gun shop) here in los angeles, CA. They installed the compensator for me. On range day my friend informed me the crush washer and the timing threads on my compensator were all installed wrong. I SAID WTF!!! I emailed rainier arms right away. I got an email response from Ari within 1 day. It wasn't a 2-2 sentence response saying the part was installed wrong and fix it. Instead, Ari went into detail and explained to me step by step on how and why the lgs f*cked up the installation. The email was about 2 paragraphs long and very elaborate. I wasn't expecting this caliber of customer service. Ari assured me everything was fixable and told me the only part I would need to buy now is another crush washer. Before this experience I had many other with rainier arms. I would email them with questions about the ar-15 only a rookie would ask. They happily returned ALL my emails. My friend has purchased their RUC rifle. I've personally inspected it and fired it. It's a great rifle. All the parts were high quality and the barrel was a CHF DD barrel *DROOL*. Their storefront mainly focuses on AR-15/AR-10 type rifles along with a few 1911 pistols. If you're looking for a new rifle or ways to make it tacticool, more than likely there are enough goodies in the store to do it. I've bought a Noveske upper, a bunch of Surefire weaponlights, tons of Magpul stuff, various optics, and even a Nighthawk Custom 1911 pistol from them. Customer service is good, very friendly atmosphere as well. I've bought probably 10K worth of stuff from them and never had a problem.
