I must first say that I really enjoy being able to walk into such a great place for the black gun. Now the reason for the low rating: I've order a few things over the net, and have also walked through the front door and purchased a little over a thousand dollars in parts. The human interaction is very lacking! My first trip was an adventure of walking around, I was looking to purchase an eotech to finish a close quarter black gun. I do mean walked around, standing in front of the glass case! Finally I had to engage one of the sales personal behind the counter. Time frame of 30 plus mins! Since this experience I've been in the store from November of last year to present date. It has always been the same! State Farm insurance has been my insurance company since 1984...hint. I wish I could do half stars (3.5)... My experience with Rainier Arms started out great in the beginning. However, when I initially placed my complete upper on layaway, I was told that they take the item off the shelf so they don't accidentally sell it. Come 3 weeks later when I'm ready to make my final payment, they sold the one I purchased to another customer and I had to way a couple hours for their armorers to create a new one from scratch. I forgot to mention, I had went there a few days prior and was told to come back in a few days because they were swamped with work. IMHO, their staff was very friendly. I like that they don't talk to you until you're ready to purchase. I got a free bumper sticker from them. I'd purchase from them again in the future, but I won't be placing anything on layaway anymore. read more

One of the rare Asian American owned firearm businesses we have in the PNW and I am glad Mr. Hwang has chosen to keep his business in our community. I've been coming to this place for years now. The first few visits, I didn't even own an AR. I had an HK91 and wanted to purchase a few common accessories for it. I spent about $1000 at Rainier Arms recently. They would not let me use their bathroom, the clerk missed that I wanted to join the Apex club, and they did not mention the current Sig Rebate that my purchase qualified for. I think it should not be too difficult to find a business that will provide a bathroom for its customers, or have staff to correctly sign customers up for their offered programs or be knowledgeable about the rebates available for their customers. Contacted customer support in regards to an order and I was told that my item/items was still I'm compliance with "THEIR" shipping standards I was treated pretty poor as a customer. I'm used to rude and inpatient customer service reps from most businesses such as this. I am not a needy customer and I'm always polite to customer service just because I'm a customer service rep myself. This business is fast, efficient, and honestly they have been the most responsive and kind customer service reps. These people get back to you so quick. I rarely write reviews ,but I'd be in the wrong not taking time to give credit where credit is do. The shipping was fast, it was extremely easy to order and organize the FFL . Went to TriggerCon in Tacoma this weekend. Was expecting the latest greatest at the show, but it seemed to me, of all the vendors that were there, only Rainier Arms was one of maybe 8 booths (Very few in comparison to how many total vendors were there.) that actually had some items to show of new items that came out, is coming out, and parts in stock of these items for us to order, or take home. Not only did they have the items in stock, but they gave discounted prices because of the event. I wasn't there at the show to buy anything. But was open to taking a look at anything anyone had that was either new and innovative, improved, or simply had something that was either unusual, or something that I found interesting. I ran into big Ben at the counter. From what I understand, he works out the back of the warehouse. But this kind, patient, and very knowledgeable guy helped me out. I must've asked to see 7 different things, and had at least double that many questions about the items he showed me. It was just about 3 seconds I was saying goodbye to him, when he asked for just 2 seconds of my time to show me something that he knew I would be interested in seeing. He showed me a very nice G19 Zev Glock, that was highly customized from the slide, to the magwell. Having already known very well what a G19 has to offer, I asked him what was so special about this pistol. He took the time to explain to me every detail of the upgrades that were done on it, and to even show me the special case it came with, to even offering me a deal package, if I were so interested. Again, I didn't plan on buying ANYthing, but conversely ended up spending $2K of my hard earned money. I feel Ben was a great representative of his company. His company should be proud to have employee's like him. I wish all gun salesmen were as knowledgable, professional, patient, and kind as he was. He's earned a lifetime customer in me. Because of him, I plan on visiting the shop as often as I can. I have serious hopes that management will pull him out from the back of the warehouse, and put him in the showroom where he belongs.
