POOR AND DISHONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE BUYERS BEWARE! BUYERS BEWARE! BUYERS BEWARE! After buying a "new, never-fired" over/under shotgun from these guys, when I received the "new, never-fired" over/under shotgun, I suspected the shotgun had been fired many times. The shotgun barrels were filthy with gunpowder residue, and the back of the receiver had the imprint of shotgun shells. In other words, it did not look new and unfired. So, I took the "new, never fired" over/under shotgun to my local gunsmith. The gunsmith confirmed that the over/under shotgun I had been sold as "new, never fired" had indeed been fired many, many times (more than 100 rounds through each barrel) and was not new. So, I contacted a "manager" at WGS Guns. The "manager" said he was shocked that the shotgun had been fired that many times. As compensation for selling me a "new, never fired" shotgun that was not new and unfired, he agreed to order 2 Beretta OptimaChoke HP +3/4" 12GA Beretta Choke Tubes and send the 2 choke tubes to me. That was in the first week of November 2025. It is now December 30, 2025, and guess what? I have not received the 2 Beretta OptimaChoke HP +3/4" 12GA Beretta Choke Tubes that the "manager" promised to send me. Again POOR AND DISHONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've done business with WGS a few times now. Purchased various firearms and parts from them. Both through FFL transfer after ordering from other online stores, and from their in store selection. I've never had a bad experience with them. The guys behind the counter have always been naturally friendly and fun, not just with me but with my wife as well. They are helpful and knowledgeable in what they do. I've been to a lot of gun shops and some of them tend to be vary snobby. By this I mean that they treat you as not worth their time if you can't rattle off every firearms fact known to man. Not at this shop. They are willing to kindly explain things to people new to the hobby. Refreshing. Don't be nervous coming here if you are a first timer. Their prices do tend to be a few bucks more than larger chain stores, but I'd rather spend a bit more with them and support a small local shop. read more

I've been here quite a few times. I like that they have a large stock of firearms (new & used). Have traded in a few firearms and got a decent amount towards another gun. I know they need to make some money and it could take awhile to sell. I really appreciate their 4 month lay-away. Sure helps me alot. I've never had a problem with staff. And always willing to show me a gun. They can get busy at times, hit n miss with people coming in. So I have had to be patient, but that also keeps me from impulse buying. My only complaint is how the rifle and shotguns are displayed. You are forced to look at the bottom of each firearm and guess what it could be. Would be alot easier if it could be a side view. Might keep people from asking what is that over & over. Some of the used pistol display cases are dark on lower shelves. Forced to get my cell phone light at times. Like all gun stores, each one is different. So far this one is my fave in the South Sound. read more

SKB 12 ga trap shotgun arrived May 7th from on-line purchase in Delaware. Got call from shop, "Ten government days and come on in and pick it up". Right. Walked in on May 23rd to pick up. Another LIVE clerk said, "Uhh no, the ten days starts when the paperwork is done and your safety certification is completed". HE was very helpful and VERY apologetic that first guy on phone had f*cked it up so royally. No one died, true, but now I wait until June 8th for REAL pick up. Too bad, was hoping to use it in trap shoot in Pt Angeles on the 15th but doubtful "snap in" time is adequate. Kudos to live clerk. Raspberries to phone guy. Terrible service all around. Had a firearm sent there and the manufacturer needed the FFL license since theirs was expiring and was given zero solutions, basically told sorry. For a FFL license number? I'm sure a FFL license is a pretty big deal for a gun broker but who am I? I'll gladly have it shipped somewhere else and did. Went in there another time asking for a dovetail Reddot sight, guy had no idea what I was talking about and was rude. How are you gonna work in a gun shop and not know what a dovetail Reddot is? The range: I see a lot of comments from folks who are new to the gun world (I am too), about being turned away for not having their own gun with them, or someone who owns one with them. First and foremost, as someone who works in the legal field I can only assume this is a liability issue. They don't have staff there to babysit someone through learning the ins and outs of shooting, and new gun owners are more likely to cause an accident. I have gone twice and rented several pistols to see what I would like to purchase. Both times were an overall positive experience, staff is very helpful. There's an older gentleman there who I really enjoyed, he was super helpful in teaching me a few techniques and just enjoyable to talk to. I don't remember his name but he always wears a vest :) The shop: After deciding on a pistol I liked, I went in to WGS guns on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few people at the counter but Pierre helped me pretty quickly, was super knowledgeable and didn't make me feel like I HAD to buy. I did however and the background check paperwork and check out maybe took 20 minutes. I got my gun exactly a week later, bought a small gun safe and some ammo, and that was a pleasant experience as well. Thanks WGS for my new Mouskatool. read more

More employees sitting around bullshitting each other with garbage horse shit or bullshitting some old customer who can't even hardly here what he's saying! Great selection, unless you're looking for variety of some guns like Beretta. They have lots of Smith and Wesson, Glocks, and Sigs, but only 1 -2 models of Beretta. I came here after being turned away from renting guns at the Lakewood range which is attached to this store. The range was very happy to send me over here to buy a gun but wouldn't let me learn about how they behave before buying, unless I brought a gun (which I don't own yet) or brought a friend (which I don't know of any that have guns) They have lots of guns, but none that I was looking for. I was curious to hold one or two others as alternatives, however, their sales team passed me by for 30 minutes without even a greeting. I said screw it, they don't even have what I wanted, so I went down to a pawn shop and received 1,000,000 times better service than this place. I can't speak to their service standards because I never received any service from them in the first place. The store is laid out well, and most everything is on racks, in glass cases with garage sale tags attached to them, or on the walls. I couldn't determine any organization standards, pistols were randomly placed together, not by brand, not by model or type... so you're relegated to walking around aimlessly trying to find the gun you were looking for. Since no one talked to you, you couldn't ask if they had it in stock. Stay away, unless you're desperate or can't drive far, there's better gun stores, hell, go to Cabela's. I like WGS and have bought many things there over the years. The sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is good too. So I was disappointed when I spent top dollar for a single action revolver recently that was sold as new. The cylinder had a bolt ring on it already,okay it was pricey and stayed in the display cabinet for a while. The box it came in was ripped apart and the barrel and cylinder showed traces of use far beyond factory testing. The debris left in the barrel needed a Lewis Lead Remover to clean up.If the sales staff or someone else used it I can understand cuz it is that cool. But at least clean it up afterward please. read more

Came here to try and purchase my first AR and the sales man was not helpful at all. I had an AR in mind that I saw online and he said it was not here and I can only purchase online. I asked him if he had anything similar and he showed me one AR and I asked him questions about it. He was rude and didn't respond well. I and two others waited for 15 minutes while being ignored by two salespersons. Went to the gun range after over hearing the salesperson recommended to a new prospective owner that they should shoot several handguns at a gun range before buying to ascertain the best fit. I went to the gun range at the same property. The range person refused to help me because he said he could not teach me to shoot a gun since this would be my first time. Was needing to sell a used pistol that I bought from them for a high price and then dropped it 400 dollars from the price I bought it for and they wanted it for a low price and tried to scam me saying they sell them for a grand. Would not recommend here if you are trying to sell or buy. So I went there to buy a vp9 for conceal carry and these guys sold me a vp9 for full price but it had no magazines with it. Looking back the gun seemed not brand new plus it didn't come with any mags... When I asked them why they blamed it on the mag ban but the sticker on the box said it included 2 17 round mags. They kind of shrugged their shoulders and said don't worry they are easy to find just go buy some. I was kind of like ok so I called all around and no one in Washington had any. At this point I was pretty pissed because I bought this gun to protect my family and it's pretty much useless with no mag. So I asked the guy at the store if the store would include a mag and he said no I had to pay them ordering them for hk it was over 100$ like really guys WTF. At that point I returned the gun and got my money back and went to bass pro shop where I got better service and a brand new vp9 with 2 mags for cheaper. honestly I'm not a big gun guy and I feel these guys took advantage. You know full well the gun came with mags and they just sold them or kept them and passed the bill onto me. I will never buy anything from them again. Terrible experience and I put the thing on my credit card so when I returned it it lowered my credit score. These guys suck and are shady so watch out. Moral of the story I wanted to purchase through a local non chain store but it came back to bite me. Go to bass pro shop to get your guns. Spent a few minutes here doing some shopping. Employees I spoke to were courteous and answered my questions. I did not ultimately make a purchase here as I went with a different model pistol at a different store as WGS did not have it in stock. However pricing seemed fair and a bit below MSRP for the pistols I looked at here. Store seem pretty on top of COVID precautions, requiring makes and ensuring social distancing at the counter by having a makeshift barrier so that customers and counter clerks stand further away from each other when speaking. They do limit the number of customers that are allowed in, and while I did not have to wait, as I left a line had formed and customers were waiting for spaces to open up. read more

First time to this range with the wife to break in some new 5.56 boom sticks and a couple of 22lr hand guns on the 4th of July. Staff: Staff was very friendly, just kinda odd transacting with masks on. It took about 15 minutes to get through the new customer process and the paperwork was fairly simple and that included a 9 minute video. The front office: Pretty typical for an indoor range at 25yards, front area is a bit acoustically challenge and hard to talk about things, but really not why we went there. The range: The air seemed very clean, not a lot of shooters but still very nice. The computerized target retrieval system was pretty convenient (no holding a switch) and the second shelf at the stand helped store gear. There was an actual RSO stationed in the shooting area though a camera system was not readily noticeable if they had one. Acoustics were ok, I've seen worse and I've seen better, didn't really have time to pull out the noise meter, but I will next time and update this review Ammo/supplies: 5.56 ammo had to be purchased there since they have had issue with people shooting unauthorized rounds in the past. On the other hand, my wife and I bought their biggest box each and we have spare to go into storage. Brass: They were very supportive of picking up your own brass and they do recycle it all. Kind of a shame to walk away from all the other brass on the ground but pretty typical for the other indoor ranges I go to. Cost: Cost structure seemed reasonable for an indoor range with exception of having to purchase the 5.56 there, since we already had it at .20 a round, but the times have pushed ammo prices up recently and it is a fair price. The lanes were about $16.50 since no veteran or past police discount and it wasn't ladies night (for the wife) a piece for the first visit without ammo and our own guns. We could have used 1 lane but it was nice to have 2, 1 lane for each of us. 5.56 was about .40 a round for bulk which seems ok for the times. Plenty of targets and other supplies as well with a fairly well stocked rental gun rack. Targets were $1.50 or $3.00 and they supplied a stapler, it's how you tracked the lane you were assigned. Conclusion: All in all it was a nice experience and the place was well suited for new customers and I will include this range in my rounds. I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a good shooting experience. read more

Avoid the shooting range, as there is a guy in there that "worked with special forces" that won't leave you alone when shooting and will come shoot your ammo on your target. For the love of god, suspend the old man with the beard! Went in a week or so before this last encounter to narrow down what i wanted for my first concealed carry. Made up my mind on the G19 gen 4. The 2 guys who worked with me were more than welcoming and helpful. I came back just recently to purchase the pistol, and this is when i got some old man with a white beard... i ask to see the Glock 19 Gen 4 in 9mm, the old man takes the gun out, points it right at me as he safety checks it. I know every gun is safety checked but pointing the gun at a customer no matter the reason immediately puts me off. I ended up going to Bullseye in Tacoma who ended up being cheaper AND came with night sights. Out the door with a 50 round box and safe for less than $650. The only reason i gave this a 2 instead of 1 is because the guys i talked to before encountering the old man. read more
