I was amazed by how bad the service was. Every step of the process was incredibly slow. The servers seemed pissed off at me for some reason and I couldn't figure out what it was. I had the steak salad, which was okay. It was annoying that all of it was in such large pieces that I had cut it up myself. I'm not a fan. read more

We have been going to The Rainier for over 15 years and have been VERY happy, but the last 3 times have been very disappointing. My favorite fish and chips were soggy and tasteless, and the tarter sauce that use to be fantastic, now tastes like crappy store bought. The next time we went my ribs were good, but my wife's food tasteless, and could only eat a few bites. Third strike was a couple of weeks ago, we went with a few friends, while my food was OK, everyone else's orders were all missing different parts of the meal. One of the ladies ordered chicken strips and soup, she didn't get her food until most of us were done eating, and when it did come they were over cooked and dry. If you love salt, this is your place!! Holy crap could hardly eat our food due to the over saturation of salt. Wasnt informed on happy hour, we found the menu tucked behind the silverware container. Asked if our beer was on happy hour or what was and she never found out. By the time she came back happy hour was over and said "well it wasnt on there anyways" ... k we asked what was. Have to say that the Burger is way too dry despite the price being higher than other restaurant. Had to wash down with beer. The real sad thing was we waited more than 10 minutes for service while the waitresses were busy saying hi to their local friends all around. People came in the restaurant later than us even get served before us. I guess this restaurant is a little too 'local' for tourists. read more

The place is small, so expect to wait on the weekends, but don't worry the food is worth it. Waitstaff is very attentive but prices are a little expensive. We usually share a bowl of soup and just get an appetizer. I recommend the calamari, it's awesome. read more

This is about my fourth trip here and "EVERY"single plate I have ordered has been outstanding!!!!!! The line to get in can sometime be a little long but goes pretty fast. Good ambiance and service. Started off with ham and bean soup... delicious!!! Ordered chicken strips that are a "no fail" in the food industry except here...they were burnt and I only ate 1 of them. The garlic fries had a blob of garlic on top on it and not mixed in with butter and they sat the chicken strips on top the garlic blob.....I'll be tasting garlic for days! My date had a hamburger that was so dry he had to ask for a side of mayo. His onion rings that were so big you could barely eat them and only had 2 on the plate. read more

A friend and I had dinner here on a Saturday evening and did not have such a great experience. When we arrived we sat down and it felt like everyone working there had looked at us at one point yet not one person came over to help us. Then we got annoyed when a group walked in after we had already been sitting there a few minutes and someone helped them right away. We must have sat there almost 7-10 mins before finally someone helped us and they didn't even apologize for ignoring us. The waitress was quick on getting our drinks out to us and they were stiff which was good. She did pay attention to us after complaining about how we sat there forever before being helped. Luckily I am easy going and let it go. I had a few martini's, which were pretty good. So I will say they have a nice selection of martini's. Food was good. no complaints. I think this place could be good but because of the horrible service I had i gave it a low rating. Maybe I will give it another try sometime. read more

Wait staff is amazing. Great selection of beers and wines to choose from. It's just a great family restaurant that happens to have a "happening" bar vibe. I know...doesn't sound possible does it?!? And yet, this is THE place to be. Oh, and the sweet potato fries are to DIE for!!! read more

The Rainier Bar & Grill in Enumclaw serves some of the best Rib Eye Steaks, Prime Rib, and BBQ Baby Back Ribs one can find in South King county. The menu & appetizer choices are great and servings are generous. They have a full liquor & mixed drink bar, a good selection of wine, microbrews on tap, and a service staff which is both excellent and friendly. As an Enumclaw resident, I have found this place not only offers excellent food and great service, but it continues to provide a relaxed and fun gathering place for us locals. It is also a must do stop for thirsty & hungry travelers who are on their way to or from Mt.Rainier. read more

Came in on a busy night and we ordered food and drinks. Drinks came fast but things started to go down hill after that. The margaritas were bland and flavorless, too many ice cubes and not enough anything else for a 7 dollar drink, one sip and they were done. Food came out but appetizers never showed. Clam chowder there is really good BTW. We had fish and chips and it came out soggy and dripping in grease. Then when we were almost done the appetizers came out which our waiter comped us on. Everything seemed so so until we got home and started to feel sick. Thank goodness we have two bathrooms. Next morning and I still felt grossed out and my nerve endings are all tingling. Food poisoning a bit maybe? Or just all the grease? I will certainly not be having fish and chips there ever again or any bar drinks. Clam chowder was worth having again though. read more

This place is great we go there with friends weekly and food and service is always top notch, you have to go early or you wait outside to get in but worth the wait. I have alway's liked the Rainier, even back when it was just a dive bar with an old beat up screen door. The beer selection is pretty good and the food is great, it's even better when there's open mortorcycle parking in front for my steel horse. I live in Maple Valley,Wa .Today my wife and were ,on our to The Elk Head Brewery in Buckley.We decided to look for a place for lunch.we stopped by chance at the Rainier Bar & Grill in down town Enumclaw.This was one of time we you get Lucky & and fine a great experiences. This was one of the Best Experiences we have in as lone time. The service was Super ,they have a large Food Menue,they have a warm old style Bar setting.The Food was Excellent ,I have the Fried Oyster Sandwich/with Jack Cheeseand sautaed Onions.My Wife had Soup&Salad .Rainier Bar & Grill has your favorate Micro Brews also.The prices were Great .If you are looking For Good Food and a Freindly Atmosphere the is the stop. Good food and service. Warning.... some of the beer is warm on a few taps. The guy next to us sent his back for a colder tap. Per the bartender, the owner knows but doesn't fix it. I was pleasantly surprised by this cool old pub with great food out in the middle of nowhere/farmland WA. Admittedly, I am a Northern Cali "foodie"...so the expectations were not high. HOWEVER....everything about this little "hole-in-the-wall" was stellar from the great local beers on tap (love that Mac & Jac's African Amber) to the friendly/prompt service by our waitress, to the prices/portions/food! Awesome! Granted, this place seems to be known for its RED MEAT dishes (and yes, they use KOBE beef!) and I did see plenty of those pass by our table, but since we had sat in our car most of the day AND had a big lunch at Full Sail Brewery (that is another review) in Hood River, we opted for a couple of pints and 2 salads with grilled fish atop. HUGE SALADS and we could not finish them, but fresh fish, cooked properly and NO ICEBERG LETTUCE! Yeah! If I am ever back this way again, I would definitely return! Great food. This is my favorite place to eat in Enumclaw. Their ribs are to die for, but only served Thursdays (I think Mondays now too). I like them so much I had a friend pick some up right after my son was born so I wouldn't miss out on the Thursday night special. My wife loves the wraps. Our favorite desert is the bread pudding. Joey the chef knows what he is doing back there. I wish they had a few more beers on tap but they always have at least one of my favs. Oh and the diversity of what they are playing is always nice. From Ski videos to Football, they usually have something good on. read more
