They cleaned up all the debris. TLDR: do not hire for anything other than spot repairs for leaking roofs…read more So we hired this company to repair a leak coming down in our garage. Sales person came out for review to make an assessment on what would be involved. In the conversation they offered to clean the roof, I told them there's a lot of moss up there and they said they could easily do that. Oh they cleaned something, just not the whole roof. They got the entire north side of my house covered in caked on globs of dirt. This included everything around there like my A/C exterior fan unit, my trash bins, my shed, my storage lockers and my deck boxes. They left a hose, my hose, on the roof and running all night long until my wife spotted it the next morning. My front hose was also used, I know this because instant of rolling it back up using the roll they just left it all piled up at the corner of my house. Now told them about this, and the person who responds just always says they'll get in touch with their "experts" and let me know. Eventually they came back to finish cleaning the roof and clean up the mess on the side of the house. They came and went then I got home and checked, looked like they took about two seconds to clean some of the side but ran off to their next project. It was in no way clean or even in the condition it was in prior to their work. As for the roof being cleaned and moss control applied, I can't get all the way up on the 2nd floor roof to know but my HVAC company came out to do some other work related to "Smokey cedar smell in air ducts, & they climbed up to the 2x!: floor and took photos. There was no moss control applied on the 2nd floor roof and miss was growing everywhere on the west back side, yes this was the very next day after M&H came. Cleaning and moss control were services we agreed M&H would do.m, but they clearly didn't yet still charged me for it. Oh and that donkey cedar smell? Sawdust in the HVAC exhaust line from roof & vent repairs. So basically the roofing company offered a series of services they never fully executed. I had to hire a different company to complete the gutter work and re-clean the lower & upper roofs and apply moss control up on the 2nd roof. Then I had to clean out my HVAC vents, and I had to wash and scrub the exterior of my house. How are they still in business is beyond me.

We were able to schedule our roof replacement when we wanted to get it done and the job was completed in just two days. We were impressed that it was such a quick and smooth process. After our roof was done, our gutters just took one day to replace.. so in total, it only took 3 days to get a brand new roof and gutters! Also, throughout the entire process, Elijah (the project manager?) kept us updated on how things were going and was also easily reachable for any questions we had. We appreciated the good communication! My only minor "complaint" would be that the cleanup after the job being done wasn't 100%. There were a few scraps and caution tape leftover from the roof job, and then a large ladder was left from the gutter job. However, and more importantly, it was still a job very well done and we are happy with how things turned out. I would recommend NearMe if you are looking to get a roof or gutter replacement!

With the last rain we had a month ago when the wind was blowing hard, we developed a leak. I called Tim at Peninsula Roofing and told him of the problem and he sent a guy out to check it out. The inspector said that he thought it was due to a problem with the original installation done 12 years ago that just now showed up due to the windy condition. A week later they came out and repaired the roof by installing new flashing and some new shingles. With NO CHARGE to us. Imagine after 12 years there was no charge. I want to give them a shout our for excellent customer service.

It is the attention to worksite details like that which I believe can't help but spring from, and translate into, the quality of the workmanship itself. They installed Malarkey Vista AR composition shingles that match the roof on our garage that they did a great job on several years ago. The roof on our house is not simple. There are several dormers, two main ridges, shed roofs on long bump outs on the side and returns on gable ends. The removed a metal chimney we no longer use and cut in ridge vents. The house is stucco and they neatly and properly flashed and counter flashed everything. In addition, the porch has a hip roof with a 4' x 5' flat section on which they put a PVC roof to replace roll roofing. They meticulously protect the house and plants and clean up everyday. I highly recommend them.

We ended up going to another solar company out of Olympia to get these issues addressed. We knew once the other company touched the system it would null and void any service agreement with Universal Electric PNW. Long story short, the new company is currently on the roof reinstalling the L brackets and rails as they were not installed to manufacturer requirements (tile roof, tiles not ground flat) and rewiring the whole system at an out-of-pocket cost to us. If I could give this business a negative rating, they would receive it.

As of October 2025, nothing is installed. I've had repeated delays and now a mechanics lien (~$25,000) for materials I never received. I'm up against the December 31, 2025 deadline for federal incentives. Details of delays & issues: Over ~16 months I've been given shifting reasons: Expired business license Truck accident destroying materials City permit office staffing delays Supplier delays and blaming Puget Sound Energy (PSE) The company also told me they would try other suppliers. They gave me a couple of company names. I contacted those suppliers directly. They reported no purchase orders or material requests tied to my project and no record of engagement from the contractor for my job. A lien (~$25,000) was filed against my home for materials never delivered and that appear to be associated with a different project. I have paid $25,000 and still have no installation. If anyone else has been burned buy this company feel free to reach out.
