We use to live in Mississippi and would go to Raising Canes a few times a month. Now there is one in Valdosta and we can go again. I missed them. Best chicken and love the Canes sauce. I'd been itching to try Raising Cane's, however, there's really not a location near my home and I just hadn't had the opportunity. However, I've been making regular visits out to my family in Putnam County and this has allowed me to drive by the Avon location of Raising Cane's. Today, I finally got a chance to check it out. Raising Cane's is a growing chain that specializes in chicken fingers (or tenders). That's it. That's their gig. When founder Todd Graves proposed the idea in a business class, he received one of the lowest grades because his professor said it wouldn't work. Graves persevered. Named after his labrador (literally named Raising Cane), this chain is growing with three Central Indiana locations currently (Avon, Carmel, Noblesville). As noted, Raising Cane's is based around chicken tenders/fingers in a handful of different combos. They have multiple sides, serve Coke products, and have both sweet and unsweetened iced tea. They have a two-sided drive-thru, though only one side was open at my time of arrival. You can dine inside, however, on this visit I did not. I could tell the curb cuts were appropriate, however, I won't speak to accessibility on the inside. The employees I met were friendly and helpful. I was able to upsize my drink, always a plus, and my order was accurate. I tend to prefer barbecue sauce with my tenders, however, I opted to try their Raising Cane sauce. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Raising Cane's is community minded with six areas of focus - education, feeding the hungry, active lifestyles, pet welfare, entrepreneurship, and "other" (meaning they enjoy supporting community organizations and will consider "other" ideas). While I'm not quite ready to go 5 stars here, I enjoyed the tenders quite a bit and I enjoyed the small order of crinkle-cut fries. The food quality was good and the quantity was a solid meal. Employees were great, the drive-thru went pretty darn quickly, and I have no issues with calling this a solid 4-star experience. I'll definitely be back. read more

My daughter begged me to take her so we grabbed a few of her friends and my husband and I took them. There aren't a ton of options for the meals but that made it pretty easy to order. I got chicken tenders and fries and a soda. The chicken was great and the sauce was YUMMY. The line moved fairly quickly and the man helping us out was very friendly and helpful. We had heard so many good things about this restaurant that we decided to check it out. We went for dine in near noontime on a weekday. There was no wait to place our orders and our server was very friendly. Our food came out fairly quickly. The chicken was good and I really liked the unsweetened brewed iced tea. If you were wanting to get any other food but chicken tenders you would need to go elsewhere. I thought the prices were a little high for fast food but it was good. My spouse brought home a couple of Cane's tender combos this evening. I've had Cane's on a trip or 2 just for something quick at a drive through, but been a few years and didn't quite remember much about it. Now I remember why I didn't have much of an impression about it. Tonight we both had the 4 piece tender combo. Crinkle fries were just OK, seemed to not be seasoned/salted and could have been crispier (not sure if that's a function of it being take out). Chicken was juicy and meaty enough but again batter could have been seasoned better. Cane's sauce = nothing special, IMO. I don't eat slaw, but my spouse said it tasted good (could have been colder). Texas toast is good and glad it is included with the combo. Spouse said drive through experience was pretty good, with a pleasant experience at the window. Overall I'd say Cane's was just OK and nothing special when there are plenty of other chicken options locally. If a restaurant is basically only going to do one thing, they need to be outstanding at it and I can't say that's the case with Cane's. read more

My final review of 2022 (for a total of 135)! Another place that opens early for lunch, 10 AM! I was out running errands and shopping early on a holiday Saturday to beat the crowds and traffic and discovered they're open at 10 am. I had the dining room to myself for the first half hour. I'm a long time consumer of Cane's but at the Lexington location for the past year or so. I'm so glad we have one in Avon now. I had my first experience at the Casa Grande, AZ location in the early 2000s. The menu is not complicated, four choices and a kid's combo. They do chicken fingers and that's it. So choose you combo based on how many fingers you want, 6, 4, 3, or the sandwich. Warning! For all you dieters swearing off carbs, DO NOT take one bite of the Texas Toast. It is so good you will end up eating the whole thing. And their crinkle fries are the bomb! But I'm forgetting to mention that their chicken is some of the best ever especially for a fast food chain. The Coleslaw is good too. They have three clean unisex restrooms available. There is plenty of dine in parking spaces and a double drive through. I love Raising Canes! This location has been here for only about a year. It is very clean and a bright interior. With booths. The staff was friendly and very social with us when we came in and placed our order and one of them was constantly walking around, making sure the place was clean. The food is excellent chicken strips with their canes sauce. It was excellent fried perfectly .the crinkle cut french fries were just salty enough, nice and hot and crispy. And the huge plus is always the Texas toast that is seasoned very well. It's hot ,crispy on the outside and soft on the inside exactly the way it should be. I highly recommend raising canes. Lol Anyhow, it was still busy but at least we were able to place our order and get it within a reasonable amount of time. Their menu is simple - chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich. I went in today and I got very fast and friendly service. Then it was down hill fast. I went for the fries first they were crispy and well cooked only problem was they had no taste. Then I went to the coleslaw which I don't care for much anyway but also no taste. Then it was too the chicken strips they were cooked perfectly perfection but also they had no taste unless you dipped them in the cane sauce which had flavor just not a good one. Then it was to the bread which was the star of the show it was very delicious had plenty of flavor. The dining room was nice and clean but they had music playing way to loud . It's conveniently located by Costco so it's perfect for post shopping but it was a disappointment, The lemonade was watered down, The chicken fingers weren't fully cooked, The fries had OLD grease taste. The person that took my order was cheerful and I wanted to spend my money there. I went through the drive thru, it was clean and well lit, many people were inside I'll have to check it out next time. Not a fan, we came in for the first time and all we heard at first was yelling names and yelling orders. When ordering it's just chicken. Chicken strips or chicken sandwich. Fries are crinkle fries and the only sauce is cane sauce ketchup mayo mix and honey mustard. No ranch No BBQ sauce. 2 6 strip baskets are 36.00 dollars. Total not worth it. This Raising Cane's location was mediocre, don't know if it was just the people or we came at the wrong time but when we came the line was moving pretty slow and when we finally ordered and got our food both of our fries were how fries are after you try and preserve them. They had this soggy and almost rubbery texture and usually they are better than this so it might be worth your while if you come at the right time I guess. read more

They brought it out at 8:05pm. Ordered 2 Sandwich combos w/fries. Ordered a 1/2 unsweetened tea 1/2 lemonade, but just got tea. Also paid extra for a side of sauce, not in our order at all. Employees seemed almost too chill and laid back, they didn't seem very organized. Store was clean. Hoping this is just new store bugs that will smooth out. Food was hot and good. We went during the week and around noon and were able to order inside right away and find a table. It didn't take very long for our food to be ready either and the drive thru line was pretty long. It was a fun atmosphere with disco balls in the sitting area to an Elvis photo frame and other fun wall decor. The three finger combo was filling and included a side of fries and piece of bread with it. My favorite part might've been the Cane's sauce for the fries/chicken and the piece of bread. The bread was delicious and had more of a pretzel taste than toast taste to me. The lemonade was tasty too. So good it gets a neon sign by the ordering counter. We got here at 10pm on a Friday night and they were beyond busy. We had to park in the furthest spot from the door which wasn't a problem. I was a bit worried as to how long we might wait for food however the wait for as busy as they was wasn't and at all. We ordered within 5 mins of entering the building and had our food in about 10-15 mins. They did accidentally give us the wrong bio but they corrected the issue immediately. It's a nice ambiance as they have a disco ball and music playing. Seems to be the teen hangout place so some may have considered it to be loud in here. Food was fresh and tasted great. Complete forgot to take pictures but it didn't disappoint. Definitely worth a try and don't let the long lines discourage you. read more

Raising Canes is busy busy! I went around 2:30pm on a Saturday and the parking lot was full, the drive through line wrapped around the lot and the line in the lobby was into the table section! But for good reason: the food is tasty!! The chicken tenders were hot and super crispy, although a bit small for the price but with noticeable quality. I waited 20 minutes for a single order. Recommend the half tea half lemonade with the nugget ice! I'd definitely get it again but hopefully with a shorter wait time. read more

Wow. If I could leave a negative star review I would. And I don't leave bad reviews. First, if you can complain to management before leaving a bad review, do it. Now..it appears that children run this place. At least today, on Fathers Day. The first red flag that told me I should have left were the 2 kids behind the counter arguing about who would take my order. Neither one wanted to, apparently. I counted 6 kids working in there, flipping each other off and screwing around. And I wouldn't even care about that if the following wouldn't have happened. The kid took my order and asked if I wanted a receipt. I declined (big mistake on my part) and my son and I took a seat to wait on the food. Mind you, there was only one table of people in the place, should be easy. Then 2 more families came in, placed their orders and received their food while we were still waiting on ours. Finally I went up to ask another girl who works there if she could check our order. She asked my name and went looking all over the kitchen. The other kid who begrudgingly took my order 20 minutes ago, asked me if he could take my order. He had no recollection of me even though the place was empty. Finally, another 5 minutes goes by and the girl brings me my order. The bread was cold, the fries were soggy, the chicken was ok. Long story short, avoid this place. I can't believe it. Didn't this place just open a few months ago? With all the options coming to Avon, this place will be gone soon if action isn't taken. No wonder it was empty at 2pm on a Sunday. read more

First time trying Raising Cane's. I was shopping at Costco and decided to stop to pick up a little snack on the way home. I had never been to a Raising Cane's before so I didn't know that they only serve chicken fingers and fries. I really wanted a chicken sandwich so I opted for the only sandwich related thing that they had and it was the three finger sandwich. It comes as a combo with crinkle fries and a drink. I didn't want fries as I wasn't that hungry so I asked for it with the sandwich only and a small diet Coke. I figured it would probably be more expensive than the $9,99 combo but I wasn't expecting $11.92 for the sandwich and a small drink! Anyhow, that's on me. The staff was friendly enough. They apparently thought I asked for extra Cane's sauce because they charged me for it. However, when I opened my food there was fries in it! So I paid extra for a combo! The bun on the sandwich was soft and the chicken was tender and moist but it had no flavor. There is no spices or even salt in the breading it seems. Even with the infamous Cane's sauce there was really no improvement. With all the hype back when it opened I was expecting something really good, but it was just meh. I literally made this account to leave this review. Let me preface this by saying: I am not a "Karen". I am not a negative Nancy here to ruin anyone's day. I myself am a customer service employee, so I get it. Everyone has bad days. But yesterday I went to this canes location and had the worst experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant and I have too much time on my hands today so I am here to share my experience. I pull up to the drive through at probably around 6pm. It's a two lane drive through, and lane 1 has quite a few cars in it, so naturally I pull up to lane 2 behind maybe 2 or 3 cars waiting in front of me. I sit there for maybe 5 minutes, and the car at the window pulls away and leaves. At first I thought maybe they were just ordering a ton or something, since the other line was moving at a normal speed. But after this car left, I am sat there for another 10 minutes with no movement. At this point, the car I would've been behind in the other lane is pulling away from the window with their food, so I think maybe I'm in the wrong lane ? The canes I normally go to only has one lane so maybe this second lane is special and everyone knows this but me ? So I pull away and circle around to lane 1. Of course, after this, lane 2 starts moving and lane 1 is at a standstill. Maybe my luck for being impatient, but it had been around 20 minutes at this point and other people had started to do the same so at least I wasn't the only one. Finally, after maybe 30 minutes, I get up to the speaker to order. I roll down my window and hear nothing but music. At first I thought it was coming from another car in line but I think it was coming from the restaurant itself. I wait a minute and say "hello ?" My thought was maybe they only have one person taking orders for both lanes, and they are doing lane 2 right now, because I've seen this at other places with two drive through lanes like McDonald's. But I turn over to look at the other lane, and the guy driving the car at that speaker looks just as confused as me. After seeing this I say "hello???" Again but louder in case maybe they couldn't hear me the first time over the music. Still no response. After another minute i say "is anyone there?" And almost immediately a man's voice says "yes. What can I get you" like dude what ! How long have you been there ??? I place my order FINALLY. I got a box combo with an unsweetened Arnold Palmer. The wait time between ordering and getting to the window was quick so I guess that's good. When I get to the window, the lady takes my card and hands me my drink. When she gives me back my card she goes "wait, hold on, you got the unsweetened one right? That's the wrong one. Can you give it back ?" Sure. whatever. She hands me a different drink. I take a sip of it and she goes "does it taste sweet or unsweetened ? I can't tell which is which." Poor girl. At this point I've been at this canes for almost an hour and I don't even know right from left anymore. I say it's fine (it was, but in that moment I didn't even know. It could've been sewer water and I would've been like yeah sure just give me by food please). I get my food and drive away. Finally. When I open the food, it's HOT. so that's one of the only good things to happen here. However, the receipt on the box says "3 finger combo with sweet tea" which is not what I ordered or payed for so I start to get scared. When I open it, it is in fact a box combo which was relieving. BUT: it had two pieces of toast and no coleslaw. Now, I understand I am probably in the minority when it comes to my canes order, I am literally the only one in my family that gets the slaw instead of replacing it. I did eat it how they gave it to me, But still, it was not what I ordered, and I just know whoever behind me asked for no slaw and got it instead was not gonna be happy LOL. If anyone bothered to read this, I'm sorry. I mostly just needed to rant and thought this was a fine place for it. I will be sticking to my usual canes location from now on. read more

I'm a big fan of this location, parking is plentiful, two drive thru lanes, 3 very clean unisex bathrooms, staff is friendly and efficient. I always eat inside, I like the vibe, the music, and the cleanliness of the whole restaurant. The chicken is always yummy, I love Canes sauce but might like the honey mustard a little more. I'm not big on fast food restaurants but we had to try this one. I got news last week that they had opened the fist ever Raising Cane in Indianapolis and I wanted to see what all the online talk was about . I actually seen a story on the news about how long the lines where!! We went on Saturday November 19 about 4:00pm in the afternoon and the line to get into the parking lot was insane. Of course it was, this was grand opening week so it was to be expected. The restaurant had off duty police officers directing traffic so navigating the parking lot made a lot easier. However we made the right decision to go inside instead of taking the drive though. Even though the parking lot was full of cars there was a lot of parking because most people where using the drive through. There drive through is set up with multiple Lanes and sections to process your order much like Chick-fil-A. So I would imagine they where moving people though it efficiently. Once we got inside we walked right up to the counter and placed our order. There was plenty of tables available on the inside and people where coming and going so we had no issue finding a place to site. Once we got our drinks and made it back to our table our name was called and we got our food. It was fresh and hot! The food was very good, I got the number 1 basket which had 3 chicken strips and fries with a drink. I love the cane sauce and I used it to dip my strips in and it was delicious. We where in the parking lot, food ordered and meal done all in just 40 minutes. And eating our meal probably took up about 30 of that. The customer service was very good. While in the dinner area I noticed that there was always someone walking around picking up peoples empty food trash and wiping down the tables which made it easy for others to find sitting . I also really appreciated that they used disinfectant wipes instead of a dirty old towel and contaminated dirty water to wipe down the tables, it even smelled good.
