Overall, Raising Canes is in fact, Raising Canes. Inside of this location is pretty vibey- they had 3 disco balls hanging from the ceiling. I feel like the chicken always comes out hot, especially here which is one of my favorite things. It taste fresh and you know what you're getting. Unfortunately though, the chicken this time came out scorching to the point that all of us had burned the inside of our mouths..so be careful. Also, we waited a good 10 minutes for our food because it was busy which was no big deal, but they failed to give my sandwich order any sauce, or lettuce / a 'toasted' bun. We were seeing a show at the paradise and decided to stop in at Raising Caine to try it out. I've heard of the chain before but have never been. We each got a tender basket with fries and coleslaw and it was a lot of food. There's no way that we could have finished them. We were able to get through the chicken though. The basket also came with a slice of texas toast. The fries and chicken were super crispy, hot, and fresh out of the fryer. The sauce that was available was pretty good. All in all the food was great and I wouldn't hesitate to try this place again. read more

Have been eating Raising Cane's for over 10 years and this is by far the worst location in terms of food quality. I tried this location a year ago and found the fries undercooked and the chicken tasting more like frozen tenders than fresh or from Raising Cane's unique formula. I was craving and had good experiences from the Back Bay location, so decided to give this location another try, thinking a years time would make a difference. The food quality at this location is horrible and a disgrace. There is something off with the breading of the chicken, it's not the flaky crisp texture which makes Raising Cane's tenders so good. The tenders here tasted processed and unnatural. The fries were also off; tasted undercooked and oil soggy. I had also ordered an extra finger and 2 extra sauces, neither of which I received in delivery. Location also did not answer phone when I called before order Really disappointed because 1. I love Canes, 2. this location is close to campus, and 3. Is the only option for delivery in Boston. The food quality here also turned me off to canes slightly (but hoping a good trip to another location will change that since they are my fav tender brand). The coleslaw was good, Texas toast was good, and cane sauce was good, as normal. Really good place to have the late night munchies for chicken tenders. This is the prime location for bu students and they wait anxiously in line forever to get their chicken fix. They only sold set meals with a soda but I just wanted chicken fingers and some fries a la carte style. I cannot believe they charge for sauce 38 cents for sauce!! That's ridiculous and it wasn't the best sauce but it was fine ... Brought the extra sauce home just in case I need it for something ...might as well. The tenders were good but the fries were meh. This caniac combo comes with a really decently sized drink (lemonade for us). Its a great deal for around $16. Be prepared to wait in line for a long time at this place, as there are tons of college kids eating here. There are lots of dine-in tables for you to enjoy your meal on-site. So the Raising Cane's in Charlottesville, VA was one of my OG Yelp reviews (I gave it a 4 or 5 stars) - the chicken tenders, particularly the Box combo, got me through law school. I would order it before every other final and feel reassured that even if I didn't do well, I still had glorious chicken dipped in that Cane's sauce. Emotional eating at its finest. Anyway, I haven't had Raising Cane's in about ten years and among one of the things that cheered me up about moving to Boston was this rare Northeast location. (Interesting that the franchise has sprawled almost everywhere else but here.) But man, the quality over the span of a decade seems to have plummeted (or maybe I need to do a Raising Cane's tour of America to do a full analysis). The size of the chicken tenders shrank to about a half of the size in my memory and the crispy batter was unevenly coated, so I'd get one bite of all chicken and then another bite of all batter. The sauce was just as good as I remembered, maybe a little sweeter. However, we chose to go on a Sunday night, when hordes of college students also decided they really wanted Cane's. The place was a total mob. I felt bad for the employees who were doing their best and trying to get food out as quickly as possible. It also smelled rank inside, a combination of cooking oil and the sweat of too many bodies pressed together in a confined space, so I'd recommend taking it to go, even if the tenders end up soggy. Tables and floor didn't look the cleanest - like other reviews mentioned, when your main customer population are rowdy college students, the place ends up trashed. Minimal street parking along Commonwealth but there is a parking garage a few steps away. Overall, disappointed that the chicken didn't hold up to memory but I'm still glad I tried. read more

Ordering from here is easy peasy because they basically only have chicken tenders! I've heard lots of great things about this place, so I just had to give them a try. The chicken tenders and fries are pretty good. The tenders are similar to the ones at Popeyes but they're not as seasoned. The fries, coleslaw & toasted bread all paired well with the crispy chicken. And the cane sauce was a nice added touch!! The staff were all very friendly and seemed to really enjoy working there. Social distancing is enforced in the dining area with some tables being blocked off. The staff all wore masks & gloves and constantly wiped down the tables and chairs. Had been smelling a foul odor similar to garbage since September that progressively got worse as I came in to pick up my order over the weeks. Just around the first week of December there was an incredibly strong smell of straight shit like somebody had recently blown up the bathroom with the door wide open. The same ones. Drive through has two lanes packed into a small parking lot. Nice staff taking orders and payments. Would I go through the wait again? Definitely not. It's on the higher end of the scale for me for their chicken fingers and I'd recommend trying it once if it were convenient but it doesn't look like it's going to be convenient any time soon!
