I don't think I've ever been to a Raising Cane's. I just happened to be close by when I pulled in. Just looking to get something simple and quick before I go grocery shopping. This location is close to Sprouts Farmers Market. Location was convenient for me today. Parking was easy. Lots of parking spots. Walked in, young man greeted me. He was very polite and very nice. I looked over their menu, and decided on the combo. It was about $12.00 came with 4 chicken tenders, fries, coleslaw, and a hot dog shaped roll. I also got a side of their dipping sauce. Also a drink. The drink is self serve. I only poured half a cup, not a big soda drinker. But I got their Barq's root beer. Which was just what I remembered soda to be like. Bubbly. I did use the bathroom to wash my hands. I had just got car for my car. By the time I came out, another gentleman called my name and handed me my tray. I grabbed some napkins and some ketchup in the small little paper container, and a fork. Found a seat at a high top table. The decor all around was really interesting. Elvis Presley on the walls. Cedar Park sign, disco balls, Texas state flag. A little bit of everything. Thought it was neat looking around. Food was great. Chicken is fat and juicy tenders. Crispy outside, super juicy inside. Dipping sauce was good too. fries, are the crinkle cut. They were good. Not steaming hot, kind of warm hot. Love the coleslaw. Some places can't get it right. Theirs is done right. Enjoyed the coleslaw. I didn't eat the roll. Actually I didn't even finish. After 2 tenders and a few fries, I got full. I went back up front to get a to-go container. The young man that took my order was the same man that gave me the container. I asked his name, he said Jakob. I said " Jakob, you're the nicest most polite young man I've encountered" he was just so polite with yes ma'am, and asking me questions, throughout the ordering process. I just had to give him a compliment. He handed me a QR code to leave a compliment review on. Which I will do after this Yelp review. Way to go Jakob. Hope your boss sees this review as well. I first time trying Raising Cane... not that I was going with any high expectations, but I just don't appreciate that they have literally 4 menu items. Service was great and fast. The inside is kind of cute for a fast food spot. I do appreciate that they don't seem to use a lot of salt like other fast foods, but the fact that the chicken was flavorless unless you use the sauce is what goes for me. I tried it with their sauce and without, and I can tell if you don't get the sauce, it's pretty bland. The fries were crispy, but they did have a lot of salt on them. We ordered both the sandwich and the plate, and both were whatever. For the price, I truly can grab food elsewhere. read more

Ive never had any major complaints from this location, they tend to always be busy but still maintain a friendly attitude. They do tend to forget an occasional extra sauce here and there but they always give it to you no problem when you go back around. The food is always good and made to order fresh. I never thought I would end up trying a Raising Cane restaurant but I'm really glad I did. My wife and I were starving and wanted to grab something quick, and raising canes was a good option. Here's what I liked: menu was super simple because there was only a few choices, staff were friendly, and food was great. Here's what I didn't like: the menu didn't have things that a normal fried chicken place had like hot sauce, there also wasn't enough variety but again that's not a huge deal considering everything tasted great, their sauce is good but it's heavily overrated and parking wasn't the best layout at this location. If you're looking for chicken I'd definitely recommend going at least once just to make the determination for yourself. read more

Not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. For a quick lunch, I came to this location near my relative's house. The menu is simple and the staff friendly. The food comes out quickly and is freshly made. Overall, everything is good but nothing terribly unique to drive out of your way for. The breading on the tenders is crisp and light, not greasy but not very flavorful as you're expected to dip the tenders in the Cane sauce. I like the Cane sauce because it's a bit peppery. This location has the worst ratings in all of the Austin metro area for a reason. Obnoxious teen employees busy chitchatting and doing nothing at the drive-thru is the norm. Expect delays you've never seen at University, Brodie, Riverside, E Whitestone, RR, Westlake. Anticipate burnt or soggy chicken, cold French fries, and no condiments. Please retrain your drive-thru teenage female employee with the brown hair who copped a very surly attitude. As usual, I didn't receive my ketchup after checking, so I waited. And I waited. And I waited for her to reopen the window so I could ask her for ketchup. After a few min, I looked over at the window and saw 3 teenage faces staring back at me, but refusing to open the window. Only I'm not leaving, I'm not going to eat your dry, burnt chicken without ketchup. They clearly wanted me to leave, but I stood my ground. I finally had to motion to a male worker beside her for them to open the window. They were all deep in conversation, so I loudly said, "I need ketchup." The teen female employee copped a huge attitude acting like I just asked for a kidney and was like "okay, here is 1" as she sighed. Used to be full off the three piece, just got the box combo and it was about a small handful of fries and chicken strips half the size of what they used to be. Please staff, add some extra fries at least. Make the meal at least filling. I promise they won't notice if you up the fry count a bit. it would be a public service to us all . Received NO KETCHUP AT ALL FOR OVER 14-15 caniac combos. Even after the employee was alerted to make sure they were present. This is the third time we've gotten food at this location and like many of the other reviews on here- our chicken was not what we expected. Our fries were not salted whatsoever, the plainest I've ever had. The chicken as I mentioned was soggy even after having asked for it to be extra crispy. Everyone knows that Cane's has great chicken. Whenever I ask the crowd where to go for fast food, Raising Cane's is always on the list. Great chicken, great fries, amazing sauce. What people aren't aware of is that Canes has some of the best iced tea in Texas. My son was married this weekend, and we were responsible for beverages at the reception. We ordered 10 gallons of ice tea. We had to order ahead, because they make it fresh, and generally only have 4 to 5 gallons made at a time. Raving reviews. Always, always get the iced tea. No clue why the low review here but this is husband's favorite chicken place. Before they came to Austin, he would make us drive out of the way on trips just to go find one of these. When this location opened we were pretty excited because it's closer than the Whitestone location. Now, we don't go all the time because fried food isn't the healthiest but we love how fresh the food is. I went today and the girl at the drive through was super sweet and chatty. At Canes, you don't have a ton of choices... it's chicken, fries, Cole slaw, bread and cane's sauce. The Cane's sauce is the best. I placed a curbside order for a later pick up giving them plenty of time to prepare our food. I showed up at the designated pickup time, checked in and then waited for over 20 minutes. Not one employee brought out food or checked on us. I finally called and the girl who answered said oh yea, we will be right out. Our food had been sitting there for who knows how long. Our food was cold, ice was already melted in our drinks. it was my son's birthday and we had waited forever. I get home and my husband called to complain. she told him if he could bring it back they would help us. We had company taht was not an option. The manager said she would give us a refund and would received within 1-2 days. We called to check the status and was told by another manager m they could not process a refund, we would need to contact home office. After being tossed around to now 4 people, the last person asked my husband to see our bank records to prove we had not received a refund. Then said they send us a check. I do not trust this will be handled as we are still waiting and no resolve. Caleb was the last person we spoke with and said he is the highest person in the company and he doesn't have a boss. He refused to hellp. When my husband asked his last name, he refused. He refused to give anyone's contact information. He was snide and condescending to my husband.
