The staff is super friendly and there's limited parking near the front door. It is located in a shopping plaza, so there is parking on the other side of the drive-thu. The best thing about Raising Cane's is the bread and sweet tea. The chicken is OK. It taste just like basic chicken tenders. There's no special seasoning or anything that would make me want to rave about it. The fries have no seasoning. You would get the same flavor and fulfillment by grabbing a bag of frozen crinkle cut fries from your local grocery store. I don't eat coleslaw so I did not partake. This location is pretty new to the Hampton roads area. My kid wanted to try this spot out so bad (probably from the TikTok challenge). Honestly, it would really be a solid 2/5 if you ask me. But the special sauce brought it up to 3/5. The tenders are okay at best. The are plain, unseasoned, and boring by itself. The sauce makes it taste good. The fries are boring and unseasoned as well. Again, the sauce brings life to them. The buttered Bread was delicious. They only give you a tiny container of sauce and charge you 50¢ extra for another. Trust me, you'll need another sauce! This is the first free standing location in Hampton Roads/Coastal Virginia. It is located conveniently off of I-64 in Peninsula Town Center across the street from Walmart. Fun music and decor. Great vibe. We went on a Saturday night. Not too busy at the time. They try to keep it relatively clean, but it's a new location so they can always improve. The staff is friendly. Our order was correct. My husband ordered the 4 finger combo and I ordered the 3 finger combo, which is what I usually have. The service was great. The cashier who greeted me when I walked in, and was very cheerfully greeted and I did not have to wait very long for my order. I did consider sitting down to enjoy my order, but I had to leave it to go. The restaurant was clean. All the seating areas were clean and well taken care of. Many of the her and patrons were going through the drive-through, but I had to walk inside to experience the ambience of the set up and see a real person face to face. There was a sweet girl wiping each table off with Clorox wipes. I watched her use maybe one wipe per two tables. Service: no complaints. Not your average fast food banter in the background. I went there for my first time ever yesterday. The line was pretty long, but that only leaves me to assuming it's pretty good. We haven't had one in the area before, so I was actually really excited. All the employees I encountered were friendly and nice. The food was very pricey, it was about $18 for my meal, but it was a lot of food and I had a lot left over. My mother meal had 3 chicken strips, some fries, 1 slice of bread, and 1 thing of Canes sauce. We both agreed that the food was delicious. The bread was nice and crispy. It kind of gave me a garlic bread vibe but with less garlic flavor. The chicken strips were so crunchy and perfectly cooked. The fries were good but not the best. I wish they were a little more crispy but overall they were yummy. The coleslaw was also very good. It was creamy and it was very impressive for a fast food restaurant. The sauce was so amazing! It had some much flavor and it was creamy and delicious. The wait to get our food was a bit slow but it didn't take very long. The prizing seemed normal and it was either cheap or expensive. It basically the same thing except service is fast and they actually have more then a one trick menu. After my first review I still must add, Canes has the worst fries ever in a restaurant.
