Awesome food. Greeted with 2 different happy employees. It took me a minute to look over the menu because they had unique items.. The staff explained I could sign up for rewards and I did. They also explained how. The ordering worked. You get a buzzer and it goes off and then you go pick your food up at the counter.. The tables are wonderful. They have a high top table. They have a really unique corner round table and then they have individual café tables. The decor is a beach vibe.. everything was nice and clean and they had gender, neutral restrooms. That were also nice and clean. I got the teriyaki char meal. With everything with no cheese. It was perfect. My first bite was amazing. Flavors were sweet and savory. They also have an area that you can put jalapeño peppers or different sauce and I love that extra added detail. They also had a good drink selection. I have a friend that is allergic to bacon and they do have bacon there, but they do not cook the burgers on the same grill as the bacon. So if you have a bacon allergy, you'll be happy to know that your burger will be safe. read more

This place fell off big time! It was amazing when this older woman was running things, I seen a lot of new faces behind the counter & in the back kitchen today. They just opened & the lobby was absolutely filthy, the counters were all dirty with smudge & the floor in the lobby is a hazard. I think they are using their kitchen mop with all the grease on it for the dining area as well. It was so slippery to walk on & gross looking. It for sure did not smell pleasant while eating inside. Was hungry and in area so stopped in for a burger. Ordered to go order at screen. Burger and onion rings. $11.96 with tax. Area appeared clean. Four employees. Two in front running back and forth. Work stations did not appear to be laid out well. As for food. After leaving checked bag. No onion rings. Fries, with ketchup and ranch dressing. No place in order screen for dipping side. Defaults?? Fries were ok but some under cooked and some under salted. Burger was a mess. Looked like the burger was thrown together. Patty was under cooked. Tomato was half green. Loads of lettuce. Bun was squishy and slightly damp like it was in a steamer too long. Seems like an ordinary burger chain. Nothing exceptional. Overall a disappointing visit. Unlikely will visit again. Not Bad... Just Not Memorable Stopped by Habit Burger to give their burgers a try for the first time, and I left feeling pretty underwhelmed. They do have a self-ordering kiosk as well as a counter option -- I personally prefer ordering from a person, so I chose the counter for that human interaction. That part was smooth, and service was fine. I ordered a classic burger, and honestly? It reminded me of something you'd get at Burger King -- very standard, nothing that stood out. It wasn't bad, just... forgettable. I did like that they offer the option to split your sides -- I got half fries and half onion rings, which is a nice touch. But again, nothing special in taste. Both were just okay. The biggest letdown was the milkshake. It looked amazing on the menu, but after I had paid, I was told they were out of the chocolate they needed to actually make it right. So the shake had zero wow factor and didn't come close to the picture. On top of that, it lacked flavor and felt like an afterthought. The highlight? Their salads on the menu board actually looked really fresh and appealing. If I return, it'll be to give those a try. But for burgers and shakes, I'd say this place is maybe one small step up from fast food chains like Burger King or Cook Out -- not quite a standout. First time at a Habit Burger which is a newer business located on the Virginia Beach Blvd. The chain was established in Irvine, CA. The building was previously occupied by Boston Market. The signage is excellent by the road and on the building. Parking on a weekday just before noon was adequate. However, the lot had debris. The walk up was clear of trash. Once you enter you have the option of the kiosk to order, or by staff at the counter. I elected to head to the counter with no line. The menu board is easy to read and is quite expansive. I elected to get the burger voted #1 and made it a combo. The award-winning double burger topped with caramelized onions, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, pickles, and mayo on a toasted bun. I added cheese. It comes with ranch on the side. For a side I got a mix of fries and onion rings. The fountain drinks are self serve Pepsi. The staff person smiled and was friendly. I got a buzzer to get my food. The total was $20+ with a small gratuity. I later found out they do not deliver the food, or bus. She in my opinion they should not have it set up for tips. However, the upfront service was nice. The dining room was pretty empty at around 1130 AM. It ls large and was clean. With all the windows it has great lighting. There is some wall decor. I liked it. It took around 15 minutes to get my food, that's a long time for fast food. I know they are new, so no complaints. The manager that provided the hand off was professional and smiled. By this time there was a line at the door. So let's get to the food. First the side. The fries were lukewarm and no flavor. The onion rings were hot and pretty good. The burger visually looked good. It comes half wrapped. It took me a few bites to come to a final conclusion, and I did not care for it. There was an odd flavor. I don't necessarily think it was the char, but could be wrong. Maybe the toppings were not working for me. In any event the flavor was not positive. This was disappointing, but the burger was absolutely edible and I pushed through. The Doctor Pepper fountain drink was great! This was actually a difficult experience to rate. I felt a 2 star was too harsh, but a 3 might seem like it's ok. I'm really a 2.5, rounding up. As a vegan that can RARELY find a place that has vegan and plant based options, Habit Burger and Grill had my attention when I saw Impossible burger options. Then, I saw a VEGAN burger option and even the option to lettuce wrap a sandwich. And even that isn't what moved me...what moved me to make this my new FAVORITE PLACE is when I asked are plant based/vegan burgers charbroiled on the same grill and they said NO--they have a SEPARATE GRILL!! Walked in they had multiple self service kiosk and they had a person at the front ready to take the order. I opted to do the kiosk when I walk into a new establishment I need time to take a good look at the menu. They had what I'm guessing is their specialty (char burgers) so I decided to get a Double Char Burger with bacon and avocado. 1/2 onion rings 1/2 fries 5 chicken bites, my partner got single char burger with sweet potato fries. Over all the sweet potato fries and onion rings and sauces were on point the regular fries were a bit salty but nothing I couldn't rub off. The burgers weren't pleasing to look at and mine was slightly under cooked the chicken bites were over cooked and I could taste the burnt. I'm sure I could've said something but that's what I know customers don't want to have to say. From what I did eat off my burger was good and fresh. First time visiting and it was very pleasing to the pallete. My husband has been excited about the opening since he saw the sign. He loved the California location. Cool set up. You can either enter your order on a touch screen or have you order taken. On the touch screen I didn't see the option on the combo to do half n half on the side so we had our order taken. The staff was friendly and efficient. Now to the good part.....My fav was the tempura string beans! That with the dipping sauce is sooooo yummy!!! Stopped in for a quick bite before our movie at town center. We ordered from the kiosk and waited a few minutes before our food was ready. I got the charburger meal with cheese and fries. Idk what hubby got. They gave us a lot of fries, which I love. I love fries. The burger was delicious as well. I like how they wrap it for you to make it easier to eat so everything doesn't fall out. We got spicy ranch for our dipping sauce and some peppers from the pepper bar. I love that they have that. I also got a dragonfruit lemonade because it's delicious. Hubby got a sweet tea because that's his jam and he loves it. There weren't many people when we arrived, but they shortly came in after us and the place was busy. Ok so I am person who tries new things and I was hungry and this was on my way into the office so I tired it! It's a burger joint and to their defense I did not try the burger. They had a nice clean waiting area. I ordered the Cobb salad sub crispy chicken and fired green beans. I ate it all so that says a lot but it's was basic. The salad was fresh and crispy but no flavors stood out. I think the ranch dressing is premade it tasted like Kraft ranch which lacks flavor. And the crispy chicken was muted. The green beans were the highlight but they lacked seasonings. The sauce for the green beans was the bland ranch. Maybe add some chipotle seasoning to the ranch to spicy it up for the fried green beans. Also add a little something to the batter it was fried in basic flour batter like the one you get out the box to fry fish in. All and all it was ok, if I were to go back I would definitely get a milkshakes they look delicious and I would try the fries and a burger. I finally came to try them out since they been open last time I looked they didn't have anyone in the parking lot around 1040am but they had a ladder outside the door so I was not going to walk under a ladder to get in. I went in and I see the kiosk table to self order since there was nobody in at 1030am I opt for the counter to order. The employee was very helpful about the app. No points to scan on the app so just email. Place was clean and spacious. i ordered the portabella char combo large with fries I see the Pepsi machine got ice and than I see they had dragonfruit limeade so I got that the dragonfruit was delicious. the portabella was ok. Called customer service and they take your order again, but you have to reorder when going back to the store. Very repetitive. My family tried this place today... These charburgers are not worth what they are charging. You're better off ordering from Hardee's or Burger King. There was nothing special about these burgers to set them apart from other places that are cheaper. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese and only took one bite and said it was horrible. I tried it myself and it tasted like cardboard. The service isn't that spectacular either. No one is welcoming or greeting people with a smile. When we went to pick up our order from the counter they apologized for not having the milkshake we had ordered due to the machine being down.
