There is no doubt that Raising Cane's is a solid choice; the chicken tenders are excellent, the lemonade is perfect, and the fries are always crispy. However, I'm not sure where they get off charging almost $20 for a chicken tenders basket. This is still fast food for the love of the man above. We ordered through the drive thru yesterday and the worker forgot straws. No big deal, right? She sees us, we flag her down to get her attention then she turns around and leans on the window to avoid looking at us. For 15 minutes we sat there waiting for straws. We did not honk, or yell. Canes used to be a nice place where not only the food was great, but used to come along with great friendly and welcoming service...I guess those days are over. Came tonight to enjoy my chicken fingers, but no only the teenagers at the registers are rude without manners, the kitchen staff is no better than them. I kindly told the girl that I had requested to eat here...she gave me this look, and told the line guys to put it in a basket...they made faces as it I was asking for something out of the ordinary...then I was given just the basket...no tray...that's when I realized that every table had their orders in plastic bags...I guess they didn't want to pick up the trays after people dined it. I am a fan of this place. I love, love, love their chicken fingers, crinkle fries and TEXAS TOAST. The toast is always soft and full of all the butter you should avoid at all costs. But most people will tell you that the sauce is the bomb. I wish I could describe the taste of Cane's sauce. But it is something special. The stuff is so good, it is the only sauce they offer. They also offer hot sauce as a condiment. I sometimes add hot sauce to my cane's sauce for extra kick! This place started near LSU campus in Baton Rouge. Cane is the name of a beloved pet. Not sure if the dog belonged to the owner. Fast forward years later and there are several locations nationwide. I almost fainted when I rode past one when living in Boston, MA. This place only sells chicken fingers so if you are a fan of them, this is not the place for you. If you like fingers, I would bet you would become a fan. I remember eating at Raising Cane's for the first time in Biloxi, and it was fantastic! Arriving late at New Orleans anf staying by the aiport, the hotel shuttle driver was kind enough to make a stop here so I have some to eat. This place is open till 1am! First I had to take a shower and get in my PJs to enjoy these chicken in my hotel bed. Sadly the chicken got cold so I didn't really have a wow moment like the first time I tried Cane's but that is my fault. They are still fat beautiful chicken fingers with awesome Cane sauce. Raising Cane's is no secret to anybody in Louisiana. This chain now dots the entire state. And to chicken tender lovers that's a good thing. I'm a big fan of Raising Cane's for several reasons. Regardless of whether you show up at 11 a.m. when they open or four minutes before 11 p.m. when they close every chicken tender always taste the same. They don't cut corners and they don't dish out stuff that's been sitting out too long. It's all made fresh when you order it and you can tell with every bite. We all know that if you come to Raising Cane's you're going to order chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich and we're all okay with that because it's that good especially for fast food. I normally order the three finger because I'm not a fan of coleslaw anyway and it comes with that really good Cane's sauce. My biggest challenge here is whether to order the lemonade or the sweet tea because both of them are awesome. read more

I come to this location once every few weeks, since it is a close option for my lunch break. Every once in a while after a several visits, it seem that's the outside "fried" part isn't usually cooked all the way. You can see some pieces of flour still on the breading on the outside. Not the worst in the world since the chicken is still cooked thoroughly. However, if you have a sensitive tummy like mine it might upset it some. Other than that, 5 stars. read more

The taste itself is somewhat bland, although the sauce is supposed to supply the flavor. I don't like mayo-based sauces, but everyone else seems to like it. Crinkle cut fries are above average and texas toast is pretty darn yummy. And that's about it for the menu. Before leaving Louisiana this week my brothers wanted to try Raising Canes. This being my second visit to a Raising Canes I have to say this was definitely the best visit. We went around lunch time there was a bit of a rush going on, cars everywhere the actual restaurant isn't in an ideal spot it's difficult to gain access to only because there is so much traffic and confusion going on. The line did however move swiftly! We all order chicken fingers and fries they were hot , fresh ! Maybe me being from Alabama makes me say the chicken fingers and fries could have move seasoning but fresh food makes a huge difference for me rather needing extra salt. The drive thru lady's were phenomenal, wearing face mask the entire time everyone we could see had on mask they handle all exchanges in a safe manner and they also gave us stickers "to brighten our day," with it being my birthday I smiled and said stickers for the birthday girl the woman then sang happy birthday to me in the drive thru during their lunch rush. This example of Great Customer Service is why I would definitely go spend my money at this location each time I visit Louisiana. read more

The chicken fingers are so good, the fries are so good (they're similar to shake shack's as they are crinkly), the sweet tea is so good, the Texas toast is so buttery and good. Everything is so good! I first tried Cane's when I moved to LA since they don't have any chains in the Northeast. Boy am I glad that I did! I'm not the biggest fast food eater, but Cane's has quickly become my favorite fast food joint when I want to drown my sorrows in greasy food. The chicken fingers are perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside (I hate that word, but there's no better adjective to describe them), and they aren't too thick (which has been my only qualm with zaxbys). Despite my telling myself I won't return again, due to the chicken tenders not being that moist, I stayed away for a few years then went again thinking I might have gotten a bad batch. That's been 4 years with about 4 different visits at 4 different locations. It's still the least moist chicken tenders of all the other chicken places. I mean DRY. And I see no point in them bragging that they are never frozen. Hello? I bet no one could tell the difference between those that are frozen and those that aren't. I've tried chicken tenders at all the major chicken franchises and venture to say most of theirs are better and moister than these. And I bet the chicken was previously frozen at all of them. How is it that my neck of the woods is not so very lucky with fast food options? Granted, I try to avoid fast food as much as possible, but during days when I am hustling and bustling and simply do not have time to prepare a home-cooked meal, more greasy delicious options are welcome. I have heard so much of Raising Cane's from my local friends, so I was naturally curious. I get it now. Their chicken is good...quite good, in fact. Paired with the amazing sauce, and it could easily be one of the better fast food meals I have had. The employees here seemed amused and patiently waited for us to make up our minds about what to order. Apparently, everyone else who comes here already knows what to order (made evident by the other customers who ordered after us). Our orders were ready a little later than from other fast food joints, but a couple extra minute of waiting is worth it. The chicken was flavorful, the cole slaw was not soggy, and the Texas toast seemed overkill as the meal was good enough for two moderate eaters. Next time I see a Raising Cane's, I would go back. Being born and raised in New Orleans means that I have a hell of a lot of Popeye's-loyalty (and KFC-disdain), but Raising Cane's is something else. When I was growing up, it was a treat reserved for trips to the Mall of America (though never enough of a lure to make me really enjoy Baton Rouge). Since moving back after living away for college and med school I've been DELIGHTED by the number of Cane's popping up. Sure, you've gotta make the trek to Metairie or Kenner or Elmwood, but on a drive back from the airport? Why not? While Cane's crispy skin will never beat Popeye's head-to-head, sometimes you just need a good tender and some Cane sauce. As long as they keep doing what they're doing, I'll continue to tempted to make dedicated trips to the desolate NOLA-suburbia (and that's saying a lot coming from me!) read more

This was my first time at Canes and I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter saw one when we left downtown and I suggested we go there if one was close to where we were staying. I have no problem with the taste of the food, but Cane's is not cheap, and every time I go there the chicken strips get smaller and smaller. Last visit I needed a magnifying glass to see the chicken.
