This could be a great burger but it's just good. It has potential. Here is why: 1st, the finely grated bag cheese. It needs a slice of cheese, not grated. 2nd, if you didn't have to pay 75 cents more for onion that should come on a burger described as "the works burger". 3rd, it needs a little more seasoning. Some basic salt and pepper would heighten the flavor for sure. The drive through is tight. It's a challenge to get out back onto the street. The server was nice. Not over the top nice but not rude. The wife & I decided to give this place a shot. The inside of the place leaves something to be desired. I was a little hesitant to try it after walking in. It's a whole-in-the-wall, greasy, old school hamburger joint. The service was great. There was one guy taking orders inside & thru drive thru, bring food out and cleaning up. He had great customer service. My wife got the original with onion rings and I got the works with cheese fries. The burgers were very good. Really liked the shredded cheddar cheese vs sliced. Well I am looking for lunch, view from the window reveals Lee's Hamburger stand. Checked reviews and this is a local favorite, gotta try that. A few attempts to get a parking spot and looping the crowded block at noon was adventuresome. Finally landed and went inside, cool little spot. Placed my order, an expensive burger, fry, shake lunch, makes 5 Guys seem reasonable. Food was good, the burger had shredded cheddar, kinda had a taco feel to it. Not bad, just not what I was expecting and not my personal favorite. Fries were perfectly cooked and shake was a hand made ice cream and syrup concoction that was fabulous. Would go back just for the shake, like I would make at home, but for the 6 and a half bucks I could have made a pitcher of these and had money and ice cream left over. Nice change of pace for a fairly common lunch order but a little out of my range for a daily stop. read more

Tried Lee's for the first time last week. It was good but lacking a bit. The place is nice and clean and the staff was really friendly. My only complaint, we'll okay two complaints, is the burger patty needed seasoning big time, pretty bland. The second is the parking, supper tight fit. Although I do drive a full sized truck. Your food is awesome but I rec'd the wrong order from door dash. When I tried to resolve the issue with door dash they wanted a picture of the food or receipt. I don't have a smartphone and I don't know how to do this. I told them to deliver the right order and they can have the wrong one back. Lee's on Vets has always been good and consistent! Even though the prices have gone up a little, the burgers are bigger, and they are now serving the fries in a cup like Five Guys. I have been coming to this location for well over ten years and have always been pleased by the food and service except for last night. The manager was very grumpy, irritable, and rude. When I had to pay for my food, he angrily shoved the card reader across the counter to me. I asked what time the restaurant closed and he snapped back at me what the closing time was. I would have told him I was leaving if I haven't already paid. The food was excellent as usual but when I was refilling my drink before leaving, I still thanked the manager even though he had been rude to me. This was our first time trying Lee's Hamburgers. We must say .. we will not be back. We ordered a burger with cheese, ketchup, & bacon only. While ordering the burger we were not aware of onions being cooked directly on the burger. After purchasing and sitting down to enjoy, we notified the host and she advised that's how their made. So what if you allergic to onion??? That just didn't make any sense. Also, they use shredded cheese, which is not so great on a burger. Sliced cheese is the best as far as flavor and texture. The fries had no seasoning (no salt or anything) The onion rings also has no season & poorly battered. This place also made me sick hours later.
