Okay I have been here way too many times than I'd like to admit! Once they got a restaurant I knew they would do amazing! I frequented Oppa's when they were a pop up and the quality has stayed the same! The service is always great and the staff are always so kind! This is the best Korean Fried Chicken IMO. There's not many KFC places here besides 2 and this is definitely the better one. It's a more authentic version and does not disappoint. The vibe is casual but cool in here if you decide to eat in! I thought the chicken was fried well, but the spice levels can go higher and it didn't really taste that spicy to me. We got the Kombo #5 which is 5 tenders fries and large drink, added 1 tender, and upgraded our meal $5 more to get the bulgogi fries instead of plain. We tried three different flavors for our tenders: Honey Lemon Pepper (me and my boyfriends FAV), Spicy Korean (wasn't really spicy nor flavorful to us), and Hot Honey Glaze (tastes as expected really). Next time we'd go back for the Honey Lemon Pepper and try the other flavors they had. My boyfriend said the Bulgogi fries were amazinggggg and honestly a meal in it of itself. Staff were SUPER helpful and accommodating (3 flavors 6 tenders) and I can only assume the owner or manger told us about the $5 up charge to get the Bulgogi fries instead of paying an extra $10 something to get it. I had high hopes for Oppa KFC but it falls flat of being truly great. Their menu is very simple which is usually a good thing, but the flavors aren't that great. We got the family plan, which gives an opportunity to have one of each of the flavors. This also comes with four drinks and one of each of their fries (bulgogi and regular). The fries were very soggy and needed to be cooked a little longer. Fries pretty generic. Since the flavors aren't anything special, I would have much gather have a plain version with Korean spices similar to what you get at other KFC establishments like k.bbq. The amount of Daikon given is laughable. A tiny little cup of daikon. For the price it isn't worth it. Store is very small as it has taken over the store front that Wishing Town was in. There's a little bit of seating but not too much. I'm sad. I wanted this place to be good but it is just not that good. Would I eat here again? Maybe. Even though the place was busy it did not take very long for us to get our to-go order. The place is small with few tables inside and a couple of tables outside. Our order was the Double Kombo, as recommended by the friendly cashier, which included 12 pieces of wings, 2 fountain drinks, 2 daikon, 2 sauces and fries. Instead of regular fries we added the Bulgogi fries. Unfortunately, they forgot to double on the daikon and the sauce. We did half of our wings in Spicy Korean and the other half in Honey Garlic. The Spicy Korean is not spicy and the Honey Garlic did not have much of a garlic taste. The flavors were not bold but I did like the texture of the batter they use. We did not use the sauce because it didn't add any additional flavor to our food and I am not sure of what the intended flavor is supposed to be because I can not describe it as sweet or spicy, perhaps more of a mayo, mustard and ketchup mix. For a fried chicken place, ironically the fries were the best thing we ordered. You can tell the quality of the chicken was poor with the tough skin and thick layer of fat. The batter was "crunchy," but I think this is due to it being so thick. Also, the insides of the chicken were questionably pink. There was also a burnt aftertaste, so the oil was a little overdue for change. I felt like the chicken sauces were overly thickened in an unappealing way. They ran out of daikon but subbed for extra sauce (not sure what to do with four sauces), but I don't think the daikon was going to save the chicken. A few pieces were fried dark and others pieces lightly fried . One tender had an old fry that was probably in the fryer from who knows when. The fries were soggy. My kimchi was not good. It tasted like it had been sitting the heat. ( Yes I've had kimchi before. The fries are pretty average and not the crispier but the Oppa sauce does kick up the flavor. The staff is super friendly and interactive with guests. They play some of their more traditional games, like those you would on the popular Netflix series Squid Games. It is a loud environment depending on the guests you have there and time of day you arrive. I love the dark black walls and ambient lighting especially if I'm trying to relax and eat alone. There was a decent crowd coming in and out so seating is very limited. They have about two tables outside and a few tables inside. I went to Oppa KFC today. Wings ARE good - taste and quality I skipped any sides I'll say it below. I'm not sure how $11.95 for 6 wings is justifiable I'm not sure that $5 for fries (50%) the price of the wings is justifiable 12 wings would have been $20!!! That's just ridiculous. So figure if you get 6 wings, fries, kimchi sauce (1) and IF you get a drink $3.50 11.95 + 5.00+1.25+ 3.50 That's $21.70 Now imagine if you were buying for 2! At that price you can get a lot more with service. That's a bit steep for what the food is. BUT I suppose a lot of people are used to overpaying. It is a tasty wing but pricing needs some realistic adjustments. I personally will not be going back based on pricing alone. If they want continuous higher volume patronage, consider a better pricing structure. I left hungry. read more

The Soy Garlic honestly tasted like it was a Honey Garlic, even though we did not order that option, and the Spicy Korean was a mild Gochujang flavor. Although we understand that korean fried chicken is a "double fry" concept, we felt that the batter on the chicken was very thick or even hard to bite into, along with it already being kind of greasy. The fries that came in the combo was also kind of greasy and lacked salt. Our total was around $36, which we felt like was not really worth it. On the other hand, I feel like their flavors, along with the chicken itself, were pretty good! I tried them a long time ago at Nola Nite Market, and I was impressed of how different it tasted! Added the kimchi ranch on the side too. Can't say enough about the quality of food, it was incredible.
