Super tasty fresh chicken and fries...oh and their bread and coleslaw....all I can say is "Yum!" You will be happy you stopped in! I have never been to a Canes that was so crowded. I could tell by the huge line last night that Raising Canes in Yuma finally opened. So just before lunchtime today we waited 40 minutes in the drive thru lanes to try out thier delish morsels. The customer service (directing traffic, taking orders and handing out the food) were superb. Of course, everything's a horse-and-pony show around the grand opening but nevertheless...! We ordered Box Combos consisting of four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries Texas toast, coleslaw a Cane's sauce and a drink. Military discount upon verification as well. Everything tasted as it should and it was prepared nicely and handed to us with a smile. We shall return. Well the food is mostly always fresh but they keep raising prices here in Yuma pardon the pun! When they came here just 2 or so years ago it was madness with the lines. They established a great following but then they started with the price hikes. For example the caniac was around 12 bucks and it was well worth the prices! When I pulled up to Cane's tonight I was greeted by Alex who had an upbeat attitude from the very beginning. "Hey what's kicken how bout some chicken! " That made me chuckle. He made some adjustments to my order so I wouldn't have coleslaw (sorry not a fan) and could get toast in its place. I think the toast and fries are very good here as well as the chicken fingers but you have to get the cane's sauce with them. When I pulled up to the window I asked for a manager which I think worries everyone but I reassured them it wasn't a complaint. I let them know that I always believed that great customer service should be acknowledged and told him about my conversation with Alex. The manager told me he was just a high school kid at 17 so whoever is Alex's parents you did a wonderful job raising him because it is RARE to see such an upbeat great attitude from a teen at work. Was driving to San Diego and stopped in Yuma for gas and food. Since we were in a hurry we went to Canes instead of Chick-fil-a. Worst mistake. Do NOT go here. 1. They want to be like Chick-fil-a by having a girl with a tablet outside taking orders however they need to look at why CF is successful with this method. They tried to imitate CF without really understanding their full end to end process and this is NOT efficient for the customers. The wait time was over 10 mins per car! She stood in a weird place that didnt allow many cars in line so we are forced to wait in the parking lot...couldnt see any menus prior to pulling all the way forward...I asked why are you not using the drive through as designed and her reply was my manager wants me outside - MANAGER UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND CANES END TO END PROCESSES DON'T TRY TO REPLICATE WHAT CF IS DOING ! The customers are not happy with 10 min wait times per car. This added 40 mins to my trip - just waiting in your inefficient line run by teenagers! 2. The girl didnt ask us if we wanted any sauces or ketchup so when we picked up our food we ask for honey mustard and ketchup. We were told you have to pay extra for those items - WHAT??? That should be told when you are ordering so you can pay for it in advance. 3. The girls attitude at the drive up window was terrible. She was rude and yelled at us for asking for additional dipping sauces - again who knew ketchup and honey mustard is extra - its not at Chick-Fil-A 4. Was in recently, a person who appeared homeless came in during a storm to buy a drink, he had cash. The clerk gave them a water cup and told him to help himself to whatever drink he would like. He got a soda. Just a minute later a manager storms into the lobby and accuses the man of stealing for getting soda with a water cup, kicks him out, locks the door behind him and calls 911 on him. The fries are usually spot on. They have been over cooked on one occasion. The toast is my absolute favorite. The staff have always been friendly and upbeat and willing to accommodate.
