We found Bob's Sharp All in the yellow pages and gave them a try and we were very glad that we did! Initially, we spoke with Jane on the phone and she was very responsive to our phone calls and answered all our questions. When we went up to visit later that day (a short 50 minutes north of Manchester), we met Walter who was knowledgeable about nearly every kind of blade imaginable and we were further impressed. Clearly marked on the left side of the road about 4 1/2 miles from 93, the place is well-marked and very easy to locate. Their price list features everything from scissors and knives, circular blades and woodworking tools to lawn & garden stuff -- all at amazingly reasonable prices! Note to the pond hockey enthusiasts: they sharpen ice skates, too -- WICKED sharp!! Turn-around time is excellent also -- we dropped our blade off on Friday and will have it back on Monday. Can't wait to get it back and update this review! Btw, we are in NO way affiliated with, nor do we receive compensation from Bob's Sharp All for this review. We were just truly impressed!

I went next door to Woodbelly Pizza to grab a bite while my knife was sharpened. It was recommended by Rocket Leathercraft, good choice. When I returned I was just in time to see my previously EXTREMELY dull knife being tested. It's nice that it's so packed with variety I guess, but no one ever knows where anything specifically is when I'm asking them, and it seems like it's not very thoughtfully curated by whoever is ordering everything (some things are obviously the "good" brand of things, while others seem like they came from the Oriental Trading Company catalog.) Seems like it's designed just for browsing and impulse-buying of Le Creuset teacups rather than to service people at home actually experimenting with and (trying to!) make creative food on the reg for their families.
