As expected, we received wonderful customer service in the show room and were able to find just what we needed and in the budget we had to work with. It wasn't until we had to deal with the service end of the organization that we were reminded of their short comings. We have had three opportunities to interface with scheduling appointments with the service department (assessment of the old appliance, delivery of the new appliances, and a service call for a warranty repair). My disappointment comes in not the service or delivery but the scheduling. This last transaction is what prompted me to write a review. When scheduling the warranty repair, I asked if I could get a preference for an "AM" or "PM" slot in the schedule. I was informed that I would be called the day before the scheduled day of work and "given" a time range. When I explained it wasn't convenient to not know ahead of that call to plan my absence at work, I was lectured on the intricacies of their scheduling challenges. Of course being the "women that I am", I just had to push back and defend that as a working person it was inconvenient to have to take an entire day off of work for this visit and that even the cable company (and we all know the horror stories about cable companies) give their costumers a 4 hour window...come on, can't I at least only have to take a half a day off???? The woman on the phone would not concede. Ok, maybe I was pushing back a bit too hard, after all we are both working class stiffs and she is only doing her job.....Ah, but I long for the days of yester-year when the costumer was always right. I'm not so dumb as to think I am always right, but boy one would think my loyalty (thousands of dollars) warrants some sympathy from them in the way of a statement like...."I'm so sorry we can't accommodate you better, but my hands are tied by company policy"......is that too much to ask?

I've always used Robert's Laundromat and the car wash and have spent a lot of money here over time…read more Recently, I was using the change machine to get quarters when a woman who appeared to possibly be an employee stopped me and told me it was "rude" to get quarters. I was honestly shocked. I wasn't doing anything inappropriate -- just using the machine that's there for customers. As someone who has supported this business regularly, I don't see why using the change machine should be an issue. The interaction made me feel uncomfortable and like I had done something wrong when I hadn't. Because of this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere. Unfortunately, I won't be recommending this place to others after how this situation made me feel.

The cleaners were there for one hour, and I was given a bill for $180, which matched our agreement. Three days later, I discovered that my credit card had been charged $240 instead. When I contacted the owner, he told me they had undercharged me. I explained that the team was there for the agreed-upon hour and that I had a bill showing the $180 charge. His response was that he didn't know why his employee had given me that bill because he handles the invoicing. Frankly, that is an internal issue that should be resolved within the company, not passed on to the customer. It was disappointing to hear an employee blamed for the discrepancy, and even more concerning that an additional charge was made to my credit card without my authorization or prior discussion. I even offered a reasonable compromise of applying the difference as a credit toward a future cleaning because I had planned to use the company again. Unfortunately, that was not accepted. The cleaning team earned four stars. The owner's handling of the billing issue earned one. Customers should be able to trust that the agreed-upon price is the price they will be charged.
