I do not feel that this had to be an in-person appointment if I was going to be told I could go to "whoever" for an OMFS. Instead of being given a name, phone number or a referral... I was quickly shown the homepage of a website, and then told the cost for the appointment. I understand that is not everyone's experience, but this was mine, and now it is a battle of who can provide me a referral for the care I need. The physician I saw stated they didn't do referrals, and I could get that from the original referring physician who referred me to the Dallas Ear Institute. I don't know what the next step is now, and if I just need to spend more money (making another appointment with them) to get a referral. I just wish they wouldn't take advantage of patients finances and time.
