Considering the hotel it was in. The food was very delicious, hottt!!!! But worth it!! I would recommend going there once they get the ac fixed. But do not stay at hotel. Server was very friendly and they wasn't busy at all. so my food came out fast. Luckily because I was ready to eat read more

I came here with my son. We ordered a few items on the menu to try a variety of dishes. Total cost was $40 for two. 1) Shahi Paneer: Flavorless and small serving. I would not order again. 2) Dosa: What in the world is this? This was dry, flavorless, and served at room temperature. I've eaten dosa my entire life, and this was literally the worst I've ever seen. The chutneys were very good and flavorful though. 3) Puri: Served room temperature. Thick fried dough. No puffed out. Not flaky. Just thick and oily. 4) Butter Naan: more like a stale naan cracker. Also served room temperature. I suspect they had everything just cooked and waiting to be ordered. 5) Lassi: It was so bad I couldn't finish this drink I would avoid this place at all times. It is an embarrassment to South Indian cooking. The service: We walked in and there wasn't a single customer or employee in sight. We had to knock on the kitchen door. This should have been my first clue. I created this post to warn others of my experience. Feel free to try yourself and form your own opinions. read more

New Paradise has been my go-to Indian restaurant in Wichita for a while now. While not perfect,…read morethey're pretty consistent and I've never had a bad meal. I'm told their biryani is excellent, but I adore their tikka and always recommend new diners try the veggie or meat curry combos that are toward the back of the menu. While the combos are more expensive and generously portioned almost to a fault, it's the best way to try several entrees at once. Be prepared to wait a bit for it on busier nights, but it's worth it! Ambience is clean but kind of what you'd expect for an older strip-mall Indian place. You go to New Paradise to eat a lot of good food and everything else is secondary. There's a large table for 8 in the corner by the big tv, booths along one wall and 2-4 person tables in the center. The big tv is usually on, blasting Bollywood music videos, but they turn it down if you ask. I also hear good things about their weekend buffet, but I haven't made it in yet. It's on my to-do list! This restaurant is about as far away from my Westside home as you can get, but I'll always jump at the chance to go to the east side to visit New Paradise Biryani Pointe. If you know anything about Wichita and how much Westsiders hate going east, this is pretty big praise! Definitely recommend.

I drove about 20 minutes to pick up this food, and by the time I got home, I was very disappointed because I could not properly eat the meal. When I contacted the restaurant, the response was not helpful. I was told that next time I come in, I could get extra complimentary rice. That does not really fix the issue because I was hungry at that moment and had already paid for the meal. If I had been told that rice was unavailable or not included, I would have ordered extra naan instead. I understand mistakes can happen, but the way this was handled was disappointing. I hope the restaurant improves both the food quality and customer service response in situations like this.
