This is one of those places 5 stars isn't enough. Unassuming and out of the way, find this place and you'll return. All photos are mine and everything was exceptional. Lumping was on spot and I've lived in the PI. Pineapple in the fried rice was fresh cut, not canned. Pad Thai was some of the best I've had. Dinner for 3 was $60. What???? I had just been ripped off by firehouse subs $38 for 3 sandwiches S, M, & L that were bad. Just $60 for this wonderful meal! I will be back when in Wichita. read more

Dollar-for-dollar the best food, the best people, and the best raw energy of any restaurant in town, Asian or otherwise. Knowledgable staff for vegan and gluten-free options; I mentioned I had a severe allergy and they were accommodating beyond my wildest expectations. I also really love the whole vibe of the place; incredibly vintage global-village type restaurant, flowers and white tablecloths in the year of our lord 2026! I pray they never update their style because it's immaculate. Three courses under 40 dollars before your assuredly generous tip, because you're guaranteed wonderful service. The food and the ambience is always great. The servers not so much. There is a middle aged lady server (she could be the owner idk), she's amazing and very conversational. Then there's the other servers who barely check up on you and take forever to refill your waters. The servers are the only factor taking away a star. Otherwise everything else is great!! The first time I went here I thought it was excellent. I ordered two yellow curry's hot and boy was it spicy. Decided to go back for the same order a couple days later they overcharged me $8 more than just two days before and the food was so bland with no spice at all, I will not be coming back very disappointing to say the least. Tip: Call ahead!!! They are usually busy and the wait will be long (it's so worth it though) Fantastic service and delicious food! It's a family-owned Thai restaurant and we were waited on by the OG man himself. We started out with the Tiger Beef and Shrimp Cakes (recommended) and both were so good. We finished off the plates so quickly, and they were just the right amount to not get us too full for our entrées. I was craving Pad Thai so bad, and theirs just hit the spot. We also got the Red Curry Duck (but with chicken since they were out of duck) and the broth was amazing. The bamboo shoots and coconut milk warmed us up. I could've had another bowl of it. I read many great reviews of this restaurant. They are either old or by friends and family of the restaurant. I love Thai food. This was absolutely the worst I have ever had. My wife's came out with refrigerator cold vegetables. Mine was extremely bland. I said something and our waitress brought me some spices. They were the best thing about the meal other than being with my wife. My chicken and beef slices were so tough I gave up on chewing through them and ate the vegetables. They remade my wife's dish. By remade I mean microwaved and dumped it back on the plate. Not good at all. Except our waitress, she was excellent. DON'T waste your money or time here. read more

Normally good, but my last experience was terrible. I ordered Pad Thai as takeout. It wasn't ready and no one seemed to know where my order was. I got home with the noodles and the dish was burned. The whole dish had flecks of char. I would be embarrassed to send the dish out of my restaurant. Besides being burned, it was not the delicious pad Thai that I normally enjoy at Thai Traditions. My favorite Thai restaurant in Wichita, KS! The wife and I would come here all the time for their lunch specials when we were in college. They have the best hot and sour soup! The owners are super nice and the staff always provide excellent service. I always order one of their stir fry dishes or a curry dish. It never disappoints! During our most recent visit, the wife and I came on a Friday during lunch. I ordered the red curry with chicken and the wife ordered a ginger stir fry with chicken. I love how they give you a crab rangoon, a shrimp chip, and a soup with your lunch. All for around $8! Can't beat that. It brought back memories of our college days. This place will always have a special place in our hearts! If you live in Wichita or just visiting, I highly recommend giving this place a try if you love Thai food. My husband always orders fried rice, so if you are not looking for something creative you can keep it simple and enjoy something simple. I usually go for the drunken noodles, so good! They have a lot of other options, which I have also enjoyed, but these noodles are just so good. I always ask for the spice rack also to add a kick to my meal. Thai Tradition was a below average experience solely because of the lack of attention that they show their customers. My party wasn't seated for around 20-25 minutes while they weren't even that crowded and three different hosts asked if we had been helped yet nothing was done. As we got our water poured we placed our order right away because we feared we working see our waiter again which was true. We forgot to place an order of an appetizer and were going to flag our waiter down but didn't see him until all our entrees had been delivered about 20 minutes later. The entire time we had to practically beg to get our waters refilled and another waiter had to pay us out because once again our waiter disappeared. This was not a problem that we alone faced, other customers were getting neglected as well. I saw a family get seated and didn't even get glasses on their tables for water and had to ask for them. These are simple things but necessary if you are going to run a restaurant. read more
