I've used Steven twice now for junk removal and words can't explain the great experience. Him and his wife were so polite and fast. I had what I thought would be a whole truck loaf but because of the experience he has he was able to fit it in and not charge me for a full truck load. Look at the pictures. I've known Ann for over a year from a Christian networking group. She is so energetic and positive, I thought my wife and I really needed to have Ann put her energy to work on our home. Our house had not been deep cleaned in several months. We had to leave for an appointment when Ann started cleaning. My folks tend to drop stuff at my house they don't want and piled on top of endless amazon orders, I wind up with half a garage full of crap that I don't have the time or capacity to sort through/ sell/ donate/ take to the recycling center. Rakers arrived on time and I was impressed with the attention given to detail while cleaning. That part of the transaction was satisfactory, however, the rating of 3 given in this review is a reflection of the overall experience. Rakers originally quoted $100 for every 1,000 square feet of cleaning during the initial call. The follow-up conversation to finalize the date and time for the service resulted in a price increase. The new price was $180 for 1 full bedroom with bathroom; hallway; living room and a 1/2 bathroom in a foyer (less than 1,000 sq.ft). When Rakers arrived I was told that there was a discussion about cleaning the microwave in the kitchen and to contact my mother, the owner of the home, about doing a deep clean and paying an additional $20. My mother agreed. Near the end of the cleaning, I was asked to contact my mother again about deep cleaning an area in one of the bathrooms for another $20. To that, my mother also agreed. In the end, the pricing structure represented quite a bit of haggle on Rakers part. The cost wasn't the issue as much as the change in cost continued to be a consistent theme in the transaction. My best suggestion in the future is to offer an estimate that reflects having done a visual inspection of the requested spaces to be cleaned and then give one price consistent with the labor required to do the work. read more
