I got a burrito at least once a week and my wife would once in a while pick up a torta and my burrito. My last visit was about 3 weeks ago and I was given 1 red sauce and one green-I ask to exchange the green for a 2nd red. The man told me -they were out. Ok. Worse -later a lady came in for a pick up order and ask for extra red sauces -same guy gave her 3 extra red sauces! Ok-now I am angry! I threw away my food -left and vowed I will never return. Why? 100% meets expectations for a hole in the wall. Kind of grungy and grubby but the food was great and appropriately priced. I was able to cobble together a vegan burrito with the ingredients available which was satisfied my hunger. The burrito was ready in no time and the service was great. This place has good food! I love the beans and tortilla chips, and the asada plate is really good. The tortillas you get are huge and warm every time. You do sometimes have to wait a little bit--one time we called ahead but they didn't ring in the order till we got there, and one time they gave us the wrong entree. Our favorite Mexican in Flagstaff! We stop here everytime I visit my friend at NAU. Being from San Diego this is taco shop mexican how I grew up, none fo that Tex mex nonsense. Can't speak to anything aside from the Rolled Tacos W/ Guacamole and the breakfast burritos becauSe that's all we ever order. I live down the street from this place and rarely come in. The last couple of times I've been in the food has been good, but the service is not so great. I usually come here for the breakfast burritos but usually have to wait 20-30 mins. Today I came in with high hopes and in a happy mood, only to be disappointed. I ordered menudo and rolled tacos. We specifically ordered the guac to be put as a side order, due to allergies. Nope. The guac covered each taco. But that wasn't the down part of the dish. The taco was 10% meat and 90% flour tortilla. All I could taste was tortilla and guac. As for the menudo, half the to go cup was gone. There was more juice than tripe and hominy. Disappointment. I LOVE the food at Ralbertos. I tell EVERYONE I know about it. On March 25, 2020, though, I was dissappointed. Myself and 3 other coworkers placed an order and drove 10 miles to pick it up, due to current " take out only " policies " ( per the city and county COVID_!( restrictions ). # of us were very satisfied, but one of my coworkers ordered a beef burrito. There were bell peppers and rice, but there was not even a pinch between your fingers of beef in the burrito. I am not exaggerating. There was NO beef in this burrito. Is this RalBertos or RalVertos? The sign outside is the same, so are the bright yellow interiors, the menu, the hours, the prices... I guess the quality of the food is what sets them apart. A head-to-head, Yay! That's tough too. Boo! Example, the carnitas burrito here has a bit more veg, less meat and crispier pork than Ralbertos. Impossible to declare a winner because that crispyness is so good. Let's go with the adobado - good spicing on both, equal portioning but wait... what's this? a bit of gristle? Because of that, and the fact that I have to declare a winner, and that Ralvertos is a little more "dive-y" than Ralbertos, I'll give the latter the edge by a star. I'm addicted to both and will keep going to both so I imagine there will be updates to this review in the future. read more

I purchased take out from the store on Lake blvd. in Redding about six times. Last week I picked up an order to go and it was placed into a large bag I asked if my order was complete and was assured by the lady at the counter that it was. When I got home and untied the bag I discovered that my order was short to the tune of $10.00 worth of food. The next day I drove back with my receipt and explained to another lady who was working the counter that I was overcharged and my order was short. She spoke to the cook and they refused to make it right and he was rude. The food isn't that great but these people are crooks and I will never order from Ralberto's again. There has been two seperate times that I've gone to Ralbertos where they tell me one price and then charge me a dollar more without me noticing until after I leave. Two of my friends have also experienced this sneaky trick so I usually avoid this branch of Ralberto's and go to the other one on Milton. The food at this restaurant is decent, in fact I order this style mexican food quite often I just usually prefer to go to Tacos los Altos or the other Ralbertos on Milton because of the sneaky cashier. I can't believe I actually paid for food this bad. I ordered cheese enchiladas. That's easy enough, right? Apparently not, because the cheese inside of my enchiladas wasn't even melted, and I have no clue what was wrong with the enchilada sauce but it was so salty that it rendered the entire dish inedible. The rice was overcooked and mushy. I couldn't finish my meal, and I was hungry. I'm not a picky eater, either. Seriously, how do you mess up cheese enchiladas this spectacularly?
