Food was really good here. Waitress was so nice too! They sat our party of 8 in 15 minutes. Food came out pretty quickly. Green chili enchiladas were my favorite. Beef taco was good. 1st in line n waited 25 minutes. We watched the list, they seated parties bigger than ours. When I asked numerous times, the hostess said the bigger parties reserved. I said I thought LaFondas dont take reservations. Then we were asked to wait outside. Worst experience. We spend so much money there, then we get ignored. We stayed at the front, but they chose who would be seated first. I guess LaFondas takes reservations and not sure why we got ignored they they should follow their own rules. Fajitas have too many bell peppers, not enough meat. I've had many fajitas at different places, and usually the meat is grilled not, soft and soggy. They serve it with corn tortillas. I'm used to having it served with flour tortillas. The Mexican Oregano tomato like salsa taste bad, at least it's not as salty as it used to be 10 years ago. I would suggest ordering shredded beef tacos, instead of ground beef tacos. The ground beef taste awful, has some kind of seasoning its a bit off-tasting. I'm happy about the iced tea. It's fresh and I think they changed the brand which is awesome. The male servers are absolutely awesome, the woman have a bit of an attitude, not professional. I've came here quite a few times through the years, their green chili is never consistent. I really can't tell between the red and green chili sometimes the color and taste is not consistent. I was so happy when they made it super spicy and the next time I came back I didn't even have like a chili flavor is more like gravy, I can't tell if they use beef or pork for their chili because it's not consistent in the color or flavor. The only thing that they're consistent about is that nasty tasting salsa that they have; sort of taste like a Italian salsa or something. I think it has too much Mexican oregano or cream or something in there. Off tasting. Sometimes the red and green is brown, gray and sometimes that's a little bit thinner which is awesome because there are days when I had tried it and it's real thick gravy so doesn't spread well on fries so its sits on top like super thick gravy, you eat it dry-clumpy, has a pudding consistency. I wouldn't suggest it for a person who has issues with texture. It would be perfect if it was a little bit thinner consistency to spread over the fries nicely, and sometimes the fries are still a little bit on the underdone side, it's never crispy. I'm used to having fries that are crisp not soft/limpy. I can say that the chile has gotten better over the 25 years, not the salsa. read more

We ordered Sopapillas with butter, chips and salsa with queso for appetizers, and they were great. I had a 3 item combo with Carne Asada taco, Shredded beef taco, Bean tostada, and beans. Was all very delicious. Wife had Carne tacos with beans and she enjoyed it. Service was very fast. Within 5 min of receiving the appetizers our entrees came out. Food used to taste good and I was happy to bring family here. This visit yesterday made me ill. Something is wrong with the chili renos. I had a bite and it tasted sour, I informed the server and she said they made it this morning well someone could have missed up the recipe and they are still serving it. I told her to take it off, that I did not want it. They did but after leaving I felt sick the whole day and had some issues.
