When I picked up my dog at the end of the trip, he looked not himself -- instead of cheerfully greeting me, he seemed slow and not even been able to focus on anything. When we got home, he was lying on the floor started panting. The panting got worse and he coughed very bad throughout the day. I had to take him to the vet the next day, spent $200+ dollars for the vet visit. I had no idea how he was treated during the stay at Pooch Pad but I would never ever take my baby back there!

I can give your pet medicine, (and if a drop-in visit at your home) I can water plants/take your trash to the street/get your mail/bring in packages/etc. My home is clean, I send pictures and give frequent updates. Drop-in visits (in your home) & potty walks start at $15-$20 a visit and/or walk. Drop off pet daycare (in my home), while you work during the day, starts at $40 a day, for a dog. Cats and other pets are at lower rate. Drop off pet boarding (in my home daytime and overnight combined) are $50-$55 a full day, again this is the dog rate. Our dogs have current Bordetella and Lepto vaccinations and are not regularly exposed to other dogs, but we were told their current Bordetella still wasn't sufficient because it had not been administered within six months. Most concerning was having to advocate for an exception for our nearly 14-year-old Maltese, who is in heart failure, rather than unnecessarily putting her through additional treatment simply to satisfy a grooming policy. I understand businesses establishing health and safety requirements, but changing/enforcing requirements with less than 24 hours' notice--particularly when veterinary care is involved--is unreasonable. After many years as customers, we'll be seeking grooming services elsewhere.

They never, within 45 days, had an opening. I was told they were getting such a demand that they have to turn away regulars. When you set up a profile, you fill in important info about this and that. It's mostly easy. I did so, preparing for a getaway about a month and a half later. My puppy Angel wasn't spayed at the time. By the check-in date, she was spayed. I took her to the facility, signed her up, provided a bag of food I bought, and went on my trip. The website says they'll send you pics of your dog in activity. Two days into my vacation, no pics. I called, no answer, so I left a message. I was eventually texted back with them saying I hadn't signed up for it. Okay, my fault. Keep in mind, you have to sign up for this. Then I found out she wasn't playing with the other dogs because they had assumed she wasn't spayed. Again, I had no idea about this, but you have to take it upon yourself to update ALL information in the profile, as the staff operate off that. So...after finally getting someone on the phone, I had the profile updated and Angel was clear to play with other dogs. The pics they sent me were 4 blurry, hastily taken photos of Angel and another dog in the lobby. Nothing of her taking action in the play area or anything. And no photos of her playing the next day. While the woman who contacted me was great and literally went above and beyond in trying to please, the results weren't satisfactory. It's a good place - don't get me wrong. But they tell you almost nothing, the website features seem neglected, the pics weren't good and communication is tough to come by. A.
