I've been coming here for years because this is the closest grocery store to my house, and for the most part, they're pretty good. The produce is almost always fresh, and since the Krispy Kreme closed down the Raley's bakery has been my favorite place for doughnuts. They're a bit higher-class than the other grocery stores. However, the customer service here is really a crapshoot, and it has only gotten worse in the last few years. Some of the cashiers are friendly and accommodating, and others only say what is required to get the transaction done and glare at you like you insulted their mother. Some of the people with the worst attitudes have been working there for years, so it looks like management doesn't really care whether the cashiers are nice or not. It really is a shame since it's such a convenient location, but it's not likely the service is going to improve anytime soon, if ever. read more

Not a cheap market but it has a respectable deli counter (fresh made sushi) and solid beer selection. They recently improved the landscaping and the exterior of the store looks better. This is where I shop for one off's and the occasional week of groceries. The produce always seems fresh but the prices are closer to Whole Foods than Trader Joes. Though not saying much, it's the best market in the west Reno area. read more

Discrimination from two employees. Started shopping since moving into the neighborhood about 6 weeks ago. We shop almost daily and my huband does most of the runs to the store. The first time we shopped here the heavy security guard followed us around the store (okay maybe a coincidence and we made a purchase). Then another time the shorter Italian guy (in the store today on 9/18/20 at 8 pm) followed us around the store as if we are going to steal something. (coindence again?). About a weeks ago, we went for a beer run and I waited in the car and my husband went in and came out pissed and bewildered and told me a tall employee with a ponytail and the short Italian guy followed him around the store and down every aisle....again as if he was a thief (purchase made,...3rd time a coincidence again??) made. Today (9/18) both the tall guy with the ponytail and the Italian guy eyed us up again and are not welcoming and always acting suspiously and following us around (4th time a coincidence again???). The guy with the ponytail left his checkstand and came to our checkstand as we were checking out and whispered in our cashiers ears and was investigating everything in our cart. I've had it and will be calling corporate on Monday. They don't follow anyone else around the store that I can tell. I've worked in the grocey field and know when Loss Prevention follows people around. We are professional well paid, well educated, clean cut people who happen to be from different races. All I can say is that these two individiuals have a probelm with us...it is race? Definitely discrimintory behavior from those two!!!! read more

I hate going to Raleys. All the new, younger checkers just talk to each other and ignore you. And the ones that don't talk to the other checkers look completely miserable, like they would rather die than be at work. I feel depressed after a trip to that store. They need customer service training badly. The only one who actually helps and cares about customer service is Dena in produce. Maybe she should train them. Raleys has become the most miserable store in Reno. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

I have been going here since I moved just a block away from the market. However, tonight I am just fed up with the poor lack of customer service the checker provides. It seems like the store has the "c" team working. It is completely different in the morning or afternoon. Checkers are friendly and greet you. Avoid this place in the late evening. read more

This Raley's is small and tucked back in the middle of a neighborhood, which is great, because I don't have to drive so far to get groceries! It's easy to get to by foot, bike, or car, and is always very clean. I prefer this to other local stores mainly because the employees are always friendly and ready to help, and because the store is organized and well stocked. The prices here are definitely higher than other stores, but I try to do any large bulk shopping elsewhere, so I don't break the bank. This store is great for last minute items, as well as specialty goods that you can't find other places. The produce is especially fresh, and even if i'm doing a large shopping trip somewhere else, I will still buy my produce here. I haven't had the opportunity to try their deli, but I have it on good authority that their sandwiches are worth the money :) All in all, I like this location and will continue shopping their. read more

Staff are so nice. Prices are high. Convenient location to my home, but don't do big trips here because it is pricey. Love the coupons they send are based on what you though. Overall, I go here for quick trips for a few things. Have been thinking about switching to their pharmacy though. read more

Great grocery store! The eCart is fantastic. I always get personal service. My personal Shopper always checks with me if expiration dates are near or if the fruit that I have picked might be not long on my shelf. They also see my quirk of only glass Pellegrino bottles. Hi, thought you all would like an update. You may have read that someone from Raley's was going to respond. No, shows you the lack of customer service. Shame on me, I was going home and needed some olive oil and an avocado. I knew better but thought how bad could it be? Three checkers, limited items stands closed (as always) lines up the isle ways and I get to the cashier and he is in training. Has no idea what vegetables are, let alone how to ring them up. What's a scu? What's a plu? This a tomato? This is what? Broclo? I knew better, so should you. As a customer of a business we deserve better....or shop elsewhere. I found the olive oil I like at Whole Foods. It is out of the way, not really local, but less expensive with friendly knowledgeable checkers. What a concept . read more

It was once a great shopping experience. Then Raleys took over. Now just aother store providing sustenance for smaller pocketbooks, less sophisticated tastes. But well stocked with chips and beer. Before Raleys it would have rated it 4.5 stars. read more

This is my absolute favorite place for breakfast burritos for breakfast and gourmet sandwiches for lunch. Raley's for these items is far better than those cookie cutter sandwich shops. And all the staff at Raleys are always so friendly and helpful. Yea, some may say that the groceries are expensive there but in my opinion, you get what you pay for, quality! Also they have a rebate points system. For every $100 you spend, they give $1 back plus coupons. I vote with my dollar and this is a great place to shop! Highly recommended! read more

Despite the fact that I think the prices are too high, I kept shopping here because it's close. However yesterday, when I shopped at WinCo for the first time, I found out just how much more Raley's really is. And it's a lot on a lot of items. The Chinese lady is RUDE!! Yen or whatever her name is just plain SUCKS! I was a Peckam shopper till it was closed. I thought I would enjoy shopping at the Mayberry Store as its quite nice but that checker is HORRIBLE! She stacks my groceries up on the counter and then gives me a crappy look when I try and pay her CASH! I will now be shopping at the Keystone store as they are nice their and actually ask me if I freaking want paper or plastic and they don't act snotty! read more

I started going to this Raley's for the pharmacy at first, but now I do most of my shopping there. The staff that I've encountered, especially the pharmacy staff, are great. Very rarely is it overly crowded. My only complaints would be the parking lot and the prices are a little high. I'll pay a little more and deal with a horribly planned parking lot to avoid chaotic, loud grocery stores any day. read more

Love this store. In this neighbourhood we all call it our pantry. We tried Ecart for the first time, cannot express enough how easy it was. I Placed our shopping order via the app, selected a time to pick it up. When it was ready they texted to let me know. I pulled up texted her to let her know I was there, she came out with the groc bags and was able to take my debit right there. Boom done! She said if anything was wrong don't hesitate to call and they will fix it. Plus She bagged everything perfectly, meats together, fruits together and so. A+++ read more

Love this store. Been going here for over ten years now. I expect efficiency and appreciate how fast they move you out the door, always opening up more lanes as soon as they see a jam. Some clerks are social and like to say hi, others don't even look up. I am not a chatter either. We are all different! They also have everything I need. As long as I eat their produce in the expected amount of time after I purchase it, it stays fresh with a reasonable, occasional exception which the manager will rectify. If you haven't tried ecart you are missing out. Order from your computer pick up your groceries on the way home without any hassle! Brought right to your car. Truly uncanny. Every other blankety blank time I go to this store there's some item that rings up the wrong price, always to their advantage. Not only that, the Raleys receipt is designed to confuse, so you figure it out after you get home. Ah well, I'll catch 'em in the act next trip. read more

Have to say that stores here have to compete with the Publix in Florida for varieties of food carried, deli, cost and amazing customer service. This could be because they cater to snowbirds from the northeast but I am pretty spoiled. Unfortunately, I have to shop at Safeway for many items when I would prefer to go closer to Raley's. Three stars for the store itself and five stars for their ecart. The easiest order on line, the best and most accommodating customer service for trying to make the order exactly what I wanted and you can't beat curbside delivery. Definitely recommend that if you don't have time to browse the aisles. read more

I have been a loyal customer of this Raley's for over 15 years and now I think I'm done with this store! The store always seems to be a complete mess as well as many empty spaces on the shelves. The deli section always has some story as to why they don't have something. I used to buy the jalapeno poppers several times a week then the were no longer available and I was told by Colin that they were not getting them from headquarters. I spoke to another woman who told me that was incorrect. She then went into the back and pulled an entire case from the freezer! Today I went in to buy a couple of the Raley's pizzas but they were nowhere to be found. Again Colin was behind the counter and told me that they have discontinued them because headquarters has not sent them! I'm done with being lied to! read more

Can you guys please fix your sandwich making ways before attempting to sell them? Twice now i have gone in at lunch and ordered a panini and both times the end result is partially warm bread with black specks of burned residue from their grill that hasnt been cleaned and the inside of the sandwich is ICE cold!! The visit before the paninis i got home and unwrapped my sandwich to find everything but the turkey i ordered on my turkey sandwich!! And aside from their sandwiches being a complete fail i think their prices are ubsurd. Im guilty of shopping here because i live 2 blocks away but if i have a long list of groceries never do i shop here! read more

I enjoy shopping at Raleys on Mayberry and enjoy the friendliness of the staff here. It's very close to my home so it's convenient to head there if I've forgotten a required ingredient. They have a pretty good selection of fruits and veggies, meat, bakery and deli items. The prices are a little higher than other stores, but that doesn't bug me as much as sometimes they have some really awesome deals too. The thing that slightly bugs me though is their seafood. I buy my seafood at another store and I wish I can shop at one store and be done. The fish counter looks beautiful and clean, but I'm bummed that they don't have wild caught fish. If they do, I've never seen it. It's all farmed fish and I'm picky when it comes to seafood from a water source. The frozen fish packages say wild caught, but the small print says the fish came from farm fisheries. Other than that, this is a great store with great staff. read more
