This locally owned grocery store is a personal favorite. I was so happy when they built this shopping center. For those of us in Wingfield and Spanish springs communities shopping options were super limited. With the opening of this Winco, it offered more affordable groceries at competitive prices without having to drive 20-30 minutes or settling for the one grocery store (I won't name names) that monopolized nearby for years. This store is clean and organized. I'm obsessed with their bulk section variety. I've found items I wouldn't have otherwise tried, but was able to try without committing to a family sized package. They are open 24 hours, so if I need anything after hours, this is my go-to. Their employees are helpful and friendly and their groceries are for the most part cheaper in most of their departments. This past weekend my kids and I were in picking up a few things from their bulk bins and I got a bit carried away. My kids were hungry and we stopped by and met Mary at their pizza counter. She was awesome by the way! My kids love French bread pizzas, so we ordered one and a pepperoni slice combo. The slices were huge and I stole a bite of my son's pizza; It was so good! You can't beat a $2.00 combo in this market. My kids were happy and less grumpy heading towards our last errand. They have fresh daily baked pizzas and take home. If you're ever here during the day, stop by for a slice or a take home. You can't beat their prices or service. Thanks Mary for your patience with us. Hope to see you again in the future.

I still prefer another neighbor store because of the customer service which is not near as good at winco but the pricing is so much better which is much needed right now and the selection is mostly better at winco with the exception of fruits and veggies. My husband brought me home a strawberry pillow and purple flowers because i had a migraine today.

If you are looking to reduce your grocery bill then this is the store for you. I am not kidding. You can save a lot of money by shopping here. Not to mention, this store is huge and has a large inventory of almost any grocery item you could need. Indeed, it is 80,000 square feet. Plus it is new, fresh, and clean. They have a large variety of fresh herbs, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables. I love that Winco is employee owned. I believe this is what leads to excellent service. Inside they also have a Pizza and sandwich shop. I haven't tried that yet but am excited to try it out.

The new WinCo is awesome. We are so lucky to have one in Sparks. No more driving down to South Meadows! This one is fresh and clean, and there aren't panhandlers in the parking lot, unlike the South Meadows location. The parking lot is spacious. The prices at WinCo are so low. I am always surprised when I load up my cart and seemingly pay half of what I would pay for the same amount of groceries at Safeway. The selection is generally good, although there are some oddities, like not having a lot of kinds of bacon. The pizza people do a great job taking and baking your order while you shop, and there is a great selection of to-go pizza options like flatbreads, dough, and bake-at-home pizza pies. I like following the WinCo Foods instagram account so that I can see the featured products, like chocolate and peppermint canned whipped cream.

This Winco was conveniently located along Pyramid Highway when I was in need of a coffee drink and a ladies room. The bakery goods were fresh. The refrigerated soft drinks and coffee drinks were chilled. The food aisles were neat and well stocked. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The new store is 24 hours. It's well lighted and the customers shopping here make you feel safe.

I went in the store for the first time to buy my weekly Friday favorite of Noosa blueberry yogurt, Blueberry Kefir and a Tilamook vanilla yogurt. I was amazed at how large it was and the height of stacked pallets way way up there in a very tall ceiling. The shelf space is taller than in the Winco I usually use at South Meadows Parkway. As I checked out the aisles I noticed a 750ml of Everclear. I hard worked for a couple of years in the state liquor store in Utah. Little 200 ml's of Everclear were "hidden" behind the counter. Occasionally we sold cases of 6 gallons of Everclear to a few customers so I found it interesting that it's a normal shelf item. I went to the self check out cash line but forgot that I was not at Smith's. I put my Smith's credit card to the optical scanner and got a double fault error code... First off... Wrong store... ( Senior citizen moment ... ) & Winco doesn't take credit cards and so was in the cash line... The cashier Maddy was kind and helpful as she helped me get the error code cleared. Her colleague Manuel was getting off shift, but he was also quite helpful. Lead cashier Nathan came over to thank me coming in getting everyone on Yelp.

They're great for soothing sensitive tummies like mine and I get to eat six of them for 130 calories!

What's not to love about Winco? Seriously great food at great prices and their employees make a living wage and are company shareholders too! Now that there's one near our home, we can shop here and we do buy most of our food here now. Until Walmart gets it together with the pay and treatment of their employees, we do everything that we can to avoid that store and Winco makes that easy to do. Yaaaaay Winco!!

I also utilize them for my prescriptions and the pharmacy staff is always friendly, helpful, and communicates well when I have a prescription that is on order or out of stock. You get what you pay for what you pay for with groceries, meat and every other consumer product in life and, yes, Safeway is expensive for what they offer, but it is of good quality and decent value. I always recommend Safeway for their groceries, pharmacy and positive customer experiences.

I was searching for a whole chicken to put in the smoker when I ran across an ad from Safeway. Five dollar Cornish game hens (regularly seven dollars) if you purchase four of them. I decided to go for the deal, and when I open the app and they had a $30 off first time order for either delivery or pick up. Now I like to save money, just had to purchase $75 after all of the discounts. So I went through the app and ordered a bunch of stuff. New York steaks were on sale, Cornish game hints, bought a few different types of vegetables. The total was $160. But with the coupons and the $30 off, I ended up spending $48. It's nice to have them pick up the stuff, but the shoppers job is not to help you get the best items. My wife had to replace the salary and the carrots and the steaks. It seems like the shoppers job is too get rid of stuff before it expires and they have no issue giving you bruised or damaged fruits and vegetables. So even though the price was great , the steaks were completely covered with fat and gristle. The vegetables were on their last leg. I do not recommend this service.

Sure if you need something for tonight or tomorrow's dinner - go ahead. It's not bad produce, it's just got a little shorter lifespan on a lot of it. If you are buying your groceries for the week go to Winco, you'll save some money and your veg will last a bit longer. Toiletries: I frequently buy my shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, toothpaste etc here. I'm not going to find the same brand/ flavor every time but I don't care. They carry good brands and I've been very happy with these purchases. Sauce: The sauce isle is one of my favorites. They have a great selection here of all kinds of sauces, marinades, dips, and dressings. Pets: I frequently buy my kitty litter, kitty snacks, and kitty dry food here. Laundry: Also my go to place for laundry needs. Frozen: Great selection. Thank you for always having my beyond burgers and big bags of frozen shrimp. Shout out to the odd selection of ice creams. Snacks: Sometimes awesome deals sometimes just ok. Always a selection of unique things to try. I appreciate the selection of nuts especially. Cheese: Don't sleep on their fancy cheese selection. If you are making a charcuterie board and this place isn't your first stop, you're doing it wrong and for too much money. Alcohol: Great selection. Discounts can be found on wine but are infrequently found on beer. Overall with Grocery Outlet you can't go in there expecting to definitely find A, B, and C in the brand and packaging you are used to. Heck it's very likely you'll find A, B, and C it's just not a guarantee and it's also likely that it will be a different flavor or brand. You are guaranteed to find something amazing at a great price that you wouldn't have had the opportunity to try otherwise. Note here: Grocery Outlet has a new store brand that is working hard to make it so that staple foods you expect to be there will be there.

As someone with meat-cutting experience, the lack of care and consistency really stands out. What really surprised me was the knowledge behind the counter. When I explained that filet mignon is the tenderloin steak commonly served in restaurants--often wrapped in bacon, she argued instead of listening. The overall impression I got was that the meat department lacks experienced cutters with a solid understanding of basic beef cuts. If you're particular about how your steaks are cut or expect knowledgeable service from the meat counter, this location may leave you frustrated. Go anywhere else in Reno for a decent steak.

All of this while providing full-time positions and livable wages with benefits too. Winco proves it! In the 20+ years that I've been a Winco customer, I've always been treated well which is a phenomenal track record that some jerk has ruined. Why Linda, why? She was covering the service desk and I came in to return a defective item. As I approached the desk, she was looking me up and down with a very strange expression. So because of this, I wasn't affable but I definitely wasn't rude. I cut to the chase of why I was there. She treated me VERY badly which I ignored for the most part, stating that in all of the years that I've shopped at Winco I've never been treated so poorly. She responded by saying that I was the problem and invited me to call the corporate office! Then she said aggressively, "I've had three horrible customers in one day!" repeating it a few times. I asked to speak to a manager and she quipped that he was busy and he couldn't get away so I asked someone else to page him for me and she interfered with that page, telling them to cancel it. This is a brand new store and everyone else is amazing which is what I'm used to. I wrote this shortly after the store first opened and haven't had an unpleasant experience since and I shop here weekly. I also have not seen Linda. It's a great store with great employees and low prices. I'll keep buying whatever they have that I need from Winco. This store is my first go to store.
