This locally owned grocery store is a personal favorite. I was so happy when they built this shopping center. For those of us in Wingfield and Spanish springs communities shopping options were super limited. With the opening of this Winco, it offered more affordable groceries at competitive prices without having to drive 20-30 minutes or settling for the one grocery store (I won't name names) that monopolized nearby for years. This store is clean and organized. I'm obsessed with their bulk section variety. I've found items I wouldn't have otherwise tried, but was able to try without committing to a family sized package. They are open 24 hours, so if I need anything after hours, this is my go-to. Their employees are helpful and friendly and their groceries are for the most part cheaper in most of their departments. This past weekend my kids and I were in picking up a few things from their bulk bins and I got a bit carried away. My kids were hungry and we stopped by and met Mary at their pizza counter. She was awesome by the way! My kids love French bread pizzas, so we ordered one and a pepperoni slice combo. The slices were huge and I stole a bite of my son's pizza; It was so good! You can't beat a $2.00 combo in this market. My kids were happy and less grumpy heading towards our last errand. They have fresh daily baked pizzas and take home. So grateful we have a Winco this side of town. It's very clean and bright. The parking lot always seems taken care of and there aren't carts laying around everywhere. The flow of the store seems to make a lot of sense and it's very organized. I would definitely say don't go super late at night as that is when they do a lot of the stocking of the shelves which makes sense, but it's just harder to navigate through and you kind of feel like you're in their way even though they don't say anything, it's just that they have pallets and things everywhere. The produce seems to always be pretty fresh, I think one can tell when they're due for a shipment because either the produce is minimal or the produce guys usually switching out the old stuff with a new when they get it delivered. They usually have everything I've ever needed, I think the customer service is on point, and I don't have any complaints. I definitely recommend coming to this Winco as it is nice and clean and very welcoming. read more

Well, it was my first time in the new Winco on pyramid in Sparks. What an amazing store is very cleaning. I got everything I needed it. I'm sure I will be going back. The meat department is beyond beautiful. I know that's crazy to say it's beautiful meat department, but it is. I still prefer another neighbor store because of the customer service which is not near as good at winco but the pricing is so much better which is much needed right now and the selection is mostly better at winco with the exception of fruits and veggies. If the manager of this store is not going to stand behind their customers when they are being harassed by the little delinquent kids on e-bikes in the parking lot I will no longer shop here. When a woman was almost run over twice, called all kinds of names and continued to be harassed by these kids and the manager refused to call the cops, told her to go inside and shop and did nothing! These kids do not belong in a parking lot riding their e-bikes and causing all kinds of trouble, when the manager won't do anything about it that tells them it's ok for them to continue to terrorize the customers! A manager should be standing up for their customers or they wouldn't be in business! read more

Not to mention, this store is huge and has a large inventory of almost any grocery item you could need. Indeed, it is 80,000 square feet. Plus it is new, fresh, and clean. They have a large variety of fresh herbs, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables. I love that Winco is employee owned. I believe this is what leads to excellent service. I don't I don't usually review grocery stores, but Winco foods in Spanish Springs, Nevada was totally worth it. One of the grocery stores in the area., Winco provided a great experience with reasonable prices for just about anything you're looking for in a grocery store. Section had a variety of great cuts of pork beef as well as chicken to include servings for small groups or large parties. Shelves were stocked full with products as we arrived on a Sunday morning during the post church service. Grocery store was very clean and had plenty of staff to answer questions as well as check out very quickly. Produce was very good and recently priced. They do have a small food court that prepares hot pizza, calzones, and other items. Great highly recommend visiting this store will be back! read more

It's a pretty good store. They don't have as many gluten-free dairy free items as I would like because I have to eat that way for my allergies but overall, there's some great things about it. They do have a fantastic gluten-free New England clam chowder that I'm totally hooked on. I hope they never stop selling that. The new WinCo is awesome. We are so lucky to have one in Sparks. No more driving down to South Meadows! This one is fresh and clean, and there aren't panhandlers in the parking lot, unlike the South Meadows location. The parking lot is spacious. The prices at WinCo are so low. I am always surprised when I load up my cart and seemingly pay half of what I would pay for the same amount of groceries at Safeway. The selection is generally good, although there are some oddities, like not having a lot of kinds of bacon. The pizza people do a great job taking and baking your order while you shop, and there is a great selection of to-go pizza options like flatbreads, dough, and bake-at-home pizza pies. I like following the WinCo Foods instagram account so that I can see the featured products, like chocolate and peppermint canned whipped cream. read more

I went in the store for the first time to buy my weekly Friday favorite of Noosa blueberry yogurt, Blueberry Kefir and a Tilamook vanilla yogurt. I was amazed at how large it was and the height of stacked pallets way way up there in a very tall ceiling. The shelf space is taller than in the Winco I usually use at South Meadows Parkway. As I checked out the aisles I noticed a 750ml of Everclear. I hard worked for a couple of years in the state liquor store in Utah. Little 200 ml's of Everclear were "hidden" behind the counter. Occasionally we sold cases of 6 gallons of Everclear to a few customers so I found it interesting that it's a normal shelf item. I went to the self check out cash line but forgot that I was not at Smith's. I put my Smith's credit card to the optical scanner and got a double fault error code... First off... Wrong store... ( Senior citizen moment ... ) & Winco doesn't take credit cards and so was in the cash line... The cashier Maddy was kind and helpful as she helped me get the error code cleared. Her colleague Manuel was getting off shift, but he was also quite helpful. Lead cashier Nathan came over to thank me coming in getting everyone on Yelp. read more

Now that there's one near our home, we can shop here and we do buy most of our food here now. This is my favorite WinCo in town! It's a bit out of my way, but always worth the drive. The store is clean, the shopping carts all work, and the employees are so friendly and kind! There are plenty of manned checkouts and self-checkouts available. On my recent visit when checking out, I noticed that the cashier I was about to go to was "in-training" and they had a sign asking people to be patient. I almost turned around and then thought, nah, she needs it! Her name is Maddi and she was the absolute sweetest! Very pleasant to talk to and doing an excellent job with how new she was! I noticed the other employees were all incredibly kind and gracious with her as well. I rarely ever have an issue finding the things I need here and everything is a great price! I am always surprised at how low my grocery bill is when I come here vs other stores. I've also never had an issue with the quality of food/products I've found here. read more

Recently opened in Spanish Springs. The store looks great, staff very nice and prices are reasonable. Deli, sushi and pizza is great to pick up a quick bite or bring it to a party. The only downside is they only take cash, debit or EBT. No credit cards which is the same at all their stores. I visited on a weekday with manageable number of people but can't imagine how busy it would on the weekends especially until the newness is over with. read more

I am totally excited about this Winco being in our neighborhood, it is so needed because Savemart is so depressing. I went for the first time today as we were on vacation when opened, and I had a great time, quieter than I thought it would be an employee said the same thing but it was awesome I got in and out in no time. I visited this store for the first time today. It was very clean, inside and out. My main focus was the produce section. It's quite large! I had a little trouble finding the organic items. I can't say that all of the produce was in great shape, however, if one takes a few moments to inspect things more closely, some decent items can be found. They had Brentwood corn! I lived in the East Bay for years, and Brentwood corn on the cob was always a treasure! The bulk section is very large, also. Everything is large in this store! If you want to see everything the store has to offer, I recommend you set aside some time and wear comfortable shoes. read more

The customer service here has been excellent since opening. I was hoping that it would stay consistent. For the most part everyone here still gives excellent service with exception to Suzanne in self checkout. She is extremely rude. Self checkout says around 20 items or less. I had 25. The self checkout was practically empty. I completely understand why they have that stipulation. You don't want to hold anyone up but like I said, there were 7 open stations. The rude part was that Suzanne yelled from the front as if I was a child. Screaming "you can't Checkout here, you have to many items" in an angry voice. So I went to the line and observed her talking to her friends while another customer had to flag her down for help. I was told by another employee that this wasn't the first time customers had complained about her behavior. I hope she can get better training. read more

After I scanned the malt vinegar she got up off her stool walked over put her hand in my bag and lifted it up and said, Oh I thought this was something else. As a long term Walmart grocery shopper, I am pleased to say I will never be back at Walmart.. Ever. Now that this WinCo opened we only go here for our weekly groceries and nowhere else. This store is always clean, organized and IN stock of most all items which I can attest Walmart could never do. The staff here also are happy, friendly people.... Like they enjoy being there. My average for food and groceries at WinCo is about 50 less a week with the same items I'd buy at Walmart. We love WinCo! read more

I love this store! We were so happy to have them build one near our home. The staff here are friendly and very efficient. The store is super clean and I can get nearly everything I need here in one spot. I used to go to Raley's for my produce, but WinCo produce is just as nice now. Their prices are great and they have a huge selection of cereals, staples like flour, sugar, coffee and even spices you can buy in bulk. That is a big money saver! They have very good prices on meat and seafood. And if you want a (guilty) snack, go back to the deli and get a corn dog ... tasty and affordable! read more
