To be honest, I only go to this supermarket because it's the closest grocery store to my house. I do think the prices are overpriced but it's a price I'll pay to not go to Walmart. It's never too hectic. I never wait more than 5 minutes in line at any time and I have gone at random, different times. If you need help with putting groceries in your car, the bagger always offers if you need help out. I also think the flowers are relatively inexpensive ($3.00 or so) and they last more than week. Also, its a plus that there is Peets coffee, a bakery, Wells Fargo, a pharmacy and a post office inside. It's makes a lot of things more convenient. read more

Their fresh produce department is like going to the local farmers market, especially the organic section. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is always clean. I wouldn't even mind paying their over inflated prices if I didn't have to ALWAYS also be required to be a checker and a bagger while being a mom to my infant. 99% of their employees are very young (which is awesome) but also have zero problem solving or customer service skills. There's always allot of parking spaces , and they seem to have allot of inventory so that means they probably don't run out of items too quick . Just left Raleys at 11:00 am on a Monday. One checker, maybe 20 years old. 3 people ahead of me, 4 people behind me. NO CALL FOR BACK UP. The young girl working self check out had ZERO customer. This is a nice and clean (except their bathrooms) grocery store compared to most in Stockton. They have a decent selection of craft brews, but no where near the selection they have at the raleys (twin cities in herald). to the manager that looks upset all the time and doesn't always greet your customers - smile once in awhile, it's good for you and makes customers feel welcomed. this raleys is not all that bad considering it's in a community that is struggling with crime, homelessness, and increase in population. Due to the new apartments and all of the homes nearby, it can get very busy. The verdict: please carry more craft brews and fix your bathrooms. read more

I called a couple days ago about the hiring process and asked to speak to their hiring manager. I was connected to a man who was very unkind, unprofessional, and had very poor customer service. He also tried to belittle me while having our conversation. It was definitely a really bad experience. New Raleys , very clean store , great location, even has their own gas station. Why a 2 star rating?? . Lack of customer service. Every time i stop in ususally on my way home from work or on the way in. This last visit I went to the Postal Center and there were two customers at two different windows and one clerk checking in mail. Couldnt tell if she was helping a customer or what was going on. Clerk never smiled or acknowledged me in line. Finally realized she was helping a man who had piles of 5×7 envelopes and was still addressing them. I could tell she was stressed but you should not make a customer feel like they are an annoyance. We are the reason you have the job right? She finally helped me but still no smile or thank you. On other visits I have experienced lackluster service so it must be lack of leadership at this particular Raleys. I love my neighborhood Raleys in Elk Grove and their postal center rocks! read more

Terrible service! I asked 3 people where an item was located. The first said aisle 14, the 2nd said aisle 16, the 3rd said aisle 17. It was finally in aisle 17. On top of that, when I waiting to get a name written on my cake, they helped someone behind me when I had been waiting at the counter for 10 min waiting for someone to show up in the bakery section. And so, I had to wait another 10 min whilw they helped the lady behind me. I guess I should've yelled like that lady to get attention first. read more

05/22/22 While at Raley's yesterday, I completed my weekly shopping. I rotate between various stores mostly in Stockton, Lodi, or Angels Camp. While all of them have their good points, and some not so much, on occasion I shop at Raleys in Morada. Part of the positive is the variety of items in many of their departments. Example, italian mixed bean salad by Mezzetta, I also thought they carried the 'jones' soda, but recently unable to locate it and was assisted by store personnel too. Speaking of personnel at this location: a helpful man stocking dairy stopped to assist me in locating sections where I needed to find items. The check out person Joey and bagger Walker, 1) did not roll their eyes when I approached their stand with a basket overloaded, 2) assisted when I dropped my shopping list, 3) listened when I asked to keep bags at a reasonable weight as I had to carry them to the house, up a bit of a hill, by myself. Not to mention Walker helped me out to the car to unload. I'm more likely to frequent a facility with fantastic service than not. Raleys- Mgr- you've got a fan. This location is not okay in my book. You can certainly find lower prices elsewhere. The store is clean inside. However, the environment outside makes me feel vulnerable and unsafe. The beggars and solicitors are out of control so I try to avoid this store. After reading some of the other reviews, I am not alone in feeling uncomfortable with it. On my most recent visit, one of them followed me to my vehicle harassing me for money. As a female, this was terrifying, especially at night. For this reason, I'd like to toss out a comment to my fellow Yelper Steve. No amount of case law is going to protect us from being followed and possibly assaulted in the parking lot. I must say this Raley's is the best thing to hit Stockton (even though people will say MORADA) lol.. I love the newer Raley's over the older one we have on Hammer Ln. I will also add that the produce man gets the best produce that's out there.. The apples are alway so huge and brightly colored.. The organic section is awesome!! I was on an acai kick (still do it ever now and then) and the produce manager walked by and asked if there was anything he could do. I replied back with if he could get larger bottles of acai and more of them, he said he could and that if I called in advance they would put in the order.. Wow how's that for first class service? Ask and you shall receive!!! And well we've only done that once.. but I never have to call in the order because they are always well stocked. (p.s. it's the Sambazon brand of juice in the produce section, it's one of the best). I went in to raleys at 8:30 pm Friday night hoping to get a custom cake for the next morning,I was greeted by Lynn a very nice lady and even though the sign said they were closed at eight for the bakery she helped me with a great attitude! She was extremely helpful in picking the right cake for my son and even provided cake decor that matched with my theme. The cake came out beautifully!!!! Pretty decent grocery store, albeit overpriced. But for the convenience, it's not bad. I've deducted stars because of their inability to effectively deal with the panhandlers and solicitors on their property. They apologize for them being there, and say that they are there without permission. How about calling the police? Police won't come? Hire a security guard. Better yet, hose down the walkways in front of the store... ooops, sorry homeless guy begging for change, we didn't mean to drench you with our hose. And despite the moronic assertions made by other reviewers (Steve I.), the trespasssing issue is miraculously not a problem at other Raleys in this valley (in and around SJ County)... is this just a complete coincidence? Is it pure chance that the other locations have skillfully remedied the problem in spite of the ruling referenced in the review? Of course it's not - but it would take logic and reason to come to such a conclusion. Something that is clearly beyond the capabilities of one partiular reviewer. read more

I just left out of this Beautiful dark store and made my very first purchase ever being I live off 8 mile road. Once inside I was captivated by the cleanliness and how everything was organized but noticed the customer service rep by the front door didn't smile or say hello! Ok, that may not be the end of the world, however once ready to check out there was this cashier with a big tattoo on her left arm that looked at me and my family like we didn't belong there or something. I also noticed the two young girls the bagger and the cashier had dry expressions on their faces also. Now, The question of the day is, who in their right state of mind would re-visit a dark place with not so friendly faces! I've been shopping at the Morada Raley's for over 15 years. Everyone complains about their high prices (true) but honestly, if the quality and the customer service was on point, I would consider it more than worth it to pay those prices. But sadly, quality and customer service are in short supply at the Raley's Morada store. In the last 4 to 5 years, I believe it may be ever since this Raley's was sold to new owners, things have been sliding down hill. From discontinuing their postal drop service for customers, to offering produce that is often spoiled (little dots of black mold in the small tubs of chopped celery and goo in the chopped onions, fruit flies buzzing around tomatoes sitting in their own liquid rot, wilted green onions)... The rotisserie chicken has become extremely greasy, and the fried chicken is plain bad. Is it made from their old rotisserie chickens? Even their chicken tenders, are as tough as leather! Why can't they do better, and offer consistent quality? While a few of their staff are nice and go out of their way to be helpful, they seem to be the exception, not the rule. Many of the staff are sullen, go out of their way to ignore you, and/or treat you with contempt. Meanwhile the parking lot is beginning to resemble the nearby Walmart parking lot- I have seen discarded syringes, used condoms, piles of cat food left around for the feral cats, homeless panhandlers around most of the store and parking lot exits and entrances. In keeping with the store staff seeming so anti-customer, the security at times are also quite rude, intrusive, at times they will blatantly follow you around the store, really making you feel uncomfortable, and I am quite an average older customer who shops there very regularly, and I have never been approached, accused of, or done anything untoward, so it it is very odd that they seem to focus on people who they should not be concerned with! Meanwhile I see what look like some pretty rough characters being ignored. Oh, and they are quick to tell you they can't do anything about the panhandlers that sit right outside the store, and at most of the parking lot exits, as well. Wow, and I still have to give them 2 stars because even with all of these faults, Raley's is still the only half-way decent grocery store within maybe a 7 or 8 mile radius of its location. So for the time being I still spend most of my food/household $$$ with them. I just really wish they could be better. Or that Amazon/Whole Food would start delivering in the North-east Stockton area... read more

Every time I go here my card never works at the self check out. I paid with cash today and for a $3 box of tea and it didn't work AGAIN so I paid with cash like I usually have to. After that, it ate 3 of my dollars and didn't register the last one so I was stuck there. Then, when I tried to put in another dollar the green arrows weren't lighting up and I couldn't put any money in. Then, it reset on my and said I had to pay another $3.
