Terrible. I had to ask whether they were open or not . When they said yes I was directed on how to enter the store as shopping carts blocked all but one way in. After paying the only cashier on duty she came around and checked my cart. I asked ",do you think I'm a thief?" Her answer was "yes". Never again will I patronize a food 4 less. 3 years overseas, 8th infantry. 2 commendations and return home to be treated like a thief. On Easter morning. read more

This Save Mart location can be found in the same plaza as Taco Bell and Rite Aid with plenty of parking. When I come up to Lodi, this is the location I usually will shop at. The staff that my husband and I have interacted with have been very friendly on each visit. What I love most about this market is the gigantic sandwich special they have. This large submarine sandwich can easily feed 8 people that is pretty meaty and only cost $8.99- $10.99 (it varies when they have a sale). I also love some of the premade salads in the deli section (and the employees behind the counter can give you a sample if you wish to try any before making a purchase). After making several purchases here since earlier this year, we were highly recommended by an employee to download the app and sign up for a free loyalty account. Each time you make a purchase, you earn points which can be redeemed for money off your purchases. Also they have a special in which you can get a free item that is featured every Friday with your loyalty account each week. This store is pretty clean and does have cart wipes at the front of the store. Overall, has been a positive shopping experience every time I've shopped here and will continue to when I am in town. read more

My friends and I don't appreciate the canned answer that Savemart replies to every negative review here, same old same old with the suggestion to contact customer support. I tried that and got ZERO response. Why not reply with something helpful, like we're trying to fix our problems? It's been over 2 weeks and the same problem exists. Won't be shopping here again. One of their little toy machines up front is eating money, when told the workers act like they don't give a damn. I asked them to put a sign on it, they basically ignored me. Worst customer service ever. Young guy working the meat dept completely ignored me and proceeded to wash the floor for a couple of minutes. When I inquired about who was attending the counter, he turned off the hose and stated that he was. He then intended to fulfill my order without washing his hands. When I asked him about washing his hands, he stated that had already used hand sanitizer earlier in the afternoon. I walked away, he clearly cannot follow basic sanitary policies. read more

Ridiculous, the cake decorating lady is the rudest. I asked for a 5inch cake similar to the photo I posted. My son likes the anime characters so trying my best to get close to it. All I asked for was fluffed frosting with buttercream. I didn't even care what cake tip they used for frosting I just wanted it not frosted flat... I showed the women this picture last week and I should have known it would be an issue because she had an attitude about it when I put order in. Saying it's to small a cake and she can't use butter cream.. Yes she can. My mom was the cake decorating lady at the nugget for years. She usually makes my sons cakes but she had surgery on her hand so this year she didn't. We always use butter cream and have never had any issue. You have a Cake. You have the frosting. You have tips. You make it. Does not matter what size the cake is. I don't know why this lady here had such an issue and when I asked her to fix it her attitude just continued. I will never order from here again. And I will make sure all my family and friends know to go else where. So I ended up with a small cake that someone else had to fix because the older lady didn't want to do it, and wow how hard was that looks like it was doable to me. We have been buying Fried Chicken at the Deli for a couple of years. It is good. This was my first visit since COVID-19 Shelter-In-Place started. As I walked across the store from the west entrance to the Deli on the east side of the store, I noticed that no one appeared to be wearing a face mask. The woman at the Deli was wearing a mask but her nose was uncovered (might as well not been wearing it). I ordered an 8-pieces of chicken bag; asked about the Meal Deal; and was told that it was no longer being offered. I took my chicken to the counter to pay for it. As I was waiting I was looking around the store. I did not see one customer, except myself, wearing a face mask. Then I checked out the employees. Two masks and one of them was being worn improperly. I will not be returning to this store any time soon. read more

Very nice and friendly employees I got helped by Lety in the bakery deli she's not there after 12 pm so everyone run and grab you a good sandwich and she deserves a raise for sure she made my sandwich perfect!! I've lived near this store for close to 2 years now since 2020, the staff has always been cheerful and helpful. There's great comradery amongst the employees, playful banter. I'm officially the Duke of S-Mart (and Lodi is also my kingdom as of this week - how cool is that?!) so it seemed fitting to leave a review of my most frequented grocery store. I don't do a lot of traditional grocery shopping because I'm always on the go, but S-Mart is convenient for both its location and its hours. It's a brief walk from my house - a little over 5 minutes - and on the way to 99, so an easy enough stop when I need to snag something quick before making an exit out of town. Hours are great, too, as they're open from 6am to 12am daily. I can't say I've frequented the earlier end of that spectrum very much, but I've definitely been there around midnight, and it's a great post-gym option to pick up a protein shake or Greek yogurt. I've mainly enjoyed my recent visits there picking up festive items. They offered three pumpkins for $9.99, which was a hell of a deal, and allowed me to carve up some Jack-o-Lanterns for Halloween. They were also one of the only places open (and nearby) for me to grab a donut in celebration of National Doughnut Day today. The donut was just okay, but I won't fault them. I imagine it was made close to 24 hours ago. I could see it being better fresh for sure. S-Mary also conveniently has a two Redbox machines and a Coinstar, all of which I've used. Looking for a can of soda to go? 35 cents on the machine next to those. Bathrooms are clean, they offer self check out (a MUST, IMO), and the staff has always been nice. If I have any gripes, it's that they're not the most reasonably priced grocery store in town, but I'd say they do offset that with some nice weekly deals. Check your ads! They also lock up one of the entrances at night, presumably to prevent staff. I understand it, but it's a mild inconvenience. Midnight isn't particularly late, so ideally they'd just keep both sides open until then. All in all, a nice grocery store, and one I'm glad to have nearby whenever I need something in a pinch. read more

Believe me this 1 star review is necessary. I came in one evening and the staff me never seem to be a little too comfortable if you know what I mean. An old woman , angel with the long black hair wasn't paying any attention to me or asked if I found everything ok. She was too busy flirting with another coworker a tall man with black hair. I was too upset to even see his name. Instead of taking care of the customer right in front of them they found it appropriate to continue this back and fourth flirting with each other. It was very off putting to say the least. If employees are having relationships with each other it shouldn't be THIS noticeable. Hopefully the morning staff are better well behaved because this was disgusting to watch. read more

I love these stores!!! I truly appreciate their stores as they are always cleaned, well stocked and have delis! The meat and produce departments have a large selection of quality items to choose from! I dont have to worry about there being limited items nor expired items.... all fresh!! They have a reward program where you earn points for your purchases. You can redeem them later for discounts on your total purchase and/ or you receive items for free. Speaking of free they always have something to offer their reward member nearly on a weekly basis. The best part of coming to this site is the staff!! They are always professional, courteous, helpful and personable! I ventured off to another store in the area and have much regret that I had! I have now committed to only coming here for my grocery shopping as they always make my shopping experience a pleasant one and appreciate my business!!! read more

The smell of potato wedges lingering in the air always makes me hungry. The deli seems to emit this enticing smell, no matter what time of the day I decide to shop. Don't be fooled, Yelp friends. The wedges smell much better than they taste. That said, I only shop at this store out of last minute necessity. The prepared foods in the deli case resemble foods served at a family reunion in 1987. The food selection could use better presentation and the menu could use updating. The seafood counter is kind of sad. I would not buy seafood from here. The fish looks to be thawed pre-frozen fish/seafood and it always appears and smells a day old. Produce is right up there with the seafood counter. It's like S-Mart was picked last for the team and all the good players and produce went to other stores. Customer service is just, eh. The deli, seafood, and produce counters are sub-par. Terrible service ! Negative stars if Yelp would allow.... At around 9 am this morning I purchased a cheese platter for $24.99 I asked one of the employee around the deli area if she knew about where else these platters are placed because I wanted to find more items to bring to a potluck, she said there was two platters earlier but someone must of bought 1, so I said ok that's fine, thanks, and walked away. At 11ish I was at the potluck and we opened up the cheese platter and the crackers were stale, so I called the store and spoke to a guy, I explained to him the crackers were bad, that I had thrown them away, I was willing to come back and get a new platter if they would just discount off the cost of the crackers since my original cheese platter crackers were bad, the guy said ok and put the phone down to relay the message to another girl, I could hear everything he told her but he kept saying I don't know what all she wants I didn't ask, the girl got on the phone and of course I had to repeat everything, already irritated that I am in Stockton and that I might have to drive back to Lodi just for some crackers, so I explained to the girl calmly that I had bought a cheese and cracker platter this morning for 24.99 and the crackers were stale, she said if we could just come back and they would do a refund, I explained to her that the cheese is fine if they would just discount us for the crackers off a new cheese platter and that I would gladly drive back today to get it, she said everyone is gone not sure if they went to lunch or what but she was going to check with a manager and see what they can do, a few mins later she came back on the phone and said the manager approved a new platter and will knock off 50% of it for us, I asked the girl if I needed to bring back a receipt as proof and she said no that my name would be fine and she said not to come back until 6pm because that's when someone can make sure the platter is made in time, I said ok. At 6ish I came back to the store and waited awhile until someone came to counter to help me, i waved down a girl in the back and I told the girl what I came here for and she acted like she didn't know what was going on? Thinking in my head if I have to explain myself again "I'm going to lose my beans" this is just annoying...she walked away and came back with a cheese platter with a note with my name on it, so I check the platter and notice the price was $22.99 or $22.49, I looked at the girl and said oh no, the price I paid earlier was $24.99 and this isn't 50% off, another lady walked up and said this is what the deli manager said the price was it was $44.99 so half off that, I explained to this other lady for the 3rd time that I paid 24.99 for it this morning and this isn't half off as promised, she began to tell me to speak to the deli manager about it that she would be here tomorrow, so I asked her what do you want me to do pay for this again and deal with it later? She looked at me and just said "well you don't have to buy it, I'm just doing what I'm told" WOW! Just wow!! Unbelievable, where is the customer service at anymore? people are just doing their jobs no more no less, I'm over here already wasting my time dealing with stale ass crackers practically ruin my potluck appetizer spread, we had to run to walmart to buy new crackers to eat with the cheese and theses folks doesn't even care to look or pay attention to their prices, or better yet notate it properly so that the customer doesn't have to deal with this bs especially when no management is available later on, the store isn't that big or busy for workers to be so clueless about these prices, this isn't my first time shopping here nor buying deli platters, I'm a very understanding person things like this happens with crackers and bread or their meat platters, they cannot foresee when it goes stale etc, but if the platter I had bought this am was a week or a few days old wouldn't the workers know that that's why the one I bought was 24.99? Had you explained this to me nicely I would have understood it and just let it go, I was fine paying for more cheese minus the cost of the stale crackers, mind you I didn't even need to buy more cheese but this is what I get for being too nice, because of this experience I will never let any other stores take advantage of me, I'll gladly bring the crap back and get my full refund and never shop there again, just terrible terrible service !!! As far as Save Mart Supermarkets go, this is probably one of their top stores, clean, well-lit, and well stocked. Most employees are friendly and the older ones will usually make a little small-talk with you. I am sad to see the Equaline and Homelife products fade away (former Albertsons products), but that was to be expected eventually. read more

I work very close to this store and EWE! Everytime I have walked over to get anything they don't seem to have it, or at least where anyone could find it. Just this morning I walked over for a cup of coffee, you wouldn't think that would be to much to ask for a grocery store. I got a used cup, it had lipstick on it, out of the "new cup" pile, poured my 4hr old coffee and then.....oh wait, no lids, no sugar, no creamer....hmmmmm. SO I proceeded to go to the front and pay. Yep, lights on, NO cashiers! Then they blamed me and said, oh I didn't see you there. There are a lot on nice grocery stores in Lodi. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!!!!! read more
