ok wow... i landed in Arcata super late and between all my flight delays i hadn't had a chance to eat all day. i was sooo hungry Arcata closes quite early and it was not almost midnight... thank goodness for Raliberto's. I did not come with high hopes...if you've ever met a San Diegan eating mexican food outside of san diego...well you would know we are generally disappointed. i was pleased to find out that the family who owns Raliberto's is FROM SAN DIEGO! I had a carne asada quesadilla...it was amazing!! maybe it was the hunger talking but I loved it. Salsa's are also fabulous. 100% love this and look forward to returning read more

I love this place for their crunchy roles tacos. Aka taquitos. They are crunchy, topped with sour cream, cheese and avocado sauce. The restaurants clean low-key cool spot to eat outside as well. Staff is friendly definitely a chill spot to go and eat with good, hot, made fresh food. read more

Can't really beat $12 for five larger-than-average street tacos and a fountain drink. Pretty much my go-to, so I can't speak for too much else on the menu. Not all meats are created equal. This goes for any taqueria that offers a variety. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I'd pass on the asada and chicken. My preferences are the pastor and the carnitas which tend to be more flavorful than the former. I like the array of house-made hot sauces and condiments they have on hand. Watch the dark red stuff, it's got some real heat, but a small amount of it mixed with a more liberal portion of whatever other sauces tends to give a nice balance of heat and flavor. Add in a generous squeeze of lime and you're set. Dunno what else to say except that the place seems reasonably clean for what it is. It's an old building, but fwiw I've never sighted nor heard of any major health or hygiene hazards. Not the best, but not the worst. read more

Five stars for the food, take away two for the cleanliness... I walked in a few minutes after they opened. The restaurant was overall clean on the inside. I realize that it's an older building. However, the first thing that I noticed, was that my eyes were watering a little bit, and I was coughing a tiny bit. It smelled like smoke, like the oil had been overheated. It didn't smell old or anything like that... I decided to go with the chorizo fries, and I asked for tots instead of fries. The lady was very nice, but there was a little bit of a language barrier before she finally figured out that I wanted the tots. I asked for a half order, but again, due to the language barrier, I got a full order. I didn't mind, as the price was still reasonable, and the chorizo was very good. Rich, a little bit spicy, and sure,, it was a tiny bit greasy, but hey, it's chorizo. The tots had a good flavor and were very crunchy. The tots were not greasy at all I liked the dish very much. They have a small salsa bar and a soda fountain, which were both clean. However, the bathroom? FUGGEDDABOUDIT!!!!! That bathroom needs a. *LOT* of work..... I don't think I'll be back. This food was good, but I think next time I would try one of the two Eureka stores. Thanks anyway. read more

Friendly service but food was too bland. I ordered a Chile burrito and it was decent but I love adding guacamole and Chile which were available on the side but unfortunately those were too watery My partner in the other hand had a combination plate and each dish tasted either too salty or bland. Growing up in L.A. I did notice the vast difference from homemade to over salted food. read more

There aren't many late night eats in the area but Raliberto's is perfect! It gives off an initial fast food vibe but the staff and food were all great. And the food did come pretty fast. Portions are quite large, even with a 1/2 order of asada fries. read more

We came across this place last December during our yearly trip to Humboldt County... We made it a point to return just for the tacos and salsa options. Their burritos are yummy too. The salsa bar is very clean, overall it's a well kept / clean establishment. I would recommend the food to others!! The prices are good as well. read more

This was the first time I ordered a California burrito which had cubed breakfast style potatoes instead of French fries. The French fries are there to give it a crunch. Burrito was also not grilled which was super weird. Very bland and unseasoned overall. read more

Casual SoCal - style Mexican food. Good menu. Bright interior. I got the Carne Asada burrito. I was very happy that the burrito had no rice and beans fillers. Just steak and guacamole. I didn't really like the way the steak was seasoned, but that's personal preference. I'm probably going to try the Adobada, next time. I also got the chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and warm, and came with Roja, Verde, and Pico de Gallo. The Verde was a bit too salty. My husband goes here in the morning after dropping our son off at preschool. After a few days of him showing up with a taco in had, I caved and asked him to get me one the next time he went. I asked him to have potatoes put on it instead of meat (I'm picky about meat and usually order vegetarian when eating out). I know they have potatoes because it's offered as a filling in other menu items. Hy husband say they refused to do that, and that they were rude about him even asking for that.
