Not only were they running a promotion, but they also use top-of-the-line XPEL PPF, which gave me a lot of confidence in the quality. I ended up doing a full body matte PPF, along with XPEL tint on my front windshield and both front windows, plus a satin matte ceramic coating. I just picked up the car yesterday, and everything looks dialed in edges and corners are clean and properly finished. Alberto was solid throughout the whole process: transparent, easy to communicate with, and he delivered the car right on the timeline he promised. They even told me to come back in about 3 weeks for a free inspection and wash to make sure everything cures properly, which I really appreciated. Overall, great experience. Another installed incorrectly sized PPF, which later resulted in significant paint damage that would have otherwise been protected on a GT3. I swore off PPF on my last three cars... until now. I had to learn the hard way that the installer matters more than the product. I've lived it. Each car I've bought from new has been paint corrected & ceramic coated but I avoided PPF altogether due to PTSD. I'd pick up a few stone chips & live with it... I figured that's a much better alternative than risking another knife job. Looking back, it was more of a compromise than a solution. Fast forward & a few weeks back, I took delivery of my PTS 992.2 Carrera T & started to seriously consider giving PPF another chance. Especially since I also have a 991.2 GT3 Touring that has been fully wrapped from new, & the quality of that work has been flawless. 7+ years later. So, I really wanted the same protection & quality on my PTS T. Try to lock in as much of the factory fresh paint as possible for long term ownership. I researched & visited dozens of shops around the Bay Area. Along the way, I discovered that the shop I ultimately chose was the same company that wrapped my GT3 at their Orange County location... Protective Film Solutions NorCal Lorenzo (manager) & his team; Rafael, who handled the paint correction, & Jeff, who installed the Xpel ultimate plus PPF & applied the Xpel fusion plus premium ceramic coating, delivered exactly what I was hoping for. They guaranteed their installs would never cut into the paint & the results would be perfect! I was able to visit the facility a few times to see their finished work & was invited back during the PPF process. The install was completely seamless, & Jeff walked me through his install process. The attention to detail & level of craftsmanship is genuinely impressive. It's an artform! That transparency went a long way in rebuilding my confidence. Lorenzo has stayed in touch throughout the entire process, coordinated timing while the car was in transit, & even held an opening over the holidays so I could drop the car off the same day I took delivery. First class service from start to finish. They've documented the entire process, from factory paint issues at drop-off (etching, scratches, etc.), to the PPF install & ceramic coating application. For a PTS car I plan to hold onto like my GT3, having the documentation & knowing the paint was properly corrected & protected from day one means a lot.
