Hot days are the perfect excuse to have ice cream. I arrived with high expectations and left a little disappointed. First, my favorites were all finished-rum raisin and butter pecan so I ordered a double scoop with chunky monkey and snickers on a sugar cone. Second, the ice cream wasn't hard and was melting almost immediately. Forcing me to eat it quicker than I would like. Not the most enjoyable experience. Here are the good flavors: Passion fruit: almost as good as lillikoi in Hawaii Jelly ring: chocolate cream ice with lots of jelly ring cups Sour apple: tart and sweet apples Pineapple is not very flavorful. Neither is grape. It's always summertime when Ralph is open! read more

Whoever i was just on the phone with that called me about my Uber ears order trying to argue with me needs to be fired as soon as possible very rude and disgusting I've been a customer for years never had a issue and even if i order something that they don't have in stock they help me get something else because of the inconvenience . Please retrain that little girl to know how to talk to people because clearly she has no idea. I go here every week for Italian ices and ice cream. The staff is very friendly and lets you taste different flavors if you ask. In the photo I got a twister of chocolate soft serve and black raspberry Italian ice. A twister has ice cream on the bottom and top and Italian ice in the middle. I've been coming here for years and will continue to go. A good plus is the opening sale when it's buy one get one free along with the closing sale which is the same. read more

If I have to choose a Ralph's I prefer, it's not this one! The parking is rather difficult, because chances are you will not find a spot out front. There is a teeny lot down the side road, but it looks like hell to get out of if it is crowded. I had to drive around and then down a residential street to finally park on a dead-end street. Once inside, they have a table right in front of the flavor board! Uh, what? How am I supposed to choose flavors when there is a bloody table in front of the flavor list? I chose my flavors (chose some old standbys) and sat outside to enjoy it on some rickety wooden chairs. This place got a lot of foot traffic while I was there, although most people seemed to arrive by bicycle. The ice was very good, but the location could be better. Ah well. For some reason, Ralph's Ices is my ultimate hangover cure. It's true! I can be sick as a dog, go to Ralph's, order a medium rainbow, lemon, or sour cherry water ice, and feel 100% better with in the first few spoonfuls. I don't know what magical water it is made with but, it does the trick every time! Every March, I get so excited because that means Ralph's will have their Grand Re-Opening. Most locations close during the colder months. I was in Oceanside this weekend, hanging out with my friend and we decided to go for ices. This time though I wasn't in the mood for an ice so I decided to try a sundae. I got the Hot Fudge Brownie sundae with chocolate soft serve. The luscious brownies were hot and fudgy and delicious. I mean DELICIOUS! It was a splurge but so worth the addition to my spare tire. The staff at this location were very helpful and offered us taste samples of the newest ice flavors (gummy bear and cinnamon bun.) My next ice will absolutely be the cinnamon bun. There was a steady line even at 9:00 PM. I liked this location because I often puppy sit my friends dog and it is within walking distance of her house. I did notice that the prices went up again, as they seem to every year. They don't take credit cards either which was a little inconvenient, because I didn't have cash on me. The parking was pretty atrocious in front on Merrick Road, and to make matters worse, there is a bus stop. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this Ralph's, but that is only because there is one closer to my house. read more

Thank goodness for free samples. I tried a couple different choices and was underwhelmed until I finally hit on the passion fruit ice. Wow, the passion fruit ice is fantastic. Excellent flavor - very fruity, and not overly sugary. Absolutely would order it again. read more
