Betty's is a small shop with a long counter where you order and where the staff is stationed. The other side has a small counter space but it's mostly taken up by products like candy. Seating is mostly set up outside the shop in a partly fenced off area. On this particular visit I picked up some popcorn and seasoned it with olive oil and garlic salt. It was really yummy and man, you really can't beat fresh popped! The feature item for me was the shaved ice which is freshly made to order. I ordered a lime and watermelon flavor combination. I am trying to watch my sugar intake so I ordered a small but *holy cow* the thing was *huge*! It was easily enough for two people to share and it made for a beautiful serving. The shaved ice is served in a cup that then sits inside holes carved into the tables outside. It's a fantastic way to keep the treat stable without having to use a gigantic bowl. The watermelon/lime combination was delicious but it does get really sweet towards the bottom where the syrup condenses. No joke, you could easily take the remaining syrup and add it to a seltzer to make a soda! I really enjoyed Betty's and look forward to visiting again in the future!
